Fast and Furious Catfish Night Fishing!

- A last minute fishing trip turned into a great night of fast and furious catfish action! I've never caught this many catfish in a single night like this before. It was a great time.
This is the first time I've filmed a fishing trip at night, so it could use some work, but I still wanted to share.

Nice haul! Those smaller cats like that do have some of the best tasting meat on them. The bigger ones can sometimes get a bit "mushy." You mentioned in the video you wished you could get some bigger ones. What I might suggest is using cut bait (chubs, bluegill, shad) or better yet, fish baitfish whole. You likely won't get the fast action but your average fish will be a lot bigger with potential for a real magnum if you use whole baitfish. The world record flathead was caught in Kansas!
The camera angle at the 8:55 mark or so is a good one to use if you have a tripod along - you could see all the rod tips and fishermen. Just my input on the angle for fishing.
I was mainly just meaning fish that were big enough that it was easier to get the hooks out. We caught quite a few that were really difficult to get the hook out, just because their mouth was so small.. Then again, I'm used to largemouth bass lol.
Yeah we use cut bait when we set lines usually, and we've done it some with pole fishing.
I might have to think about bringing the tripod next time.

Using some Sonny's dip bait? I got some nasty sonnys in my garage right now. I need to get out and get some cats soon.
I don't remember the exact stink bait we were using. I know we were using two different kinds.. but we caught fish on both stink bait, worms and shrimp.
