Everyone in the quality control department at Rockstar needs to be fired. This history of mistakes, bugs, glitches, things that don't work as designed, etc etc is absolutely embarassing. "Unique" interiors? LOL. Working mirrors? LOL. Forced 1st person mode? LOL. Heists? LOL. Rumble strips? LOL. Liveries? LOL. It's constantly just one thing after another.

really , GTAV one of the most complex environment's ever created , Car's, aircraft, walking, bike's, in incredible detail. GTAV work's it's complete, the QA aside from some obvious Online issue's has generally been very good. Added to the fact the amount of free DLC. Think about the world RS created on previous Gen console, that shame's most 'next gen' game's still.
You obviously haven't played MCC if you think this game is messed up.
Rockstar actually aren't too clean under their belt when it comes to GTA Online. Look at how overpriced some things are, for example.
Colours need to be re-bought every time you want them on a vehicle, upgrades cost 250K per maxed top-tier car, missions don't pay near enough, nor do other jobs, and Rockstar is patching those money glitches like mad. All because they want us to buy Shark Cards that cost bloody more than the game itself. Also, remember how those who pre-ordered GTAV on next-gen were supposed to get 1$ for online? Yeah, most people I know got around 500-800K.
Now, I'm not hating on the game. I loved GTA V's story, and online is fun too, but Rockstar's money-grubbing is scarily reminiscent of EA.

If the game mantains the same file structure like in previous Gta games. Im pretty sure that by accident someone typed a negative value By accident. Like -20 intead of 20. Ive been modding gta games since gta3 this happens ,small simbol will alter the entire telemetry of the car.
With it having the opposite effect that's certainly very possible.

This may be untestable, but has been a question since I started GTA. If your destination is about 1 mile away, and you're in a blista or something at top speed, and you see a dominator or something on the side of the road. Is it faster to stop the car, and get in the dominator, or keep going with your momentum?

TheOdd1000 I cant get in any lobbies at the moment. next gen gta 5 online is kinda broken at the moment, so for me no point in taking it off. I will wait for the patch.
Now that's a nice finding, and hopefuly they will fix it soon.
Being a software developer myself, I have mixed feelings regarding this. On one side, R* is said to have near-impossible release dates and a super tough management, and that employees are forced to do tons of unpaid overtime, so we have unhappy and exhausted devs here. Also, this kind of exploiting managers tend to underestimate the benefits of having the code well covered by automatic tests, all they see to test programming are dev hours "wasted" not producing game features. Add to all I've said that the "turbo should improve car power" behaviour seems not complicated to test automatically using, say, unit tests.
So the conclusion is that yes, it seems to me that GTA code testing isn't as good as it could be, and it seems a plausible explanation of why GTA updates usually break code that was correct before (this turbo bug, bald characters after completing a job, the Z-Type nerf, etc). This is just speculation, of course.
On the other side I don't think we should be questioning who/how is testing the game just because it turns out that one element of the millions GTA has is malfunctioning. Bugs do happen in software, and for a laaaarge number of reasons. This one in particular seems to me it is the product of a silly mistake rather than a flagrant negligence. Considering how huge the game is, I think the people at R* are really talented professionals, despite them releasing software with bugs like this one.
Nice comment. I agree that it's hard to criticise a small issue in such a huge game - my comment was more in jest. Still raises issues of how such a fundamental mistake could be make though

Awesome work in rooting out the bug in the Turbo "upgrade". I'll send an email to Rockstar's GTAOnline feedback box. Hopefully they will address and fix the issue soon.
I mentioned this on a comment your previous video, but for a future "Fact Finding Video" idea I'd love to some initial testing and comparisons of the newer cars (Dukes, Stallion and Blista Compact) compared against the top cars of their class. (Minus the turbo upgrade of course, at least until Rockstar addresses the bug).

This has to be a bug as you said, and I will like for you to do challenges, and car meet ups with the crew which is just going out on sports cars around the city and doing drag racing and making stops in the gas stations around LS. I appreciate what you do broughy, so thanks for making the laugh find its place lol & the enjoyment pass by. Keep up the good work men ;}

Great job Broughy, hope they fix this soon :). Been testing bikes thoroughly myself, using the same methodology as this video. Motorbikes also handle exactly the same as last gen, until you add turbo. This is the same across all types of vehicles which can be customised at Los Santos Customs.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOW I expected it to be because of one of the mods that the cars were slower but I thought that it would be that one of them were just not doing anything. The fact that it is making the cars slower is absolutely unacceptable. Just some quick math here if you take the turbo off all 20 of your cars and then have to replace it at a later date that would be roughly $1,000,000(assuming all turbos are $50K) wasted that is 100% R*'s fault. Unbelievable

See, this is why Broughy is the man. Great informative video. What an embarrassing bug. I'm kind of torn on just not racing until they fix this, or remove all my turbos and hope R* compensates (lol) me.
Hey broughy. Awesome video great work on all the testing in keeping with the theme of buggy upgrades I've noticed that the widow tint are Alittle messed up especially the last one pure black if I remember correctly. When it was first released it totally blacked out the widows you could not see through it now its seems the second to last tint is darker than the last one. I know its not a huge deal, probably not even enough to make a proper video about it but I thought bringing it to your attention would be good. Hope you check it out at the least.keep up the great work
Yeah I noticed, it's been like that for a while. Next gen has pure black remove completely too so they much have been having issues with it.

Awesome job. I'm glad it's this way. They'll surely fix it and thing will go back to normal. That's quite a bit better than having to cope with slower cars, I'm sure.
I can't tell you how relieved I was when I tested it and found it to be same on new gen vs old gen (apart from turbo). Was a bit deflated after the first vid in this series!

Great findings! Annoying bug but now many of us will have advantages in races that many others aren't aware of! Naturally you'd think a turbo would make the car faster so this is (in a weirdly good way) an easy trick to have an advantage in races.
I already made a ticket a few days ago, and sent a updated ticket about this video and mentioned u and gun1t123.

I tested the car again and yeah you are right. So I took the turbo off my car and now I made my money back thanks to you. With my zentorno it was a 1.5 sec difference between having turbo and without turbo. The car sounds better too with the turbo out of the car. It costs between 3,000 to 5,000 bucks to remove turbo. But I only did it for the super cars.

Hopefully they fix this in the next update. Getting my Xbox one in a week. Glad it's just a bug and not completely capped speeds, all of your hard work over the past months will still be solid once turbo is fixed. Good video!

I had a feeling it was a bug but it didn't come to mind. Good detective skills Broughy private eye is on the case. Of all things to make the car go slower it was the turbo upgrade lol just wow good looking out Broughy you the man.

Thank you! Removing all the turbo from my cars, now. It might be the cause of the change in the physic engine, it might be fixed later when rockstar release the patch.
Yeah hopefully it will be fixed soon. Remember that it will cost a lot to get turbos back on so maybe only remove them from those you think you'll use a lot before it's fixed.
***** I think once you bought the upgrade parts, it would be carried with the cars even you restore your car to the stock parts. You don't need to pay again if you want to put the parts back on the car.

Unfortunately not. As soon as you leave los santos customs and go back in you'll have to pay again to get the turbo on.

Would be interesting to do a comparison on understeer/oversteer in new gen as well. I've heard many comments that it seems somewhat reduced in most cars, both ways. And kind of feel the same way myself. It could just be a result of turbos, but I ran a few laps in a stock Rapid GT as well and it didn't feel as massively understeery as it was in Old Gen. (Hence why I used the Rapid GT) Maybe by making a quick slalom course on the same straight under Fort Zancudo it would be possible to test the steering ability of the cars? Idk...

An idea for investigation: If the way you land your car after being airborn effect the speed. if its a rear wheel drive car, will it get a boost landing on the rear wheels compared to all four? I do believe this is true for motorbikes at least. if you land in a wheelie, you get a significant speed boost.

The speedo is extremely inacurate.
From 0-80 mph its perfectly normal, but after that its total nonsense.
155mph is not the top speed of Entity XF.
Holy shit i raced a non turbo fully tuned turismo against a turbo tuned zentorno and won 3/3 drag races!
anthr thing is that the darkst window tint isnt the darkest anymore. the limo one is actually darker now and this has been like this since 1.17 and they havent fixed it

Its helped me a lot personally, do you know if you can still e-brake boost/downshift in next gen ?. Ive been trying with multiple cars but having very small success :/. it's both funny and sad that Rockstar hasn't fixed the Turbo Bug in weeks, the Weed Farm Bug in over a year, and yet the Stock Market bug gets fixed in under 2 weeks.
Hi Broughy do you know if this still happens? my commet is definately slower with the turbo. which means when you do your lap times with the sports series... your doing it with the slower comet
No this doesn't happen and was completely fixed for all cars
The plan is everyone takes the turbos off then a few dlc's down the line they make turbos quicker so everyone has to spend out on turbos.

either ways, its just ridiculous, the turbo had become into the equivalent of filling a car with sand bags.., i guess R* wasn't looking well enough when they where tweaking with their day one patch, but not everything can be found all the time, NXGen races must be a cake walk for those who know, hopefully R* can get things done, as they usually done, either ways have a wonderful GTA[V/O]Experience, ^-^,

Rockstar will fix this problem definatly as I had a problem with a car despawning out of my garage I posted it on the support forums and I had a reply within 20 minutes so they will respond to us as this is a major fault.
Rockstar support is awful. I lost all 10 of my upgraded cars suddenly, I gave a list of the cars I lost to them and after a month they just gave me 3 cars, one of which wasn't on the list. I lost a lot of progress in getting my cars how I wanted them

Could you check how many there are actually "Unique" interiors in cars, becouse I'm pretty sure that Vacca, Zentorno, Banshee, Jester, Turismo, Cheetah have same Interior! (Sorry for Sh!ty English)
They can easily fix this which is a good thing u saw a turbo power sheet type thing in the files of gta in a update file
Someone done goofed at R*. They probably added a wrong code and did a decrease instead of an increase by a set % for the Turbo upgrades. I'm sure the next patch will fix it.
