Hey hey.. I recommend you guys to buy his mobility program.. Its very well structured program that allow beginners like me to get some mobility to do other calisthenic training.. Awesome!!
I have interacted with trainers for 30 years and can not find the quality and professionalism Cali Move offers. Thank you, guys, I am a better athalete and trainer because of your instruction.
I used to do only sit-ups for my abs. Now I’m 15 with a fracture in my lower spine, called spondilolisis. I’m not sure if it was directly caused by sit-ups, but I would definitely recommend listening to this guy.
I've been doing sit ups too, but I always sat on a pillow to lighten the blow to my tail bone, cuz it hurt too much not to. But now that I know there's better ab excercises out there I'm gonna get rid of them altogether
@@imjoshbytheway any diet that puts you in a caloric deficit works. Theres no "better" or "faster". Dont be dumb. Its all calories in and calories out.
Dude, there's always regressions to exercises. Try starting with isometrics like planks instead of push ups, actively hang from a bar instead of pull ups, etc... let me know if you need any advice. Starting somewhere is better than starting nowhere.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have been doing the back to the wall HSPU's for years at the expense of my elbows, back, traps and shoulders. Thank you for showing us a more effective way. This, is the reason why I follow your videos!
plyo push ups: "But there are also a lot of people who only do them because it looks cool" wait, I thought that's the whole point of doing them *confused face*
Don’t know what to say since I do all these exercises, so here’s a recipe on pancakes: INGREDIENTS 2 eggs 1 3/4 cup milk 1 teaspoon vanilla essence 2 cups self-raising flour 1/3 cup CSR Caster Sugar Butter, for frying, plus extra, to serve Maple syrup, to serve METHOD Step 1 Whisk eggs, milk and vanilla together in a jug. Sift flour into a large bowl. Stir in sugar. Make a well in the centre. Add milk mixture. Whisk until just combined. Step 2 Heat a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Grease pan with butter or spray with cooking oil. Using 1/4 cup mixture per pancake, cook 2 pancakes for 2 minutes or until bubbles appear on surface. Turn and cook for a further 1-2 minutes or until cooked through. Transfer to a plate. Cover loosely with foil to keep warm. Repeat with remaining mixture, greasing pan with butter or cooking oil between batches. Step 3 Serve with maple syrup and extra butter.
Calimove always on point. I follow lots of Calisthenics channel and this is definitely one of the best. With your teachings, I’ve been able to do the front lever, handstand push-ups and many more
As someone who's just getting into calistenics I highly appreciate this video. A lot of beginner's guide out there includes these exercises. You not only explain why it's not recommended, but you suggest alternatives, and oh boy are they more doable...
"A coward is someone who is too afraid to try something new. However, A fool is someone who does something without knowing their capacity." - Me, just a moment ago.
If you can't do normal/chest dips, you can do them on parallel bars with your feet/legs resting on bars in front of you. This way the exercise is very simmilar to nomral dips, but easier.
Much appreciate your video. Especially for an old man like me who is after flexible but not the serious regimented routine. All the best from Lismore NSW Australia
OMG no wonder I've been in considerable pain after a hard WO. I always thought it was because I really pushed myself. After viewing this magnificent video, I now know that I was WO incorrectly. Now, I will cancel immediately what I doing incorrectly, & adopt the methods of this video. Again, thank you so much Professor.
Heh, I've been doing atleast 50 situps 6 days per week for roughly 3 years now, increasing the amount slowly. Two months ago I started doing 200 per day. How nice to learn that I essentially did my body more harm than good.
I quit doing sit-ups early into my journey when I learned about the harm it could do. If anything, you don’t necessarily need to work your core all that much. Because to really get a six-pack, you gotta lose the fat covering it by going on a calorie deficit.
Its funny I remember getting yelled at by my physical education teacher when I was a kid having never liked doing sit ups. They kept saying they are excellent exercises. Wish I could show them this video today.
Great video. I like the presentation and information. Fortunately, apart from sit-ups, I’ve never even been able to do the other exercises. I now won’t sweat on that fact ha ha Guess I always knew they weren’t good for you because they just don’t feel ‘right’, but it’s nice to see exactly why with some good alternatives.
One Punch Man had the right idea. But it was poor in execution. If anything, the reason why he has a shitty posture is because he didn’t do any pulling movement.
Huge thanks to You... I have been Doing Sit Ups Wrong from past one week and felt the Pain In lower Back. But After Viewing Your Video I found my flaw. I will Surely Go for Crunches from today only. 👍🏻👍🏻
Actually that's pretty important, that's when your body is best able to repair and strengthen damaged muscle tissue, readying you to do better in your next workout
Well man, this is because mosr poeple who train in the gym don't know how to do it properly . When you train in cali you train in multifrequence your muscles (which is better than training each muscle once a week) and you do basically all compound movements which allow your body to express more strenght and engage more muscles at the same time. So for exame with weights you should focus on pull ups, bent rowing, bench press, squat, deadlift, overhead press (and all their variations) and stuff like this, and training all the body at least twice a week. Because in this way you recreate the anabolic window and the muscle grows more, and, those compound movements not only trains more muscles simultaneously but also allow you to put on a lot of weight (of course the more weight the less reps) and this is a further hard mechanic tension on your muscle (so stretching and flexing it has to endure a lot more weight) and so it damages more and this stimulate muscle growth. (of course if you train the same muscles a lot of times a week you don't have to train till failure every time, it would be controproductive and to hard to stand)
I'm sure there will be more.. LMAO...as a personal trainer at the age of 50 I can tell you it gets painful to move joints past a point after 30 years of power lifting..stupid movements when I was younger... LoL
