I love how you don't bother being too specific about things, like telling us what kind of herb you used in the batter. Once again showing us that vagueness is the cornerstone of every good recipe.
Kay, you are a masterpiece of a chef! I always thought that throwing a battered chicken in a deep fryer filled with luke-cold oil was always supposed to give my meal that extra razzamatazz. Kay, you are truly a treasure. Thank you again for your infinite cooking wisdom. Move over Bobby Flay!
This does look like a right treat to have on a Tuesday night. I remember one time I had something similar to this except instead of chicken it was fish and deep fried sticks of potatoes. I ate in a picture house while watching Salem's Lot but ended spilling most of it all over the person sitting in front of me at that bit when they're all in the jail and then the Vampire man jumps up right in the screen. It gave me a right fright. I did manage to pick most of it up though and finish it off and as an extra bonus I also found some popcorn and jelly babies which was perfect for a delicious free pudding. Fumbs up.
Oh Kay you're so sweet, I can't help but smile. I'm so bloody proud of you and how far you've come, you've got so many subscribers now which is lovely to see. Love all your cooking videos ❤
improved hawaii toast recipe ingredients: 1 small onion 1/2 inch of ginger 2 cloves of garlic 1 can of pineapple 1/2 tablespoon of cornstarch 2 tablespoons of lemon/lime juice 2 green chilis (optional, 1/2 green bell pepper can be used as a substitute if you want the taste but not the spice) brown sugar to taste sliced ham cheddar cheese (not really optional, but can be left out if lee doesn't want it) mayonnaise 8-12 slices of toast bread, enough to comfortably fill a baking sheet (really depends on the size of your toast slices) instructions: preheat the oven to 180°C/360°F in a small pot, fry onion, garlic and ginger until fragrant. empty the entire can of pineapples directly into the pot, along with the juices. if using them, slice up the chilis and add them to the pot. add sugar and keep simmering on medium heat until somewhat reduced. add lemon juice. in a seperate bowl, prepare a cornstarch slurry by dissolving the starch in as little warm water as possible. add the slurry to the pineapples, boil off the excess water and let it cool until it thickens up. toast the bread in a toaster until medium brown. add mayonnaise and one slice of ham to each slice of bread. add about one tablespoon of the cooled down pineapple and grate cheddar cheese on top. put on a baking sheet and broil on the top rack until the cheese is melted or the edges of the ham start to crisp up. enjoy!

ya know, Kay, I've never considered washing my chicken but i don't think it's so out of the ordinary *to* consider! in my home we buy bags of frozen chicken to defrost, and after defrosting it there's a pool of chicken juices and water in the bottom of the bag that can leave the breasts and thighs a little slimy looking. it can be sort of unappetizing when you think about it! as long as you didn't use dish soap, i don't see any problem with rinsing the meat lol
rinsing meat like this will spread live bacteria all over your kitchen and cause possible cross contamination, plus theres really no need for it as long as you cook the meat properly. on the same note please always make sure those chicken juices dont get to other parts of your fridge!
@@katvtay im not here to argue man. i dont even eat meat cuz ive been inside commercial meat farms and dissected these poor animals as part of my education. thinking youre making it "cleaner" by just rinsing the outside is delusional..
