I think you were right when you said the key ingredient in the poached egg is the egg, I haven't thought about it that way, but you are so right Kay...
Hey there Kay, my name is bliss and me and my community have been watching you for a while now. My mom showed me to do it this way a few months ago and it was an absolute revelation! I've tried it so many different ways, and this is hands down the easiest and most simplest with good results. Nice one Kay! ☺️✨
That’s a brilliant way to do a poached egg! Eggs are my favourite food but I’ve always struggled to cook a poached egg by swirling the water in a deep pan but this looks so easy! Can’t wait to try it, big thumbs up! 🍳
I would never of thought of using a frying pan to cook a poach egg & it looks like a fried egg .. Thanks for that idea Kay 👍 because I do like a poach egg or 2 on toast . Can't wait to see what your going to cook next . 👍
I meant the size of it . Because you can get a poaching pan & they just have 4 little black cup things in them . & they come out really small . I've seen you have one . That's all I ment .
That looks delicious, the eggs look perfectly cooked. I will try it tomorrow for breakfast. A thin slice of fried Spam and some cheese would go well. Thanks a lot for sharing your easy poached egg method.
Lovely! I baste my fried eggs just like you did with the water when poaching it. The only difference is that I fry it in the bacon grease left over from frying the bacon. Yum, now I want poached egg on toast!
Hey Kay nice to see you cooking again 💖 with it being summer I was hoping you could make a trifle with fresh berries 🍒 I too love any kind of egg on toast Infact I had dipped eggs and toast this morning 😋 you could also make a Denver omlet on toast yummy 🤤
I do like a nice poached egg. I usually just bathe mine in a pot of boiling vinegar but each their own and that lot. The best poached eggs I ever had was when I was on holiday down under. I went out for a walk in a lizard reserve and found some eggs buried just below the surface of the soil. The hot sun was giving me a right appetite for a bit of lunch so I took the eggs back to my yurt and poached them right up. Most of the eggs had some sort of animal in them but the three that just had egg were proper delicious and filled me right up. Fumbs up.
I have poached eggs on toast at least once a week. I do mine in a frying pan also, but I don't add anything to the water. Now I've found silicone egg cups on Temu and I get perfect poached eggs every time. I wish I could say it was a budget meal here in 🇨🇦, but $4 for a loaf of bread, $5-6 for butter and another $3-4 for bread makes it almost a luxury. I will never stop buying eggs though because they're versatile.
Yum! One of my favorite things to eat! Simple yet filling. If I'm feelin fancy I'll whip up a bit of hollandaise sauce for the top. Have you tried eggs benedict? You're just missing the ham and hollandaise sauce. And instead of this toast it's an English muffin. Just had it for lunch yesterday and after seeing this I can't help but have it for lunch again today 😂. 👍🏽
@laurensparanormalreviewsan860 truth.. but now we can all make our poached eggs perfect, and surprisingly, by a terrible home cook. Do love her vids tho ❤
Hey Kay are you doing ok? You seem really tired. It’s ok to take breaks if you have to, you are a great chef and we love you and will be here for you still even if you need some time off. Take care of yourself Kay ❤
Perfect poached egg Kay, mine usually turn out rubbish because I usually use a saucepan full of water rather than a frying pan. Will certainly use a frying pan from now on. Thanks for sowing me a perfect way to cook a poached egg👍🏻
Definitely using the egg in pan technique. Came out great! I’m going to put it with my Vietnamese rice dishes cause sometimes the restaurants overcook the yolk. Thanks!!
That is one of the best demonstrations you've ever done! Toss a bit of salt and pepper on it and I'd serve it to King Charles. Marco Pierre White has nothing on you, Kate.
Hey Kay I know your adventures in the kitchen don't always turn out glamorous but I think you did an absolutely fantastic job at this one! Don't tell me this was your first time poaching an egg?
Hi Kays👋 We always watch your videos. Can you say hello to Henry and me Valeria in your Next vedio? It Will make us Happy thanks for your videos, we love that.
I reckon the master touch to this sometimes difficult recipe was the addition of the toast at the last minute. Without that, this would've been a pretty ordinary breakfast.

Legitimately, the best technique for cooking a poached egg! Surprisingly good, imma try it next time ❤
I also leave the shell in my poached eggs. I love the added crunch
I spotted that too lol

shallow-poaching an egg looks so much easier than the usual way! I'm defs gonna try that
I have been wanting poached eggs for ages. This definitely helped me get rid of that desire! Cheers Kay 😊
Looks nice Kay! I'll be trying to make a poached egg myself this week.
I love poached heggys. I sometimes have fried egg on toasted bread rolls and sometimes beans on toasted rolls. I love lots of marge on hot toast

Great video Kay! An excellent birthday present for me :)
i have never seen anyone fry an egg in water...
Baffling...
It’s called basting. A good way to poach an egg - much neater. It’s one of the things she actually gets right.

Hi Kay, that poached egg on toast looks truly delicious 😢👍
That egg looked banging Kay.. seriously.. one of your best looking meals yet
Sorry Kay, but it does matter what kind of vinegar you use. Malt vinegar leaves gross stains on the egg. White vinegar only!
That was a great looking poached egg!

Hi Kay , you have made a budget meal look delicious. For me poached eggs are impossible to get right . But you make it look so easy .
Poaching an egg is difficult because of the quality of the eggs the supermarkets fob people off with.
