What is your favourite Arnie moment? 💪

The question is that since it must take millions of years to travel here, why would they then try and hide the fact they have been..makes no sense.

I have my career moment and my childhood memory moment - but i still can´t figure out my why. What those two moment have in common or say about me as a person. My career moment i just started my job working in health care, we were out driving me and my coworker when we got an alarm about an unconscious person. Quickly we got to her home, lucky the ambulance already arrived before us but there were several ambulances, relatives, people doing CPR and then there were me. That adrenaline rush, the focus, being in the moment saving lives, actually making a difference between life or death, thats my career moment. As of my childhood i remember being around 13 years old, im spending the day at the stables with my riding instructor who i really look up to and she asked me to ride one of the ponys, by myself. And so i did and it went great but having someone you look up to put enough trust in you to let you take such responsibility was really honoring. So what does that say about my why...?

Regarding the banks payouts of £billions on PLP - I used to work for one of the major banks back in the late 80s & 90s, and we all used to have sales targets to "sell" add-ons like PLPs on which our annual bonuses were based, and whilst my colleagues used to do very nicely from PLP, it was the one product I just couldn't sell, ever, not even once I think! And of course i was criticized and marked down for it, and my friends would ask me why i couldnt ever sell it, and I told them the honest truth - how could I sell a customer something that I KNOW I wouldn't buy if I was their shoes? ..and I think we all knew they were crap value for money. What I couldn't understand was how they COULD sell PLPs, when they also knew that. And what was also interesting and perhaps very telling, was that staff could also take out loans of course, which were at a much bigger discount rate than they are today - something like 5% instead of 15%ish - but you couldn't even request a PLP for your staff loan even if for some idiotic reason you actually wanted one - there simply wasnt a staff PLP! Perhaps they'd worked out in advance that so few staff would want them, that it might backfire by waking up more staff to just what a dreadful product they were selling! Of course, I was pretty pleased when the whole PLP scandal broke out, & at last I felt truly vindicated. It was just a shame that by then I'd lost touch with the old gang, it would have been so sweet to at last say "I told you so" to them, and also my old boss too, it would have been lovely to point out to him that really he ought to have been paying me a bigger bonus than the rest - for all those PLPs I DIDN'T sell and that mountain of tens of £££thousands of extra pay-outs I saved the bank!! On a more serious note I think its ONE of the problems with our society - >> Too many good people prepared to join in blindly rip-off their fellow "rank & file" without a 2nd thought (or even a 1st one) if thats what empathy-free bosses ask of them. And IMHO a big reason for such injustices is the intentionally "dumbed down" state education most of us get, which is evermore focussed on creating obedient corporate workers, and less & less on learning things that will actually be useful to us! I suspect its all those more useful "extras" that makes wealthy parents happy to pay so much more for their children to get the private schooling that they had! After all if they taught us all USEFUL stuff like basic finance at school then who would there be to play the next generation of mugs to fall for & provide the £millions for young Percy and Henrietta's latest scams???

He’s correct that core ‘happiness’ is found with certain basics and that have to do with our attitude- both of which are there with or without money. My dad was a true master of life and I will always remember him telling me it’s about balance and you have to work for that balance. Last, life is mostly about loss and forgiveness. I will say- there’s a point of enough suffering - lessons learned- money can make life open up to things you never thought possible as you don’t have your head down pushing through the grind or take away huge amount of stress when you don’t think your losing your house to foreclosure when your baby has cancer and you can’t pay medical bills. THAT’S when money is truly needed and DOES make you happier as it takes the weight off your shoulders so you can spend those needed moments with your child and not on the phone for hours with the bank to get nowhere.

Curious why the Brits say....."maths" when talking about mathematics. In the U.S., it's just math....singular, not plural. Guess it's just one of those, Toe May Toe...vs. Toe Mah toe, things? Differences between, "The Queen's English" and U.S. English aside, I can listen to Brian Cox talk about anything....all day.
