    Sean Mark Dyche is an English professional football manager and former player who is the new manager of Premier League club Everton.
    During his playing career, Dyche played as a centre-back, making his professional debut in 1990 and representing Chesterfield - whom he captained and scored for in an FA Cup semi-final. Other teams he has played for include Bristol City, Luton Town, Millwall, Watford and Northampton Town. He was promoted with three of his six clubs. After retiring as a player in 2007, he coached at Watford, including a stint as manager between June 2011 and July 2012.
    After leaving Watford, Dyche signed for Burnley in October 2012. During his time there Dyche guided the club to two promotions to the Premier League in three seasons, the latter following relegation back to the Championship at the end of 2014-15.
    Following the relegation of AFC Bournemouth and their manager Eddie Howe at the end of the 2019-20 season, Dyche became the longest-serving manager in the Premier League. He was dismissed by Burnley in April 2022 after a tough season.
    Dyche joined Everton in January 2023.

      @MrRondonmon Před rokem +2

      That's dumb as hell, there are like 7 teams within what 3 or 4 points at the bottom, so 6 wins out of 19 should get a team to safety. Everton have not actually played bad against the better teams in the last 10 games last year and 19 games this year. A 1-0 loss to Man City (pen should have been draw) last year and a draw this year. Everton beat both Man U and Chelsea in the last 10 games last year, and Newcastle. They lost to Chelsea and Man U by 1 this year. So, its not the talent level per se, Ancelloti had this team on 59 points, then they appointed Benitez (stupid) followed by Lamps, so there has been no leadership at the club in two years. Townsend and Garner have been out injured all year, I think Dyche is going to push them and lead them, men at war need to e led. Frank just was not that guy, hes more a friend type on the sideline.
      Everton will finish top 14 and I see Southampton, Bournmouth and either Wolves or Nottingham going down.

    Definitely the right choice, Sean Dyche will get the players working harder for the ball and demand 100% effort. Whether that will be enough to keep Everton in the Premier League remains to be seen, but the defence should be rock solid and hopefully a bit of clinical finishing will start them on a winning run, nothing wrong with 1-0 wins. If only Dyche had been ready for the Everton job when Lampard was brought in. Frank's a good guy, but I don't believe he has the character to be a really successful manager. Psychology is key, and proclaiming we would be in a relegation battle before the season even got going was a big mistake, a 'self fulfilling prophecy'. Unfortunately a small pocket of supporters have shown the club up lately, which I believe to be the main reason why one player left, and no others were tempted to join before the transfer window closed. Time to get behind the manager, and the team. #UTFT

      @@gazelliott2414 slightly snobbish opinion. It’s effective in it own way, has served and will serve certain clubs who don’t have the tools rewired for other styles.
      I guess I am lucky to be able to appreciate something for what it is without having to slight it ;)

    The first thing he will make sure is that he gets Everton relegated.. the truth.

    Dyche won't last long at Everton because he refuses to change his negative approach to playing football. Of The the field he embraces all the new ideas but on the field he appears to cling to the old ways are best. In fact if he went back to the 60s and 70s and watched how Burnley played then those old ways are similar to how Vinny Kompany is playing now with goalscoring wingers at Burnley only the pitches and goalkeepers are far better.playing out from the back is a fad and needs refining which the best teams are doing now. Dyche on the pitch is a dinosaur and his tactics are founded in the stone age and unless he changes he will become unemployable in the top echelons of football.

    I would really love Everton to get relegated because their fans are nasty individuals! 💀
