good video but there must be another factor, because driving off road lowers your engine power.
you can easily test it with trevors bodhi which has a "off road grip loss" of 0. the engine does sound stressed on higher speeds. once you glide back on asphalt you can hear and feel the acceleration
WOW! i have offroad tires on my kuruma and always jokingly tell my freind that makes it better than his [insert car here] for offroading. turns out, im right for the wrong reasons!

Some of the 'Off Road Grip' factors I honestly think should be increased. It doesn't seem fair that supercars are the dominant factors off-road, as necessary as it is, it should be quicker to keep them on the road. I'd want most of the Supercars to have a value of maybe 1.5, and same for a lot of the sports class. I'd definetely want a high value for the Race Bicycles as it's several levels of bullshit they're faster than the Scorcher off-road. But thanks for the video, opened my eyes to a few things.

Grant Gilmore they will still remain one of the best offroad vehicles because of their suspention and ground clearence

Broughy, you know, to my mind you are the best CZcamsr that I've ever seen. Firstly, it doesn't seems like you're doing this for money - as you mentioned, you don't even get the minimal wage for uploading these videos. Secondly, you share your knowledge with us, which is really helpful. You not only have the video materials, but you also know how to systematize all that information. Your racing school is very helpful for anyone who would like to improve their driving abilities. And you always explain the facts you've found out. What's more, your work isn't done here - you've created that beautiful spreadsheet, even though you obviously don't get any paid views for that. Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you for uploading such useful and informative videos!

Heres some facts i found out myself:
1. 9F Cabrio has no engine (front/rear).
2. The left tires of all cars is pointing the wrong way, can easily be seen by tall cars.
3. Some cars have switched names with spoilers (Rapid GT + Rapid Gt convertable).
Theres cars with switched names with exhaust too, but forgot witch one.
4. Elegy RH8 is not OP, it has not High top speed and shitty brakes, like really shitty brakes.
5. The slow family car "Stratum" has a Titanium tuner exhaust as stock.... Becouse R32 GTR
6. Broughy's real name is Don, not Adam #JustHatin'
You're wrong on 4. Elegy is OP. The rest I'm willing to accept. Except perhaps 6 ;p

Cool to see this series back! I don't think you need to test the vehicles on a off road track either. This does the job well!
I wish super cars were hurt more off-road. Like if their traction just went to garbage off-road or something. I want "off-road" vehicles to be the fastest vehicles in off-road racing. Maybe hurt some of the sports cars as well but also maybe have some sports/coupes/compacts improve on an off-road track and have them be almost like rally cars.
I just want a rally car class really haha

The Baller's dominance offroad is severely understated. The Huntley will get demolished offroad to the point its not worth testing because the Baller is vastly better. Might aswell walk if you are going to use Huntley VS Ballers offroad.
I always refused to believe that the Kurama was better then Sultan for Rally races, guess I was wrong lol

Btw, Broughy, is racing in rain condition exactly the same as normal sunny condition or it's affected by some values in the game as we see in off-road?

Can you do a fact finding about how rain affects the cars' traction? I think it'd be interesting to see if there are actual stats to back up the 9F's dominance in the rain for instance.

i was wondering if this traction loss stat is what affects vehicle performance in rain/snow or is it some other stat on the spreadsheet? its generally agreed upon that the 9F is excellent in rain and snow sports car races but the traction loss is a 1 for it.
i also wasn't aware of many of these vehicles were so good off road. i'll need to take my baller LE for a drive around lucky jim's for sure! thanks for all your hard work!
I believe rain and snow is somewhat different. More investigation is needed :)

Yeah, I already said lots of times Kuruma was good for Off-Road, he is probably the best car in the game, he is an awesome off-road car, awesome at drifting, he have a good top-speed, he is armored, he can jump walls if you crash the spoiler on the wall, so you cant get stuck in a house with a Kuruma and you can use his spoiler to hit people's head, he is the best car at all
Well...that explains why my Jester does not work well offroad.

I Find that the Baller to be top heavy when racing off road. You can turn a huntly sharper into a corner and carry more speed through it. With a baller it is far easier to tip it over

So when it snows in GTA online do all the surfaces change to "offroad" or does snow have a separate line of code meaning that the effect snow has would stack with that of a normal offroad surface?
I believe rain and snow are separate in that respect.
If there were a way to get snow back in GTA Online, it would be interesting to see how the off-road cars would behave on your track when it's covered in snow, and compare the times to your regular testing. Maybe the Bifta or even the Brawler would beat the Sanchez? I'm almost ceirtain the Kuruma would, at least.
I'm not sure this traction loss stat has anything to do with performance in rain/snow. More investigation is needed.

Weird that the Technical has a lower off-road multiplier than the Rebel, I'd have thought they'd be the same

What is faster? Hakuchou off-road on wheelie or Hakuchou on proper road leaning forward?
What about rain? They say the 9F is best on wet tracks but it has a traction loss factor of 1 (like most of the other sports), so which code determines the grip in the rain?
That's something to be explored further in the future.
But what about the speed? I remember back on last gen, BV5, the track was Sunabozu. I had to get a Massacro just because of that track, simply because it was so dominant on the sand section. It was losing a lot less speed there than the Elegy. So what's up with that?
Speed is reduced and I believe it's caused by the same factor, but the massacro has a much higher engine power so overcome it. Therefore when traction is equalised somewhat the massacro in some situations becomes the better option.
I was wondering about this recently, posted it in another video a while back, but i still wonder if the suspension really effects anything in a noticeable way. It wouldn't change grip or slowdown and stuff, but would change how your car can get across rough or bouncy dirt. I'd figure that the longer straight near the airfield Trevor takes over, near the train tracks would be a good place to test. Have you put any thought into that?

Hmmm, I kinda see now, it's doesn't explain how I out drove a Sanchez going up hill in a Sandking SWB, but whatever, physics is physics.

Unsure. Hard to really do any testing on that.
In the new update, did Grand Theft Auto skimp off the traction control ? I only assume this because all of the cars seem to have a big decrease in traction

in races with the slipstream on, what happens to a car's stats? does it magically increase engine power, top speed etc or does it actually reduce drag like in the real world racing? i slipstreamed in a Adder and getting a good feel of its top speed id know when its reached but flying past another Adder at top speed? on some highway races i shake and bake with some randos to the end note these races only had slipstream on and catchup off

+Broughy1322 do you think there's a way to measure the highest top speed possible on land? like have a car start in last and have one long line cars ahead giving a slipstream. then move up car to car while trying to calculate the speed. I've tried before and failed miserably

The value for all coupes is the same, 1, does that mean that for example top speed for all could decrease 1 mph? or is it like a percentage?
It's a percentage, so 1 equates to some level of speed loss, and 0.5 equates to half as much as that.

No they don't.
i'm sort of puzzled why you didn't touch on the AWD aspect of things. i always thought it had an impact on off road performance.
In so far as AWD being dominant in the game in general yes, but there's nothing really special about it when taken off road. The massacro for example is a very quick car off road and is RWD
9:45 Broughy are you sure most of the sports cars have a value of 1? I have noticed the Massacro RC leaves Elegies in the dust off road and can even rival Kurumas.
+Ishan826 Don't know if it makes alot of sense but i have a feeling that it's a combination of the ridiculous engine power the massacro has and its weight not causing it to bounce around on the bumpy offroad as much as a Jester for example wich is a really light car and quite hard to control offroad.

As I said there are plenty of other variables but as mentioned above engine power has something to do with it. Traction loss will be a percentage of the total traction, basically bringing the elegy closer to the massacro in that respect (massacro starts with lower traction so technically loses less). The elegy gains all it's time from traction around the corners and is left for dust in terms of straight line speed by massacros even on road. Translate that to the lower grip dirt and the massacro certainly fares well with it's high engine power. The elegy is still up there though depending on the track because of AWD. It all depends on the track layout frankly.

Not really. Just depends on the circuit. If it's tight and technical awd will still be king.

Why does the Massacro and Massacro Racecar say 1 for offroad traction loss? When testing, it clearly keeps more of its original speed than the other sports cars, except for the Kuruma.
It has a lot of engine power so the speed loss appears to not be as much, but it still loses the same speed as others. Massacro is quicker than most on tarmac so it's going to be the same off road too
+Broughy1322 I did some further testing myself. I was basing it off of what a friend told me, and he has become a prime example of what you said in your "Should you buy the 811?" video. He couldn't use the traction potential of the 2 cars. Plus I found it easy to get tricked. the Massacra feels like it is on rails with how smooth it is over bumps, especially with off-road tires, but it doesn't actually have much traction offroad.

I got banned last night for one week because idiots kept reporting me for "modding." Reason? They where all using jesters and massacros on a dirt track while i used the karuma. Needless to say I won easily. Kind of wish all of them had seen this video :/

Its so freaking funny, in GTA 5, an OSIRIS or BUGHATTI (WHatever the ingame version is), is better t off road than an 4x4 off road truck. lol
