    Go with a mirage plus prop. The “plus” means has a good amount of bow lift. Over 70 you will want to consider a nose cone on the outdrive and if I starts to chine walk a set of tabs or correct prop will help with that.

    Why would you put in the music to the video, when the engine was making a much better sound.

    My SBC 452hp 383 stroker with an alpha would run 72 on gps with a 202 Lpx Crownline! Love it, figured you’d get a few more mph out of it. I ran a 22 pitch enertia. I did that swap ten years ago.

      Your boat probably had the 5.7 v8 1.48 outdrive ratio mine has the 1.81 v6 ratio that's how you were going faster with a 22p vs my 25p

    Get a bow lifting prop. Probably a 28" 3 blade chopper should do the trick.

    Wonder how a gt3 engine would run in a boat with 9100rpm. With a turbo straped to it.

    • @puttingwarheadsonforeheads9872
      @puttingwarheadsonforeheads9872 Před 28 dny

      Boat engines have must a lot more cam lift and duration on them so they don’t like to rev very high and make most of their power lower in their power band. Most high performance boat engines and outboards rev to 6500 rpm max because they can hold higher rpm’s at wide open throttle for longer periods of time without stressing out the engine. Higher rpm’s put a lot of strain on the valvetrain and it becomes harder to keep the engine from overheating. Of you cite race engines do that just know they get rebuilt every race. These engines get rebuilt after 200-300 hours for high performance engines and 500-1000+ if they are regular boat engines.

    Why is the tuner so focused on a 100 shot of NOS. (Idles to high 100 shot)
    (It runs good 100 shot)
    ( it runs runs bad 100 shot)
    Thought this was a nitrous video

    DEFINITE IMPROVEMENT OVER THE TYPICAL GM BOAT ANKER ENGINE'S THAT SUCK ASS. NOW IMAGINE A HIGH RPM 5.0 FORD COYOTE ENGINE IN IT. IT'S ALL ABOUT PROP RPM'S REASONABLY SPEAKING. NOW IMAGINE A 10 SPEED 10R80 FORD TRANSMISSION HOOKED TO IT. IT COULD TAKE A BIGGER PROP WITH MORE PITCH, AND THAT TRANSMISSION WOULD BE IDEAL FOR ALL SCENARIOS !. POWER FOR JUMPING UP ON PLANE QUICKLY, TOWING POWER, HIGH SPEED, LOWER RPM CRUISING SPEED, FUEL ECONOMY, LESS WEAR AND TEAR. THE LIST GOES ON.

      @@travtech1 I CHALLENGE YOU TO EXPLAIN WHY. ASK YOURSELF WOULD YOU OWN A CAR WITH ONE FORWARD GEAR. BTW, A PERSON ON CZcams DROPPED A TURBO CUMMINS ENGINE IN A BOAT. IT WAS SLOW. THEN HE HOOKED AN OLD STYLE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION TO IT WITH I THINK 3 FORWARD GEARS. NOW IT DOES OVER 90 MPH, AND JUMPS UP ON PLANE QUICKLY.

    Pretty nice work guys. Im curious though, why start with crappy hull? If you put all this in a fast by design hull you would be making impressive speed numbers and have a much cooler boat in the end. Bow riders are for kids
