    Fully appreciate the research into this. If it was me I'd just go for the flex fuel kit and full flex fuel tune so I can run whatever gas I want and get the most out of whatever percentage blend of E it currently is.

      Yes youre right! But this is a safe and reliable way to gain 40hp+ without voiding warranty or having the car tuned. If you live in california a flashed ecu wont pass

    Tried this and on my 2nd tank of mixing 4 gallons e85 and pump 93. so far no issues, car feels more consistent and with a little more pep. Thanks for the video and all the info

      Was that full tank or half tank with 3 gallons?

    • @jonathangiraldo2598

      @Dardantuned i pumped 4 gallons E85 first then the rest 93. is that a good ratio?

      @Dardantuned  Před 5 měsíci +1

      @@jonathangiraldo2598 if youre gonna fill it up do like 5 gallons of e85 if you do half tank do 3.4 gallons

      @Dardantuned gotcha. thanks for the info. I really do like how the car runs with the mix. probably the best mod out there, free 40-50 hp you can't beat that.🔥🔥🔥

    You mentioned doing this while running a stock 91 tune. What if I run 93 and have a Diablosport canned 93 tune? Would this work the same and still be safe? Still same ratios? 5 gallons of e85 and rest to fill the tank?

    So this only works aslong as the long term fuel trims can cover and keep the afr under 12s? Of course without flex fuel or tune

    • @Dardantuned
      @Dardantuned  Před rokem +4

      No, these cars run open loop at wot and run very rich. Adding ethanol allows it to lean out a bit and doesnt go into cat over temp enrichment. Fuel trims adjust part throttle. Too much ethanol will throw lean code. This mix doesnt, i run it daily

    Would I still see gains from doing this even tho I am at sea level and have access to 93 fuel?

      Yes of course! Test it witb draggy especially on a hot day! You can log it with hptuners as well

      @Dardantuned thanks for sharing your experience. Do you think it would be safe to do it with being full catless and have a drop in air filter?

    • @Dardantuned
      @Dardantuned  Před 10 měsíci +1

      @@z06cam31 yes of course, just follow what i said! Nothing will happen, worse case you will get fuel trim too high code if you put too much

    How much E can you safely add doing this? Like e20?

    • @Dardantuned
      @Dardantuned  Před 10 měsíci +2

      Add up to e30 and youre fine, but up to e25 if you want to play it safwr. You can log it and dyno it if toh would like! If you dyno it tell me before so i can help you remotely!

    Just dumb to add ethanol without tune the spark tables for ethanol...

    • @Dardantuned
      @Dardantuned  Před rokem +2

      Enlighten me how is it dumb? Something that’s better for the motor is dumb? Ive been doing this for years! I can tune it on e50 and makes 100whp more but say you got a stock z06 without a tune you can mix up to 4 gallons of e85 for full tank and will gain 40whp+ and be safer than just running 91. Afr was 11.6 and these cars have low and high octane tables for a reason
