    It’s refreshing to listen to someone who really understands F1. Hamilton has over time become the most underrated driver in F1 by a lot of people who just speak on emotion. He didn't win because of TOTO and MERC.
      He was left out with WORN out tyres to be preyed upon, AND he didn't deserve the win because he should have NEVER been tied on points for the last race. Bottass really made all the money Merc paid him worth it, by BRAWLING the grid at Hungary 2021, and almost taking out both RBs, luckily Max did win enough points to REVERSE that injustice, let's not talk about 51G's against the barrier in the most DANGEROUS corner in the entire calendar, sir LULUBELLA should have been DISQUALIFIED right there and then, he almost did it a SECOND TIME in the SAME race against LECLERC!!!
      Anyway, Masi for ONCE made a decision that didn't go totodile's way and then they felt it was not fair, when during ALL SEASON LONG, Masi was BOMBED in the radio by TOTO, always DEMANDING shit to go MERC's WAY!!

      Nah, for me only the 8th title counts. It does not matter for whom he drives, as long as he get that 8th. But in 25, my favorite drivers on the grid are gonna be in the same team. I hope charles learns alot from Lewis and Lewis pass on the baton 2 Charles. Maybe Lewis his secret notebook that Lewis keeps and not many know about 😁

    The man speaks absolutely spot-on. What he carefully avoided was to acknowledge that Mercedes have not been able to put it all together at the track like they used to do -- when Nikki Lauda was there to lead them. Toto Wolff isn't even a shadow of Lauda. The future of Mercedes Racing is not in good hands, has been that way for much too long.

    When he moves to Ferrari, their technicians need to get on board very quickly with the way Lewis thinks and adapt their cars in line with his particular level of expertise. If this can be accomplished along with solid vehicle reliability, Ferrari should have (at least in theory) provided Lewis with every opportunity to win more world championships.

    Great content. Thanks. JV is so refreshing. Can someone help me regards LH move to Ferrari. It’s always been said how critical the race engineer is to a driver. So could Bono also go to Ferrari? Or is that kind of move not feasible as he doesn’t know the Ferrari team etc.?

    • @Roxas-ph3te
      @Roxas-ph3te Před 3 měsíci

      Strictly speaking, looking at the past, there is a very good chance it won't be Bono who's Lewis's engineer at Ferrari. Bono himself became Lewis's engineer after Michael had left Mercedes. Seb used to have Rocky as his engineer at RB and that changed at Ferrari, same with Alonso who had Andrea Stella at Ferrari (same Mclaren Andrea Stella). Also consider that Bono would have to leave and live in Italy, the likelihood this happens is small.
      Tbh I wouldn't be shocked if Bono retires or takes a back seat from race engineer, he's had a couple health issues over the years and this might be an opportunity to take a step back into a more managerial role.

      Thanks for the quick reply. I appreciate the detail. You are clearly knowledgeable. I’m Al see I interested to know how Ferrari plan to up their game in regards to the strategic side. That’s been a glaring weakness and they’d have likely had more wind in recent years with better race strategy decision making etc. Do you think they’ll be making senior team management changes prior to 2025? Lewis must surely have had some non negotiables, such as team structure, as part of his move? Is that something Fred is already doing? Surely too John Elkann knows it’ll take more than just hiring Lewis to get back to consistency winning ways. Would love your thoughts. Thx.

      I think Bono will follow Lewis to Ferrari!....When Massa left Ferrari to join Williams - Rob Smedley followed him! I also wouldn't be surprised to see other key Mercedes personnel (or ex-personnel!) head in the same direction!...One we definitely should look out for is former Mercedes engine supremo >> Guru: Andy Cowell: who could become THE GAME-CHANGER???

    • @Roxas-ph3te
      @Roxas-ph3te Před 3 měsíci +1

      @JB-xd9dr Senior team management changes will happen, I'm sure, but I don't think Lewis would be too demanding. He has his mission 44 stuff and his passion for diversity, so he'll probably want some new faces in the heavily white Italian team, but at the same time, he won't want to compromise performance so the diversity stuff will be mainly at lower levels at Ferrari. Ferrari has poached a couple of Mercedes people over the years, so I think he'll evaluate the situation and speak with Elkan if he has any suggestions. He also probably trusts Fred to do his job when needed to. Ferrari has good personnel and makes good cars, it's just that the race day performance isn't consistent, and Hamilton will probably help with that.

    Interesting about sportsmanship in winning a world championship. I wonder if vercrashen will always regret
    his first title when he knows he never won it by skill and fair driving it was given to him by the race director
    handing it too him on a plate. Cheating the rules and allowing his red bull mates an easy win, which we now
    know cost him his job and reputation. Vercrashen will always be remembered for his ability to cheat and
    run other drivers off the track to gain advantage than his talent for driving well. He’ll never be known for his
    sportsmanship.
