These same people at the checkout, think “if they crowd you , the line will move faster” (with 3 customers in front of you) . My wife told me to clean the toilet, I pretended not hear and said “pardon “, she said “clean your ears out”, so I inserted a dishwasher tab in each ear, they got stuck, and I genuinely couldn’t hear anything she said after that.

I've been gardening for a few months now and I pop a dishwasher tablet into the potted soil; cleans every plant from root to petal! They're amazing. One of our friends has a small boat so a bunch of us get together once a week and dump the tablets in the ocean. Cleaning pollution is a breeze.

I learned in college, always keep the toilet bowl clean enough that if you have to stick your head in it, it doesn’t make you even sicker.
That is literally my benchmark for a clean toilet. :) Would I be ok to puke in here if needed? If no, it's not up to code. I don't even drink anymore as I don't like it, but it remains my benchmark for judging a toilet.
@@sunshineravens I was (too) drunk at a college party when I was younger and felt that pre-puke saliva so I ran to my friends bathroom, opened the lid, and saw one of the most foul toilet bowls I have ever laid eyes on. The appearance plus the smell invoked auto-hurl mode and I was off to the races puking into Satan's toilet. Hurled so hard that the toilet water splashed back a bit which made me puke even harder.
The next morning I woke up with an immense hangover and cleaned that toilet because you could tell it had not been cleaned since my buddy and his roommates moved in. I have toilet PTSD after that experience lol. If I get a slight whiff of "dirty toilet" my stomach turns like mad.
I didn’t hear a word she said, but the comments kept me in stitches.

Plain old white vinegar works just as well and is a lot cheaper than dishwasher tablets.
On top of that, plain white vinegar has multiple cleaning uses, unlike dishwasher tablets.
In fact, 90% of all your household cleaners can be replaced with white vinegar and baking soda.
Flushing after you do you business helps, too.
Plain white vinegar is 15% vinegar and 85% water, unless you buy the cheaper brand, then it is 7% vinegar and 93% water.
. Also vinegar is acetic acid. How do you neutralize an acid...use a base like baking soda=the fizzing is acid being converted into harmless WATER...as it kills the effectiveness of the weak, watered down acid. Learn basic chemistry. You would see this is true. Works on car battery posts when they get the white fuzzy look on the positive post. Neutralizing sulfuric acid. Carefully brush on some baking soda and hear the fizz as the acid is neutralized. Then rinse off with water. I use the water hose with a nozzle...and blast it as it is no different than driving in the rain at high speed. The battery is sealed with the caps. Your battery is nearing the end of its life when it is showing grey or white fuzzy stuff.
Toilet timer is a waste of money. Some people are constipated.
Tomato Fettuccini, that may be so but...I can't stand the "aroma" of vinegar. While baking soda is O.K. It takes for ever to clean with. My own solution is to clean up as I go. This way, there is nothing to scrub🙂

@@incanada83 You could always wear a covid mask during, and the odor dissipates within 5 min while removing other bad odors in the air with it. It's a disinfectant... dishwasher tabs are not. It costs pennies on the dollar to use, is 100% natural, won't poison anything if ingested or topically administered, and doesn't pollute the earth during manufacturing or poison the water table when poured down the drain.
No one likes the odor from vinegar, bleach, or Isopropyl alcohol, but these are 3 must-have cleaning staples. Their odors disappear rapidly, and they don't harm the environment. ...Not to mention they're very very inexpensive cleaning products.
But these giant corporations are doing their best to withhold that knowledge through the generations, of just how amazing, how pure, and how inexpensive these items have always been for cleaning, while they continue to brainwash the younger generations into "needing" their expensive, toxic, polluting chemicals to clean everything, via their disgusting greed for profit. No morals.

One of the best life hacks ever. We have been renting a house for 4 months and the oven was pretty dirty. Tried all the different cleaners and chemicals with elbow grease and it made a 5% difference. Used a dishwashing cube and the oven looked like new after 30 minutes.
We had some marks and build up on the induction stove top, so I thought what the heck, I'll try it there. A little light rubbing to make sure I didn't scratch the glass and Voila!! Clean and shiny stove top.

The works is the best thing for a toilet. Cleans it in no time. It comes in a liquid bottle or you can buy the tablets and break just a little piece off and you never have to clean your toilet. But the tablets don't smell that great. Magic eraser is the best thing for the finishing touch on glass. Removes the cloud and streaks like magic.

Dude, it's no different than wiping your ass! Just wash your hands thoroughly! Gloves are to protect hands from chemicals & becoming dry & chapped from exposure to water. That's why people wear them to hand wash dishes. What I find truly horrifying is the number of people, both guys and women, who use public toilets & walk out without washing their hands (with soap)! The public railings, touchpads, & door handles you touch every day are WAY more full of contagious germs than your own toilet! Get some perspective & quit clutching your pearls over things that aren't a threat. That junk "food" & fast food you eat & the chemicals in our air, soil, food, & water are giving you cancer, heart disease, lung diseases, stroke, & other diseases that are ACTUALLY killing you! For cleaning the toilet, I dumped water into the bowl, so that most of the water drained out of it. I then added hot water to the bowl that already had a dishwasher detergent tab melted into it. I then used a brush to clean the bowl and voilà! Clean, deodorized bowl. Thanks, Andrea!

I use Barkeeper's Friend to clean my toilet. Since it's acidic it's a little stronger than Ajax.

Pour in about a cup of vinegar..
Let sit a 1/2 hour
Then brush & flush

You can make your own using citric acid and sodium carbonate. Those two ingredients are primarily what is in dishwasher tablets. You can make more complex recipes by adding Boric Acid (the primary ingredient in Bar Keepers Friend) for instance. You can make this for a penny or two versus 15 cents for the commercial brand stuff. Adding a mix of citric acid with Hydrogen Peroxide will get your clothes cleaner and brighter than any bleach and its color safe.
Nope, that is WHY they have bleach. You can get color safe bleach too. Bleach is not an acid. H2O2(Hydrogen peroxide) is like 5% and the rest is water. It is good to disinfect cuts...if the solution on the cut fizzes then that is killing infection. Dry off with clean unused toilet tissue and bandage over. You heal faster. No Gangrene. or pus. You can also brush your teeth with H2O2. I won't. The skull & crossbones mean something.
. Note citric acid is a lemon or orange. Sodium bicarbonate exists(baking soda) One neutralizes ACID taking away the acid out of it. Ever hear of Tums or Alka Selzer. Your stomach is full of acid and gives you on occasion heartburn. Usually from spicy food.

Your a genious! I use dishwasher tablets to clean the inside of my stainless steel coffee pot. You don't even have to scrub it out! I think I'm going to drop a tablet inside the toilet tank and see how that cleans. Dirty water tank makes a dirty toilet faster. Thanks for the hacks!

At the store they literally have stuff to clean the toilet and oven that are cheaper and work better.
Anything with caustic soda and no scrubbing would be needed. Be careful though or you could burn yourself.
Just use a foamy spray and let it sit.
Then come back and wipe it off.
But some countries the products on offer are not that good.
However dish washer tabs may be very cheap in some countries, or you may have picked up some dish washer tabs by mistake sitting doing nothing.
Some pound shops or dollar stores may have these tabs not every country has these at high prices.
'The Works' is what I've used that seems to work good.
I'm a guy & don't really care that my shitter is pristine etc all the time but that stuff works great.

Thanks for this amazing Life Hack... My dishwasher has been broken for some time now. I would have NEVER imagined and thought of dropping a Dishwasher Tablet inside my Toilet Bowl and washing the dishes and silverware in there. Additionally I am so glad you showed us how to then use the rinse cycle by pushing that lever along side the Toilet. QUESTION: How did you come about ever discovering that wash cycle lever and was the filming of your video the first time?
Also: Why the Gloves...? I've been told that with Palmolive Dish Detergent that it was Gentle on your hands, are you saying that the Dishwasher Tablets are not so kind.

Every time I buy dishwasher tabs I think gd, these things are way too expensive and we go through them way too quickly. Meanwhile, bleach is quite cheap so I think I’ll continue using bleach in my toilets and save the dishwasher pods for the dishes. 😂 it also helps that I give my toilets a quick daily swish with the toilet brush so they’re never really dirty enough to even need chemicals. Work smarter. 🤷♀️

Have you tried flushing the toilet? Looks like most of the dirt would go away with flushing, given how much is moved just by brush and water. If not, it would be helpful to see how much cleaner it would get by the tablet after you gave it your best shot with the brush and a flush. There is no reason to believe the tablet does anything at all. Give us a reason.
It also makes me question all of your other tips. Why use the special methods if it could get just as clean without special gear or solutions? We need a baseline.

I have found that certain sponge type aquarium glass cleaners make great toilet cleaners. The bend of the handle and the shape of the sponge is great for getting into all areas of the entire bowl.

That toilet was already pre-cleaned. She just sprinkled funky stuff on it so we'd all be amazed at how great this hack is.

Wow! Such cool info.... I use the Poop Knife in my bathroom for all KINDS of stuff, too. Opening potato salad containers, pushing back cuticles, and wait till you try it with making PBJ's!

I find that taking two tablets a day with my morning coffee helps me keep my pee nice and fresh for when I use the toilet and also if I squat slightly I find I can get it under and up the rim for extra cleanliness. Thanks Andrea

I Wonder if applying surfboard wax on toilets that have the water calcification ring problem would prevent the ring from forming or would the wax just discolor and make cleaning more of a chore

Ok, first of all it is quite adorable that you have all these ways to make cleaning the toilet "fun!" But your toilet looks like someone in your household has a bad stomach upset, probably your husband if he spends as much time in there as you say. Now I'm no doctor but I suspect this stomach upset could well be caused by you using cutlery to clean the toilet with! :-)

I used these tips, and now my toilet is so clean I CAN MAKE POTATO LEAK SOUP! I just use my special Instantpot air fryer lid top, add my veggies, temporarily bolt it to the toilet seat and set and forget it! Three days later, I have amazing potato leak (see what I did there?) soup!

The crayon on the wall comes off easier with a magic eraser
...or Formula 409 used with a soft, damp cloth. As a rule, Formula 409 doesn’t take any paint away with the crayon mark.

Most impressive to me is that you can hand hold your camera while cleaning stuff.
I tried it, but dissolved it in very hot water and made a foam/paste with it and poured it directly on the toilet brush and used it like you would body soap on a loofa; it worked great.
I use these tablets to clean my dishwasher. It’s really great, will use it again in the future!

Most people clean their microwaves by leaving a small bowl of water in for a couple of minutes then when it's all wet inside after another few minutes everything just wipes off. Don't touch the bowl though, use one preferably that has handles.😎

It works so well to clean the microwave. Just wipe it out after the steam has hit it.
And make sure to put your cutlery in there as well.

@@CC-mr5xq I always use a cheap plastic bowl (it doesn't get hot), water and a little vinegar. Even stuff that gets stuck on the walls and the top, wipe right off. One of my favorite tips.
