    Works well, and it’s VERY quiet. App is super-easy to use.

    My survived a flood and was used in the aftermath of the flood. Is there any additional filter cleaning I should do ?

    We really haven't used our Danby dehumidifier, only in the basement in the spring. When I plugged it in, it has an error code of Eb. I took the water bucket out and put it back in and I still have the same error code. The power button does nothing, the error code stays lit. We have the drain hose to our floor drain but none of the buttons will work.

    How do you adjust the humidity level. The arrows don’t do anything.

    • @Sylvane
      @Sylvane  Před 4 lety

      Good morning Dave. The arrows on the control panel should adjust the set humidity level. Check your model's manual for troubleshooting if it's not working properly. Thank you - Zach from Sylvane

    Hi, I bought the pump model. The pump does not work. the water leaked at the bottom of the unit. It said to put the hose firmly and deep enough. Doing so too. BTW, how do I take the hose out? Thank you.

    • @Sylvane
      @Sylvane  Před 2 lety

      The pump should disconnect from the pump drain outlet by simply pulling on it. If your dehumidifier is leaking, Danby can be reached at 1-800-263-2629. Their service team is great and most of their dehumidifiers are backed by a 2-year limited warranty.

    My dehumidifier Danby 30 pint give me an E3 error....Can this be fixed?

    • @Sylvane
      @Sylvane  Před 3 lety +1

      It depends on the specific model number you have, but E3 can mean the air filter needs to be removed and put back into place. If that doesn't work, there may be another issue. Contact Danby's consumer care at 1-800-263-2629. They can help solve the problem.

    • @Sylvane
      @Sylvane  Před 4 lety

      Hi William - There are different types of Danby dehumidifiers. You can review your owner's manual for specific instructions on your model if it doesn't match the ones in this video. Thank you for watching! - Tony from Sylvane

    Im just curious about the “smart humidity feature” does it turn off automatically because if i set the “smart humidity feature” on my danby dehumidifier after a few minutes it will turn off or is it normal?

    • @Sylvane
      @Sylvane  Před 4 lety

      The Smart mode functionality adjusts based on your room conditions - so if your room is at a healthy humidity, it won't run the compressor. However, if the unit just cuts off completely, there may be an issue. You should contact a Danby technician directly at 1-800-600-3055.

      Andrew have u found its best to set it to smart humidity mode or do u set it to a desired humidity? Which is more energy efficient have u found out? Costco reviews on this said it was not energy efficient

    You all just refer people to manual for troubleshooting! Wtf? Not one video to tell you how to set up and trouble shoot a Danby! Not one! This is 2020 for God sakes! This isn't my newest 50 pint either! Shouldn't of bought this one. Big mistake. Getting a GE like EVERYONE told me to do. Why won't you answer questions? Do you think we haven't read the manual? wtf?
    The arrows won't work to gauge temp. I reset it!!! TWO TIMES! this isn't even two months old. The filter light came on! Cleaned it. Should any light come back on? Or no?
    How can you operate a dehumidifier if you can't adjust the settings?

      Old news, but you're right, you bought the wrong brand like I did. Worked for one season only. My Sears one before this ran for 15 yrs.

      @@bmac6645 seen this post. I just left it run continuously! It works great but it's bullsh you can't use all the settings to make it economical. Still can't to this day! It's why I bought it!

      @MG-cd9ek yup, and I have to pay the town $35 to dispose of it at the recycle center. Never Danby again.

  • @bmac6645
    @bmac6645 Před rokem +1

    Lasts 1 season and then quits. Runs but doesn't collect water even though humidity is set to 50 and unit says the current humidity near the unit is 67. Have tried unplugging cord. Nothing. Don't recommend this brand.
