I have a sound booth that gets hot. I'm wondering if draining the fully evaporative AC via a hose will prevent it from expelling any moisture through its exhaust duct. I don't want that moisture to fill the room outside my sound booth. Good or bad idea?

Anyone have a video to reference on a leaky pump connection? My dehumidifier leaking water. Have that pump to go up. Been working well over a year. No problem till now. Unlike this video,my pump hose is connected in bucket section. Leaking at connection. Havent taken apart yet. Is leaking common. What could be wrong. A washer gone bad. Unit never moves. central air is disgusting. It mix everyone's air(bathroom air, basement air) and redistribute it to everyone. One of you got covid? Congrats the entire family gets covid thanks to central. Minisplit just recycle the your own air in your own room.

I hope someone can tell me if I need a whole house dehumidifier or not. We have a 2 story house that's almost exactly 1000 SqFt top and bottom. The bottom is no problem at all with temps or humidity. The top is. There will be a 10° difference in temp and a 10-15% difference in humidity levels. We have two A/C units one for upstairs and one for down. The upstairs unit runs constantly and barely keeps up while the downstairs one barely breaks a sweat. I feel like a dehumidifier for just the upstairs would maybe do the trick?

you show 'drain' has 2 different connections? do they both do the same job? so could only need to connect a hose to one or the other?

How do I put a 3 way switch in it

Got a pelonis one. Where it sits inside and vent tube goes out the window. Says p1 code. Thats full water tank. Barly any water came out. Was that all it was? The error is gone. Or should disconnect the vent tube? So i can i tip it back and see if there is more water. Every time i see someone drain it. They just un do the plug. And thats all they have to do. Im also woundering if it could be like stuff in there and i need to suck it out with an air compressor

i bet 99% went here how to clean their pads but also this video: throw it away and buy new pads lmaoooooo as if all pads are same sizes?? cuz u cant really find a universally compatible cooling pads with your model. what a useless video easy solution i did is get some alkaline base aircon foamer cleaner spray it, leave for 5-6mins, watch dust,dirt,calcium build up melts and fall off!! then rinse with water or high pressure washer. done :DD

So basically Central Air is one unit projecting cool air into existing ductwork. Mini Split is like having a team of mini ACs without a compressor being fed by a central unit that controls all of the compression for the system. Instead of air through ducts, the central unit's compressor cycles coolant through supply lines to the working units and back to the compressor on an as needed basis instead of blasting the entire house. A/C units with a proxy compressor.
