Dam and I had the same engine in a civic with only 50k miles and the tuner blew it on the Dyno at only 17 pounds 🙃 and now I have a built engine but nobody near by to tuned it

Those Alpha drives are only good for up to 300hp. I'm guessing this engine setup is around 375hp with the cam and heads???

Let me help out. Let’s start with what you believe to be a catch can. It can be a catch can. But what u need is a expansion tank. The hose you have running to your catch can. Should run to the bottom of bottle. The bottle needs to be the highest point of cooking system. The idea is. When coolant get shot it expands. It goes out into catch can than when coolant cools it creates a vacuum and sucks back into engine. At the top of your expansion tank. Run a hose to a catch can that will be for overflow.

I always thought a sleeper car is a 4 door sedan, V8 under the hood, naturally aspirated, and very unassuming by its looks( not slammed , nice wheels). Anyway, nice little Honda.

SOOOOO here's what happened. He stressed one of the bolt holes for the half shaft bracket. That led to a crack that ended up windowing the block. On his casual 2-3 shift the stressed block portion that holds the half shaft finally let go. During the #2 pistons travel up/down it caught that windowed chunk and he broke the piston skirt and fractured the rod. The #2 main bearing looked fine. The wrist pin still had acceptable clearance and moved freely. This motor let go because of something NOT related to sheer power at the moment things went bad. Thank you for sharing the teardown video. The video evidence tells the entire story

I have a C6 Z06 HCI (Mild cam) puts down around 580RWHP and I doubt it would walk a C8Z. That said one of the biggest advantages of the C8Z is it's ability to launch so a roll race already is putting it outside it's wheel house.
