Windows 7 is what a PC *should* be
It's so sad. Windows 7 was groundbreaking in different ways, just like the aero aesthetic. Totally an event that marked a whole generation. Miss Win7. 😢
Aero aesthetic was windows vista. Actually most of what windows 7 had vista had originally. Besides home group and the taskbar.
@@9852323 and yeah you can't basically enable the old start menu anymore in 7
@@9852323 he said just like
@@9852323 Windows 7 was basically Vista without any of the issues people associated with Vista. Basically just an upgraded revision. Which is fine because the base concept was already great, didn't need any major changes, just some fixing up.
xp was the best ever vista wort ever and seven was decent pretty usable while being modernish all windows suck compared to linux
Windows 7 was the first os and computer that I ever used in my life. I remember using windows 7 in my old school with 1 computer in my class and a big computer room with windows 7. I remember hearing that startup sound that made me happier as a kid.
Same!
Same but I had only 1 at home
same
same and i still use it to this day i used 10 and it was slow
same
I installed Windows 7 on my secondary laptop (plus activator to activate it) for 3 reasons
1. Nostalgia, I grew up with 7
2. Games that were made for Windows 7.
3. Windows Media Center.
❤
Hey how did you get the iso image? Microsoft removed it from their websites so any safe alternatives?
@@hitesh_ getmyos has no tampered isos and the isos are genuine to download but you'll need a Google account for gdrive
I grew up with xp
@@hitesh_did u find an answer?
I loved Windows 7. I also still remember, with great fondness, Windows XP. It was simple, nimble, and reasonably STABLE.
I use windows 7 almost every day on time appropriate hardware (YES, I DO HAVE A WINDOWS 10 PC) and it's still 100% usable.
Stuff to remember about using windows 7
1. DO NOT download feature updates, they REALLLY slow down the system.
2. Disable aero while gaming/doing graphics intensive stuff, this will allow the GPU to focus on the game/program.
my grandparents have windows 7 ultimate i think still
@@crazywarp36 yooo i have w7 ultimate too
@@regav62 Nice
It still gets some updates???
I still use windows 7 with a GTX-1660ti 6gb i7 and 32gb ram plus 1tb ssd and 3tb hdd. I have zero need to switch till the stuff I do on my pc is no longer possible. Mostly every program I’ve came across still supports windows 7
I'm still on Windows 7. Had an Alienware laptop when Windows 7 came out, then moved to a custom-built PC in 2015 with a powerful CPU and a mid-range GPU back then. I am still on that computer, replaced the GPU for a bit more powerful one and yesterday I ordered 32 gigs of ram for the PC, been on 8 gigs for probably close to two decades, but can't remember that far back. Also replaced my old Blu-ray recorder with a new one I am going to install when it arrives, don't use blu-ray for recording any more, but I need to get my discs to read information I put there long ago.
I don't really care for most AAA games, but I was playing Cyberpunk 2077 and finished it multiple times on my custom computer running Windows 7. Mostly I prefer indie games, like right now I've been playing Exiled Kingdoms over and over and I had about 3000 hours on Sea Dogs to Each his own. Doesn't matter if Steam is going to stop supporting Windows 7 cause I cancelled Steam a few months back and deleted my close to a 100 games I had on it.
Let's see what Windows 12 looks like, maybe I'll switch if Microshaft stops screwing over their base. Of course, very unlikely Microshaft will give up their control over our PCs, tyrants don't give up power on their own.
i'll always love windows 7, its what i used for my first pc and it was perfect. no bloatware (not that i cared at the time) and it ran amazing on low specs. i would definitely use windows 7 if some games were at least still supported
I am still using windows 7 to this day with an antivirus. I have a dark theme using rainmeter and nexus dock to make it more modern while keeping the fruitiger aero feel
let's gooo. i use Kaspersky and started to use open source applications to avoid end of service support limitations and using manual updates.
cool keep it up love that you are still useing windows 7
same me and my freind still use windows seven (i don't always but i half the time do)
still using win7 without any problems yet
I first used windows xp on the school computers and it was fun to use. But when my parents bought our laptop, windows 7 was absolutely beautiful. I loved everything about windows 7 and i loved using windows media center nostalgic 😢 and i also played internet checkers
I don't know what his problem is. I've installed 7 on all 3 of my current computers, and I use them daily. My A-V still supports 7. I'm missing only recent updates. I don't play games.
are you sure, windows 11 is the second most loved OS? every YT video I see talks mostly bad about Windows 11
Windows 11 IS Windows 10 with a fresh new ui and some new cpu scheduling features for the newer intel chips with e and p cores. Knowing microsoft theyll keep adding nifty features to make people switch so they can get more customers on their increasingly intrusive os. Same thing happened with windows 7 and the windows store which nobody used in the windows 8 era. I had friends who literally did the upgrade just because they wanted to get access to the xbox game pass and thus were forced into signing up for a microsoft account for device login.
You can make some analogies matching to the windows releases of the 2000’s.
Windows XP=Windows 10
Windows Vista=Windows 11
Windows 7=Windows 12.x
(Hopefully Windows 12 will be as good as Windows 7)
At the present tym... I long for windows 11
It does seem to run better than 10 on most of my PCs, and I like the look of it more (although I might be biased because I do Apple's UI). It's not as good as 7 or 8.1, but still decent.
it's because it is a failure
I'm still using Windows 7. My pc has no malware (idr a time i had to thank microshaft for rolling out an update that saved my system from one). It does everything including gaming and does it very well. It is highly stable. It is very customizable. It is not shady. It has no telemetry / official spyware updates installed. I know steam and others are obligated to make people buy newer windows, but when that time comes on 1.1.2024 I will move to Linux. I refuse to feed money to no good organizations especially when something free and powerful like Linux is there.
It's almost November 2023 and I am still using Win7.
received 2 updates for win 7 today
will always stay with win 7
I love Windows 7, when we had to update to Windows 10, I was dissapointed. I really did not wanna switch, I still miss Win 7, I love that Aero design 💙
windows 7 is the best windows i have ever seen it combined everything to be on 1 operating system windows 7 will never be forgotten 😢😢😢😢😢😢
First time using Windows 7 at 2011. Finally i end using the OS in 2017, and installed a fresh windows 10 on my PC for good. It was great times working many 3D & graphics projects with win 7.
This was a really good video, very entertaining, and quite informative. Also, I couldn't care less about it being unsupported XD. MOST of my computers run Windows 7, and they are great! I daily drive a Dell Inspiron E1505 running 7, and it can do almost everything my newer PCs can (except run games).
It's still usable, it has extended support, also, it has only been 2 damn years since it's support was discontinued.
Fan fact about the mac mini, you could boot to internet recovery by pressing Command R and Alt/Opt keys
I went to a local college last year to learn a short ICT course and all the computers had Windows 7😮 I don't know but I just fell in love with the OS
i still use windows xp on my ryzen xp just fine lol, i can still run chrome 109 with the one core api, windows 7 is stil usable in 2023 for basic tasks, even for gaming
XP as a secondary or main PC? Would be cool to see someone still using XP
Wait what are using it in your main pc ?
“Ryzen XP?” Or did you mean the old Athlon XP? But also, if you did get Windows XP to run on Ryzen, how? What motherboard and CPU are you using? Hard disk or SSD? I’ve got a Ryzen 7 5700X on a B450 board and I still can’t even get Windows 7 to run perfectly, no matter what it will not use the USB 3 ports correctly, I can’t imagine the headache to get XP to work!
@@TH3C001 yeah xp can't install properly unless you bypass something.
You can't use Chrome 109 with or without open core, you can run 102 if you are lucky
We use it till now in our Work because we have an old Database that works only in Windows 7, and it works like a charm. No problems at all.
Still works fine at my old PC. Some web pages are scrumbled but you get use to it.
Some of our computers in our office still runs on Windows 7. Thought not all of them are connected to the internet, they work like a charm for office works
When I went from XP to 7 I ended up using a fully updated Vista for a couple of months. I noticed no difference when I eventually got 7.
I'm literally watching this CZcams video via my T430s Thinkpad running Win 7 Pro which I use every day for working purposes... and it still works like a charm and way much better than win11 running on my X390
Gta 4 has that graphics bug because it doesn't automatically detect video memory. So you have to manually make a txt file for that to fix it. But using a disc version does detect memory strangely.
As I recall, Win 7 had the best screen adjustment panel of them all- never seen any as good since. It's frustrating when they take away something you like and there is no way to get it back.
windows 7 was my childhood, i remember i used to play purble place on my father's old laptop, now i have windows 11 but i will never forget windows 7
Windows 7 is still a great option today because of how lightweight it is. Windows 11 is pure bloatware
I have never stopped using Win 7.
I have never went beyond 7 and I very unlikely I will. I have a ryzen pc I built. No 10 or 11 or whatever for me. 7 is a near perfect OS. If it finally gets to where there are problems with support for the software I use I will probably go to an open source OS. They are getting closer to what I call usable every day.
my main Desktop PC at home still run on Win7, and secondly OS is win 10, just incase some program I need has no long support Win 7 .
Using it right now and will work my arse off to keep a HDD of the updates and patches! All updates and patches!
Watching this was like stepping into the future.
The best way to use Windows 7 in 2023 is not to install the actual firmware on your PC, but to run it off of a virtual machine on a Windows 10 or 11 PC. In fact I used to do it a lot in high school and Windows 7 ran pretty much as fast as the main Windows 10 os through VMWare. You can also set it up to use WiFi and basically explore the internet free from worries about viruses because a VM is isolated.
Very enjoyable presentation.Thanks.
great content ❤
man im still using windows 7 for my mc server 😂😂😂😂
w
SAMEEEE😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅
i still have windows 98 on my computer that i no longer use
I'm still using it on my main laptop
why are you using windows for a server
I stopped using Windows XP in 2022, so dont expect me to let Windows 7 retire soon
Me, who still uses Windows 7 Ultimate since 2012: *Interesting~*
you should test out unofficial service packs/patches and mods
I still use Windows 7 today. Why? it's fast to install and when The Pirate Bay was still up and running most of the software was made for Windows 7 as well.
We still use it for the cnc machine and designing, no problem at all
My uncle still uses windows 7 😆
No it was not exactly like vista, it was and is actually quite stable, and it lost the tile screen option that ended up being used in iPod. =/ That's one feature of Vista I miss.
Thanks for sharing the update site.
Windows 7 was the first operating system that I officially purchased and used without reinstalling for almost six years. Then I installed Windows 8.1, and with the release of the new version of Windows, I upgraded to Windows 10 - and all this is completely free.
My whole school life was connected with Windows 7. It was on this operating system that I created projects, presentations and the first social media accounts.
I've been using W7Pro almost since it was released. I still use it as it does all I need. I have an effective security system so, why should I change ?
Actually I still use Windows 7, Vista, XP. Just recently install Windows 11 another machine. They can pri Windows 7 off my cold dead hands before I give it up!
Am I out of touch? I'm still using windows 7 to this very day...
I'm still using it on a daily basis and refuse to switch to 10. 7 just works better for me
I regret wiping Vista from my old pc without doing a backup tbh
windows 7 was the first windows computer i ever used! my brother and i would watch cat videos all the time on there in the early 2010's :D
RIP 7 you made me a lot of memories to me
actually tghhe problem with windows update, is the fact that in windows 7 windows update is brocken by default (windows being windows), you need to usen some patches to make it work and it will install like 4GB in updates and even some drivers as well
I have windows 11 pc, but it got a shitty due to frequent updates, it's like they make this OS an experimanetal crap taking features in and out.. moreover these updates has literally nothing to do with work and it uses up my precious time.
So glad I switch back to Windows 7, It can still run most software esp. the ones I needed, and Firefox still offers their latest version.
Windows 7 still feels new to me
Hey how did you find the iso image to install? Any safe websites since Microsoft removed it from their websites?
This is the one you want... SHA1:
A491F985DCCFB5863F31B728DDDBEDB2FF4DF8D1
If you have a legit Ultimate key then use Ultimate, otherwise don't because it won't activate using KMS if you're using a GPT partition - which you will be doing if installing via USB.
I used a windows 7 in 2023 no problems
i had windows 7 windows xp and windows vista on my windows 10 💔 bye old windows operating systems😥😥😥😭😭😭😖😖😖😖😭😭😭😢
You failed to mention that Vista had tons of compatibility issues with basically any hardware of the time because hardware manufacturers failed to bring out any working drivers while with WIndows 7, they actually had time to do so. It's easy to say that you like Windows Vista in retrospect when you have working drivers and programs.
i am currently watching this on a windows 7 laptop.
Legend
Vista and 7 is faster for me in my laptop cuz we have 8gb but w7 is taking only 1-2gb vs w10 5-4 gb
one of the computers at my library uses windows 7 legendary
And here it is 2024 and I'm still using Windows 7 big deal! Still works for me! I have tried Windows 8, 10 and Windows 11. Not a big fan of those operating systems.
Windows 7 was the finished version of Vista. It ironed out all of the shortcomings Vista had. That's why it's the most refined Windows they ever made. Nobody can convince me otherwise. Windows 10 was a giant step back from this perfection.
I have used Windows 7 , 8 , 10 and 11
Trust me they all do the same thing by different user interface
But!! On YT some people make it feels like there is hell of difference etc etc.
Because of which the new guys buying pc thinks this is lot faster ⚡that will make my pc slow etc.
Just install what is recommend with ur spec
Windows Update is not broken, to York it requieres some manual security updates. Then will work as entendly
Yes, it needs an update for the TLS certs.
i'd like to see windows 7 and windows xp back :(
Lol, I still use Windows 7 in 2023 using a Dell Inspiron 530 running a C2D E4500 with 4GB DDR2 (upgraded from 1GB) and 250GB SSD (upgraded from 80GB HDD).
Still using windows 7, you can’t tell me windows 10 or 11 looks better. Plus windows 7 is still really usable on the latest update
1 word: yes
Windows 7 had many improvements over Vista. It would not have existed without Vista. Many people like the beautiful aero glass transparency. Windows 7 is now 14 years old meaning it is too old to use as it doesn't have the latest internet and security tools. Chrome, MS Edge and Firefox are ending support for Windows 7. I had pre-ordered Windows 7
this posted from win7, so still not dead
I still use Win 7 on the PC i use to watch youtube and stream movies
can you do mac os on a windows device please please please😀
Windows 7 was the first windows i grew up with and have a laptop that bo longer works that has win 7
I have Windows 7 (Ultimate) right now
Please do a video on windows 8 and 8.1 (idk if u can agree but windows 8.1 is actually so good)
I already did czcams.com/video/9IAqyDMIfbc/video.html
I litterally Have The same Setup Just Intel Hd graphics 3000
Totally usable for older hardware
The rolling of the eyes haha
Still using it
i use my windows 7 everyday! Yep, i have two windows 10 and hate them. Until i can no longer use it, I will forever keep it going. Best OS ever developed!
I still use netbook. Reformatted it and all my files and applications are gone. Is there a way i can download Browsers like google or firefox and Microsoft Office 2007? For now my netbook is useless. Specs Windows Ultimate 32bit
My moms old computer works on windows vista
I’m still running windows 7 ultimate
My main pc still using win 7 : 🗿
Amen to you my friend ! Been a Windows 7 user since 2009, and will be for life.
@@hman069 its great to see people still using Windows 7 even its not supported anymore but cool!1!1!

Short way: yes.
i still use a win7 pc but its not my main pc
as a current windows 11 user, my love for windows 7 will never end
Windows 7 is still my favorite.
I want to use Windows 7, mainly for legacy software that doesn't work on Windows 10 & up.
My Printmaster 18.1 was working on Windows 10, but not any more.
WELL...i am watching this video on windows 7
The thing about windows 7 is that you can properly still use it today, I mean it isn’t updated by Microsoft but don’t let that stop you!
Tip for Browsers on Windows 7: The latest version of Firefox still runs perfectly.
PS: Chrome is a monopoly and as privacy intrusive as the KGB.
Whenever I use windows 7 on a virtual machine I stick to slightly older versions of Firefox like 79 ESR
@@smartninja3651 why though? Are you trying to use less ram?
@@yhfhdcf no they just run better
Only for 3 days period, then it starts to bang you with activation.
I still use Win7, and have no problems. Dunno what all the hubbub is about. I'd rather stay here on this, than use one of those...well, they shouldn't call it Windows, they should call it something Linux-like, for example SpyOS, or NoPrivACE, or even YouDon'tOwnItOS.
March 2024 im still using Win7 on a Amd phenom 965BE with a 1050ti
worked for me since 2013. still works in 2024...........
skype works / firefox works / steam is 50/50
