Would honestly love to see a tactical breakdown like this on Will Still. Youngest manager in Ligue 1 and currently smashing it with Reims. Most importantly he got into management after playing FM. Absolute lad!

This the guy without the coaching badges ? Apparently they are being fined per game he's in charge but because he's on a 10 game unbeaten run they are just paying the fine đ ? Either that or someone told me a hell of a story !
@@jayjolley9258 yeah that's true hahaha, mad init
@@jakemilligan6251 thanks for the confirmation đ€Ł this is the best thing in football , all the football manager players in the world banging a quick cv together because why not give it a go !
Exactly what I want to do myself
Most consistent CZcamsr around
James, anyone would think your a Toffee with all the Everton videos recently :D Been loving your take on what's been going on/wrong at my club and your ideas and solutions, Great content!
I'm really excited about this appointment. Dyche has shown a great ability to adapt to the players he has available, and maximise their ability. Plus, I want to see how he adapts to having more money available and being able to get more accomplished players. How he adapts his style of play to accommodate these types of players like he did with Trippier is going to be fun
One downfall in your thinking, is that Everton one have money and two have better players. Sadly they are a championship side at best. Even then, they would still struggle. Itâs an ageing, slow squad, with no goals in it.
sean is underated manager, you are correct Ethan.
Dyche is an admirer of Demarai Gray. He tried to get him to Turf Moor on a couple of occasions. Iâve got a feeling Dwight might be benched to re-align his attitude
Been waiting for Townsend to return I love his crossing when he cuts in on his left
With Coady & Everton's midfield, feel like Dyche may surprise people with a 3-5-2 here. I know he tried experimenting with us at times on formation but we just didn't have the players. Don't think Everton have the wide players to really make a 4-4-2 work
Most motivating content over everton i heard in the last few months, thanks for that. :*
Could see demarai gray being used instead of maupay alongside DCL, in a sort of maxwell cornet role from last season, bit of pace on the break
Unless we buy some pace on the wing we canât afford Gray in the middle. I would play Iwobi alongside DCL. Can easily slot into the 10, and can control the ball and play a good pass. Also his âsoftâ pressing style will suit Dycheâs system as he just needs to channel the defenders into playing the passes we want instead of getting close and harassing them.
unreal breakdown lad
Ancelotti made Keane look very good as well tbf, think weâll sign a couple as well to possibly break in to that starting lineup. Great video as per
I need more manager tactical breakdowns from you James. This was class đ
Good analysis. Dyche was the best choice in the circumstances.
Oh to be a fly on the wall when he gives his first team talk!!!
Do you reckon we could do this analysis for more prem managers Jim? Especially with more use of the tactic board to show different aspects of each team
Bloody love a 4-4-2. Get it in the mixer!
I'm not totally sold on this appointment, but of course want him to succeed. I worry a little that being defensively solid is great, and important, and I'm not minimizing that at all here, but we've not conceeded that many goals. We can't draw our way to safety. The focus has to be affecting the attack where we are timid in attack and can't create chances, let alone score.
Our midfield lacks creativity and / or the confidence to take risks or a forward pass or taking on a player that will get us to good areas to make and score chances. I'm not opposed to 4-4-2 (regular or diamond) or 4-5-1/4-4-1-1 and grew up with Joe Royle and of course moyes, and so I know that it can be tough, combative, but with the right players (kanchelskis, limpar, speed, cahill, arteta, fellaini, pienaar (even osman, and his goal in against Larrissa is among my favorites), can be exciting and creative with the right player.
We may not yet have the right players, but the ones we have are better I do believe than what they did under Lampard. Getting a system to create chances for DCL and maupay or a late arriving onana has to be top priority, getting a bit more end product out of gray, who goes missing in games, mcneil and iwobi and he particularly should score more. We can't draw our way to safety, so for me (once the arsenal and Liverpool games are done) I'll be hoping to see signs that we create more chances, maybe score more than a goal in a game. If we do that we probably win.
After watching James for two years....I still don't know what a double pivot is, and at this point I'm too afraid to ask...
A double pivot is basically a fancy phrase to describe a midfield partnership đđ
That's crazy
They will need eight wins and a draw to guarantee staying up. It will be difficult. Even if they go down, he's the man to bring them back up again.
Thanks for your videos. Great to hear positive views on EFC. It's a beacon TBF.
Artem Dovbyk would be a great addition to Everton using the Gordon money and then loaning someone like Anthony Elanga or Marius Wolf on loan. Using James Garner purely for his set pieces could also be a key figure under Dyche.
âMcneil has shone at evertonâđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđ
Love this
great breakdown jimđ€
I'm a Burnley fan and my first thought was, well it'll be interesting to see how Dyche does with better players. Then you actually look at Everton's squad and oh dear, that team is really not very good.
Great video James! I saw Everton being linked to Onuachu today like you wanted from a previous video. Really want to see a DCL and Onuachu front 2 under Dyche!
Recently subscribed and loving your content Jim
Welcome!
So I like this break down and agree I would play gray just off DCL, for the simple fact we havenât got no pace on the break in that team and Gray can at least take it past a man, where McNeil hasnât really got that break away pace. Thanks for the video love it
I think onana would be good as a no 10 just infront of DCL in a 4411 abit like Fellaini was for moyes
Way to clumsy
I'm not sure I've seen that in him yet, but would be great if that can happen. I miss when we had midfielders that scored - how blessed we were with Cahill and Fellaini (and arteta, pienaar, Osman chipped in with a few as well)
The principles Dyche promotes are a lot more like Peps than most would believe.
Positionally strict in possession, high line and press, variation from the goalkeeper encouraged.
The main difference has always been the level of player. Iâm not saying I expect Dyche to produce an all out attacking tiki taka Everton but I do a higher level of player to respond to him better than most expect.
Same with Big Sam top manager, always lacked the players to play beautiful football.
Iâve been listening to his past interviews and Iâm intrigued to see how he can get this group of players churning. On the other hand, the manager merry go-round every season has sucked the enthusiasm out of me. Iâm honestly hoping that he can last at the job more than 12-18 months đ
I was going to suggest the Coaches' Voice video if you didn't mention it, it's a great channel
good call my guy
Mikel Arteta has notiâs on and clicked this video faster than ever because heâs shaking.
James flirting with coaches voice. cheeky. i like it.
2 up top no matter what. Shoot on sight get ball forward no excuses. Should be aiming for 20 shots a game. And lots of balls In the mixer.
Need a long throw specialist as well it will be wonderful to see
Think heâs going to go 4411 with gray, iwobi or another attacker in that number 10 role.
Hey Jim, hey everyone, hope youâre all doing well! Actually pretty happy with Dyche, I wasnât to begin with, I preferred Bielsa as I thought heâd be more exciting to watch, but now thinking about it, Dyche is the one who is most likely to keep us up. FOUR-FOUR-TWO forever! đ Only forwards đđđđ
As a Villa supporter I can tell you 4-4-2 is life. Unai Emery has been great with it here, and I think Dyche will use it to keep you up.
With Bielsa you would have been guaranteed to go down. Dyche gives you the best chance for survival.
@@areebsiddiqui758 yeah definitely agree, the Bielsa shout was only for that it would be better to watch but that really doesnât matter at the state weâre in! Ha
@@RenewedRS Yeah Iâve been impressed with Villa playing 442 and yeah, Iâm a lot more confident on staying up now so fingers crossed đ€đ»đ
Think it will be Gray over McNeil. I agree on Iwobi, think he will tuck in though rather than staying wide because he cannot cross.
Maybe I shouldnât ask butâŠwhere did the hammer go?
Iâm tired of CZcamsrs (Irish Guy) talking about how this appointment is not sexy or interesting as if a team with 3 wins in 20 games is looking to be sexy or exciting. Every Everton fan should be praising Dyche for actually taking on the challenge and trying to keep them afloat. 3 years down the road when he has managed to keep them up and hopefully the club can get rid of the massive amounts of dead weight in the squad, then we can start talking about interesting signings.
Every time we get a new manager itâs the same news âI think this manager is the oneâ probably going to end up in the championship
most poetic way to say âhoof it upâ
The problem is we havenât given him enough time to make transfers
Did my guy just say McNeil has âreally shoneâ ? đđ
As a Bluenose I hope you're right.
Would love to see gray up front
All iâm going to say is, Arsenal played some beautiful football playing 4-4-2. Burnley didnât have much technical quality, but as a formation it provides balance and can adapt depending on the situation.
At times Burnley would morph into a 4-3-3 in attack with the second striker occupying a wider position, this was effective when getting into europe.
Everton are doing badly for them.... but they're just 2 points off safety. All he has to do is be MARGINALLY better than Frank Lampard. Not the highest of bars.
We should have done this in November and sold Gordon at the bringing of the window. Then we could have brought players in even if we were just loans and free transfers. The big problem for us was definitely the special measures and lack of available funds due to ffp. I can see academy players bring used more as we gave no choice Mills price John kouyate welch. New season, Warrington, cannon onyango, and tyler will be in the squad, not sure with dobbin gibson and Astley another loan or sold with buy back. I think dyche will be good for everton as he won't stand for slacking and sacking players. I wish we got him in when we got Benitez or even silva as he 4-4-2/4-4-1-1 and will get the best out of our squad. I honestly don't know how anyone makes keane look he's the bad at defending. I always joke that he and mina should be played as auxiliary forwards as the haveca decent eye for goal, and with their height, they could hold up the as well as getting under the skin of the rivals defenders especially mina.
I think Yerry Mina will be better suited on the left, he has shown his long pass is just as accurate, and with his defensive skills possibly a more hermetic left side, I would not rule out Yerry over Coleman, let's hope he remains healthy for the rest of the season.
Yerry mina can't go 3 games without picking up a injury
Remain healthy for the rest of this video would be a result lad!
Sean dyche should use a back 5 formation
They should have appointed him before the World Cup and Everton would have been already saved. As it is I fear not even Dyche can save them although I do wish him well.
Everton vs Arsenal will be elite now.
Think itâs very unlikely we see a Coady line up next to Tark, Coady is exceptionally passive (arguably our worst player this season imo) I think a Keane revival or just playing Mina (by far our best CB) is much more likely
Also think itâs likely we see Dycheâs 4411 (from the 7th place season) with Iwobi in the Hedrick âdefensive 10â role. Would open up the right for McNeil, Gray, or Townsend.
SD : 11 men forming a wall on the goal line for 90 min
Great vid, sexy football is scoring goals and not conceding, don't care how it looks.
I still think itâs too late for him to keep us up. Nothing against him as a manger but he likely wonât benefit off the ânew manager bounceâ due to fixtures, which wonât lift the mood at goodison. Itâs also not looking like weâre going to sign anyone decent which we so desperately need. The club will be rotten till the board go
DCL is very unreliable due to his injuries and with Gordon leaving we have to sign players but we've left it until the end of the window and prices are rising
As a Forest fan, even if Dyche wasn't "one of our own" there is no team I would rather see stay up than Everton. But not at our expense. I hope (and frankly expect) that by the time we meet in 4 weeks it won't be a genuine relegation match. Good luck till then boys.
I'd love for a midfield 2 of Iwobi and Onana but sadly Iwobi is too weak defensively, he was brilliant under Lampard as a left 8 because the other 2 midfielders covered for him. Its not really a coincidence that as soon as our most creative player got moved out of position our form got even worse. I could see Dyche trying Iwobi as a 10 in a 4411 if a striker gets injured
You said McNeil has shone at Everton. Have you seen him play for us? I guess not, or you wouldn't have said that.
Turned it off when you said that McNeil has really shon at Everton
think iwobi would work well as a 10 off DCL
Wait? When has McNeil shone?
I was being sarcastic
@@JamesLawrenceAllcott ok FairPlay the shock of hearing it made me miss that lol
Itâs 4-4-1-1 he plays
McNeil has shone at everton? Must have missed that. Gray not in the side? Love it when people talk about my club that havent got a clue
He was being sarcastic about mcneil, I do agree though I'd have gray up top with DCL
4:50 did I just hear you say that McNiel has shone at Everton? He's the worst winger I've seen at Everton in a long time
Everton set up differently against Arsenal.
I feel bad for West Ham now đđ
4 4 F'n 2!
Dont think that Mcniel will play, he wasnt a fan of him at Burnley. Also doubt Iwobi would play out wide.
Who would you put right wing though now we sold Gordon, McNeil left, gray right?
Classic Dycheball win against current EPL leader Arsenal today - defend, defend, and then score on a set piece.
Ramsdale should have done better against that header, however.
Everton looking to stay up now with Dyche, the master of knowing how to do more with less.
It won't be the beautiful game, but he'll get results.
We had similar at Stoke years ago it was called Pulisball, effective but awful to watch.
Hasn't used 442 yet đ€Ł
Dyche vs Burnley next year, Box Office.
Presume you are being sarcastic? Under Vincent Kompany Burnley are actually a possession team who are also the highest scorers in the Championship. They are not the supposed " anti football" team they have been accused of being in the past when Dyche was the manager.
Still going down if they don't sign a few players today
I fear for Dyche if it transpires that there are no in-form goal scorers, and when the defence does give up a goal, all the nerves will resurface in both the team and in the stands. Can Everton stay up drawing the remaining games 0-0 ?
No, no drawing ourselves to safety. We need to get a tune out of the midfield. DCL has been isolated and feeding in scraps, though I'm not sure he's a great striker, we've seen less capable ones turn in a few goals when there are chances to be taken, so I hope by having someone with/near him to play off he can be more involved, and that the likes of iwobi, gray and McNeil can start making chances for him. If Dyche can get that going, we have a chance.
Saying Dyche was the only manager who made Keane look good is factually wrong. He played really well under Carlo, and had a nice spell under Marco Silva as well.
I rekon Moise Kean will look pretty good under him
demarai gray not playing????
The title of the video is a shithousary all thanks to goldbridgeđ€Łđ€Ł
First match 4:5:1 but not far off.
They need too big an average in points to get to 40 unless the other teams above collapse.
You didnât explain whether Dyche looks like stone cold
Rest in piece McNeil
Bro left burnley to be more attacking đ
I think Demari Gray would have better output than Maupay
Gueye's legs have gone.
Idrissa has been so poor since his first game back. hope he finds his form.....we need it!
So what youâre saying is Dyche is getting us Europe?
Interesting watch, however some glaring issues ... Iwobi was a stranger to the team each and every time he operated on the wing .. inviting him in to the middle has been his making and he effects games from a central roile in a way he simply couldn't out wide. McNiel has not shone in any respect for Everton ... all his best form was at Burnley ... from that perspective it is possible Dyche will get him humming again ...
McNeil has been brilliant? Which McNeil are you talking about? Certainly not the one at Everton.
McNeill has shone???
Have you watched Everton this season?
Sean Dyche will primarily setup Everton not to get beat and win points.
Feel bad for Sean Dyche tbf... Wouldn't blame him if he sacks it off after half a season
Relegated by Easter
McNeil has really shone? I've not noticed it
I was being sarcastic
@@JamesLawrenceAllcott went under my radar. Probably damaged from watching too much Everton
Dyche will start off conservative but will have to "graduate" as a more progressive coach next season to be in that midtable conversation
He has better players than at burnley so he will show he knows how to work with what hes got.
44 fuckin 11
Everton are saved! At least until next season.
