Darth Vader - the part of Anakin Skywalker that once took control of him and in the end let go.
He became a Jedi, just like his son Luke, who saved him and again returned him to his true path.
An incredible character and one of the best villains in cineamtic history!

@Rafał Tomasiak he's pretty high up there on the list of best portrayed villains. So talented.
Anakin is the most beautifully, deep and complex character in all of star wars. Born without a father, poor, a slave with no hope for the future, taken from his mother, his mother taken from him, fell into forbidden love, feared loss again, fell to darkness, lost his title and gained a new one, destroyed the order he fought for his whole life, lost his wife, lost his friends, lost his children, lost his body and became trapped in a suit which made him suffer constantly and was the fuel for his hatred, comitted terrible acts, met his son and daughter years later and his heart was again moved and awoken, defeated his wicked master who fooled him and saved his son and was redeemed. Beautiful. No one can tell me there is a better star wars character.
Anakin's story is fundamentally about what it means to be human. Anakin's redemption story resonates because it tells us all something we desperately want to believe - that no matter what we've done, it's never too late to turn back. It's never too late to learn from your mistakes. It's never too late to stand up, dust yourself off, and turn around. You are never too far gone to change. Vader tells Luke earlier, "It's too late for me, son", yet his last words were "You were right about me. Tell your sister, you were right..." It's only too late to change if you have convinced yourself of that very fact.
Personally, as a Christian, I relate Anakin's redemption to the idea that none of us are too far gone to be beyond God's forgiveness. We're all flawed, but we aren't lost if we turn and accept God's pardon through Jesus.
The prequels made the original trilogy better.

The first 6 episodes are a masterpiece, I don't care what anyone says. The Story of Star Wars is very well written. A story that is able to make you feel something has done its job perfectly and this has done exactly that.
Plus it's relatable in the sense that everyone has a "dark side" and a "light side" to their personality. This was actually a core principle of self-actualization in Hinduism. There's also a lot of Japanese cultural influence in the Star Wars Trilogy (a master and an apprentice, the fact they use swords resembling a samurai, the nonsensical hubris regarding the traditions the Jedi thought were "honorable" that end up making them over-confident)

This comment makes it hurt so much more. It really shows how much someone will do to save the ones they love. It’s a galaxy far far away, but this comment is real life
I'd argue that doing it for your family IS selfish. It was his attachment that was the problem - he could never let go! His attachment is a selfish thing. He and Padme clung to each other during the war for mutual support, using each other. He was witnessing losing Luke just like he lost Padme and stepped in to stop it. Right through his entire life, he couldn't let go of his attachments.
In the very end, he fulfilled the prophecy. He brought balance to The Force and redeemed himself. Truly an epic character

The fact is that the Jedi failed Anakin.
I've thought about it every which way and while he made the choices he made and wore them, he was failed by a shortsighted and entrenched Jedi council that was more afraid of losing its legitimacy in the republic than doing the right thing. This is why church and state are separated. The Jedi were never meant to be warriors as Anakin said. They're keepers of the peace and the Clone Wars forcing the Jedi into the role of Commanders and Generals was ultimately what cost the Jedi and the republic its soul.
Ultimately the very thing that Anakin gave all of his youth and really his whole life to protect, turned against and feared him. They were happy for him to be a useful tool, but feared what he represented within the Jedi as a paradigm shift.

well its has tragedy in it, but in the end, its a happy ending... but vader life is one big tragedy :(
@@arentak2773 yea, it was a fat almost bald guy
They made the perfect choice changing the old Anakin force ghost to Hayden’s Anakin
Anakin's Story is by far the best written story of all time for ME.
Anakin/darth Vader is the greatest character of all time. Greater than Jesus.
Wow... I'm lost for words. This was beyond incredible! One of the best Anakin/Vader tributes I've seen!!!
Thank you so much mate!
Same
Absolutely!
Ikr
Its so good
Oh my god when Anakin said "It's all Obi-Wan's fault" and it showed Palpatine smiling that shit gave me instant chills. The satisfaction of his plan all working all played out in that one smile
“Learn to know the dark side of the force, and You will be able to save your wife from certain death...”
@@deputyodeath.6316 and it fell apart once his son came into the middle of it Anakin loyalty for his family was always stronger then that of palpatine
What a great villain Palpatine was
This is the best Darth Vader edit I've seen . Thank you for portraying him in the best possible way .
6:41 something crazy and deep always happens with this exact view from a Star Destroyer. Even Ahsoka feeling Anakin's fall to the dark side from this very view. Admiral Versio realising his loss - in battle and in family, etc.
Such a great edit. For years, Lucas stated that Episodes 1-6 were the entire saga, that 'it begins and ends with Anakin'. But nobody would accept this. It turns out Lucas was 100% right. He must feel as redeemed as Anakin (and regretful that he sold the property).
And then Disney thought it would be a good idea to trash George’s ideas and to create another trilogy that defeats the purpose of Anakin (The entirety of the first 6 movies)
Lucas sell the francise to Disney by having in mind the fans happyness. But Disney throw to the junk his idea for the next movies...
The Heir to the Empire books were the actual continuation but not counting them yes it ended with the emperor falling down the death star core.
He planned on making another three and when he sold to Disney it was with a deal his outline would be followed
His outline was not followed at all though
Brilliant, wonderfully done!
Thank you so much! It's a pleasure to see you here!
Can't wait for your Ben Solo tribute!
HFP thank you for bringing my most loved memories of star wars and thanks for putting them in the spotlight to make a tribute
Excellent work, you each have done
@@crusade5886 pls don't do that cover anyone in the prequels or original trilogy but not kylo ren

Star wars 1-3 was always underrated
What a masterpiece! Formidable collection of scenes. And the soundtrack is just perfect... Thank you!
“Impressive most impressive” - Darth Vader
Better than anything Disney could come up with.

Agree but Rogue One was good tho
@Ninja Kuma Reacts Cluelessly cry harder, delusional loser man-child
This just makes me so sad for Anakin. So much wasnt his fault😢
I’m balling my eyes out everytime I see this
Padmé's last words:
*"There's still good in him."*
Anakin's last words:
*"You were right."*
It's like poetry. It rhymes.
But it... It doesn't rhyme...?

Love that connection, hate that phrase. Way overused.
Why am I crying? I must’ve gotten some sand in my eye. I don’t like sand. It’s all coarse, and rough, and irritating. And it gets everywhere!

I was crying. Now im crying and laughing

I like it rough too 😉
I love Maz’s line “the light it’s always been there” at 6:39
For some reason I can relate…I’d become Vader too.
What I like about this one, is you didn't use the most iconic scenes, you used some sure, but you used the minor ones to highlight the greater tragedy. Well done :)
Exactly this. We know all the scenes but because of that it feels so authentic again.
Superior tribute, this may be
@@o01chris10o is* master....is
Most iconic scene is him just breathing lol.
Didn’t expect to see you here lmao
"So love has blinded you?"
Even though its a meme at this point it still hits hard knowing how true this statement is
Why does Padme say that.. like I understand the significance of this line in the later story, but in that scene why does Padme say it?
@@Ami_Mehta I think she was teasing Anakin for being cheesy with her
@@Ami_Mehta shes making fun of him, the jedi were taught not to be blinded by feelings of love and attachment and shes acting surprised about it as a joke
@@Ami_Mehta because he says she’s “so beautiful” then ends up saying “it’s because I’m so in love with you” so her asking if love has blinded him is asking if he really thinks she’s beautiful or it’s just bc he loves her. It also obviously alludes to the being blinded by love and turning to the dark side thing
You can tell when Dave prowse is in the suit , his walk presence is massive RIP Dave prowse
I loved how you used ‘the force is with me and I’m one with the force’ one of my favourite lines in any Star Wars film!
