Helped a bit! I find that if I take the plastic button out I can press directly on the rubber button a little hard and that also works!

Definitely underrated video. I suspect replacing the case (not including chip/board inside) which are very cheap (mine is $7 before tax/ reshipping) would be a similar fix resulting in new buttons and case to boot, correct? In any case, this video results in a very quick, cheap fix and confirms that the chip or battery are not the issues.

I tried it and it worked for a little while but by pushing it down it wore out again. Maybe I need to build it up with multiple pieces of aluminum foil?
I've never done that so I can't say that it would work. For some fobs you are able to buy a new button pad and case. If you give us a call we can look it up for you to see if that is an option. 402-671-5100

Any aluminum foil will work.
