In my opinion, Windows XP is one of the beautiest visual style operating system. I hope that someone make new Windows 10/11 look totally the same as XP with all XP applications but with support new PCs.

Yeah IDC if there is no animations on a window. It is still beautiful and almost as gorgeous as Windows 7.
You don’t need the power of new PCs to run XP. It can run on PCs from 1997 to 2013. I run it on a pc from 2013 in dual boot with windows 11. Both operating systems run blazing fast.

I was on Windows 7 from Christmas 2009 until October 2022, now I can finally run Windows 10 thanks to upgrading to an SSD. I am going to miss Windows 7, and it just reminded me of when i went through the same thing woth Windows XP. Both are amazing, and I am also excited for when Windows 7 is as well loved and remembered as Windows XP is now.

The bad news is that you only have 2 years until Windows 10 meets the same fate as Windows 7 and XP.
I just installed windows xp on my old laptop 2 days ago and I was really annoyed and gave up. The second I gave up and "man i'll just watch youtube" this video popped up like a joke

I had a 2004 Dell D610 laptop playing a CZcams video the other day. Performance was 360p window only full screen would freak out though because it would peg the cpu at 100% so the result would be a stuttering mess because of constant dropped frames. To be fair the Intel video accelerator was never really good for performance but on the other hand it works well enough for most of what I play on it for now.
The main issue with playing videos on a pc of that age is the CPU not the video chipset. The intel video card is more than capable of playing 480p video. Some PCs that age can even play 720p or 1080p just fine without dropping frames. It’s the processor overhead of having to load CZcams which is severely bloated and unoptimized nowadays. CZcams ran just fine back in 2013 on a pc from 2003.
@@9852323 I’ve honestly seen a few computers from 2010 struggle with the current version of CZcams. Mind you again playback is possible but anything over 720p could easily drop frames without a dedicated graphics card. 4k on the other hand is indeed just a pipe dream but was sadly once able to play without dropping a single frame.

@@GeorgeKarampatsos I wonder how long windows xp users will have the ability to use the MyPal browser before it becomes just as unusable like the Firefox extended service release I use to use prior to year 2020. On a side note my windows xp install on my D610 became corrupted suddenly about week ago when I was attempting to run an old copy of alldata for my mechanic friend on location. Battery held fine but windows xp quickly froze and didn't want to boot again afterwards. At this point though it takes me about an hour to recover from such a failure as I cloned my drive when it was in good working order. Using an old copy Hiren's boot CD I load mini xp and clone my backup copy drive to the internal drive and when it is done things just work. Also since my drive contains an early version of windows 10 I can actually access the internet using a more modern OS despite it being out of date at the same. I wouldn't recommend it as the only OS however since it is so far out of date that all included apps that are installed or updated through the windows store won't work because the windows store can't be updated because the Dell D610 can't even update to the windows 10 anniversary update. It will try if you let so if you install Windows 10 make it the pro version so you can pause windows updates permanently. Otherwise you will end up with a cycle of the machine attempting to install an update that will fail. Sadly windows 7 and 8 will contain much the same story if you update them to near end of life. On a more serious note for your D610 check out legacyupdate dot net to get windows update functional again.
Former Windows XP user here. Well, Windows XP was the first OS I used. Using it to play games, browse my Childhood photos on File Explorer, even watch video that was recorded on Camera
I mostly loved layout from windows xp and 7. Win 10 & 11 is okay but not as much as the two previous os. Interface was made good in both too. Vista offered a lot modern innovations, hovewer a lot people's pcs were not ready to handle this os on the day of release, that is why it failed.
Short Fun Fact: in order dos and 9x programs to work. You need NTVDM for 32-bit computers. For ex. My Neighborhood needs to work on NTVDM.

Finding drivers for XP is like throwing a sewing needle into space at lightspeed, counting to 1 million and then going around the galaxy and searching every single exoplanet in the galaxy to see if the needle landed on it

It depends on your hardware and the manufacturer. You won't Find XP drivers for newer hardware of course, but some manufacturers still host the drivers for their older hardware. I still have an older system from that era that I got back up and running about 2 years ago and I was able to find all the drivers for it with fairly little trouble.

I disagree with you conclusion, while it maybe a little shaky with DLLs, there are browsers that ARE safe to use, so now I have a challenge, I will have to make a machine just for this challenge and it will be as upto date as I can make it, still it was watching how far you went in this little film, so thank you 💙💙

I have to say that I am tired of the constant degrading of people that use older operating systems. The truth is every operating system consumers have access to is old and outdated. However the security risks are not because the operating systems are outdated (Linux is a great example of that thanks to the kernel being so far ahead of every distro on the market), but because of the way the end user uses the system. Old Windows XP is a great example of that because people who run it take the time to understand the risks and take precautions such as having very limited internet access and very strict information policies on the systems appropriate to their internet capabilities before using it to include the military and Putin. Most people at home who are going to install and use XP are going to do so wisely as to only use it for games. They are not going to be doing online banking on it or even keep important information on it regardless if they connect it to the internet. And almost all of them who do connect it to the internet will have some sort of network security in between instead of an all out traffic to the XP machine.

Windows XP is still really undoubtedly very very very good, XP is a legendary and immortal operating system, I've been using it since elementary school and I still use it to this day (of course together with Windows 7), while I use Windows 10 just little bit because Windows 10 is too modern and not interesting at all for that simple logical reason and Windows 10 forces non-stop updates in the background

Windows xp is still useful in 2024, especially on old tablet pcs for drawing and watching tv with an old tuner and a wifi adapter. just don't link it to other devices on the network or put anything on it that you wouldn't want to lose (photos, passwords, etc.).

XP isn't the first OS built on NT technology. It's the 5th.
NT3.1, NT3.5x, NT4, 2000, XP, and up from there. Win2000 was the first to tout "Built on NT Technology" though.
Highest CPU that XP can use is 4th-generation Core CPUs (like i7-4790K). I currently have it running on an i7-3770K. Motherboard manufacturers should have XP drivers for Socket-1150 motherboards. If they don't, chances are they deleted them.

Win XP fanboys are crazy. The first computer I bought new back in 2003 had XP, and compared to what came later, it was total garbage. Viruses and malware came at you from everywhere---you didn't have to be on shady p0rn sites or music downloading sites to get it, it would come prepackaged in things like software updates (not from MS). When 7 came out, it made XP look like a bad joke---not only was it more secure, but it was also far more capable
