I'm a huge fan of Samsung's Fold3 5G, so you would think I would naturally be a big fan of the Flip series, but you'd be surprised. Last year's Flip didn't impress me but maybe the Flip3 can change my mind!

The whole idea is to stop people from skipping the Sponsored segment. Be real most of just turn off the video or fast forward it when "Sponsored Segment" starts. D-Brand knows this and that's why they make it more interesting to keep people watching. Now imagine if I show you a normal Sponsor Segment and then a D-Brand Sponsor Segment (Something like this) and after few weeks or months, won't there be a higher chances of you remembering the D-Brand segment more? Also by trolling Linus by making memes they're essentially making free ads and advertisement because people will talk about this thing saying "Linus getting trolled" which ultimately increases their market value and exposure overall. Notice that they're only doing this with LMG related channels and not others like MKBHD etc. etc. Because LMG has the most spread across CZcams

The devices become more powerful every year and yet.. for most people most of that power is wasted in the moment so what ends up happening is that th longevity of that phone doubles if not triples.
Samsung, being somewhat smart invented DeX primarily for this reason, they realized a Phone can do so much more than just be a "Phone" For a lot of people it can do all the things they need to. Just add a mouse and keyboard and you can have a desktop experience with a phone you dont need a 500 to 1000 dollar laptop to write E-Mails if your phone cna do it all the same. Though... Got mine for a week now. Its a great device and besides the Fold 3 the only SD888 Samsung device you can buy in Europe. Imo there are a lot of usefull tricks the folding mechanism brings with it. For ex. the multi window mode really makes senses with this device. In landscape mode you can make use of the full screen real estate and if you give the display a little bend you can perfectly enjoy a news article while not being to much distracted by the yt video that just plays on the other half of the screen.
There is also a nice benefit for gamers going with a phone that consists of basically two halfs hinged together. The SoC sits in the top half which means the lower half will stay cool even under full CPU/GPU load.
For me as a phone junky its also nice to have the second screen. Its perfect for a quick check of the time, weather and recent notifications. As long as you do not unfold the device you won't get into full blown smartphone zombie mode, which at least for me, significantly reduces screen on time.

A good purse keeps your things seperate, but even really nice pockets fail and slap your keys against your phone screen sometimes. Flip phones had an edge for durability that had them hang around for a while after the candy bar style took over in certain demographics. Moms, people with dirty jobs, travelers... the fragile early-game smartphones just couldn't take the punishment.
The water resistance is a major plus because this phone really needs to be seen as durable to be viable beyond the enthusiasts that want the trendy odd/nostalgic phone to play with. If this can become the next Nokia brick, and advertise it as a no case necessary smart phone, then I can see it catching on with the younger set.

It's been a couple months now since I've bought this tablet and it is great. czcams.com/users/postUgkxAxiUS5CgVC3j8FwNOHt037zhsquGQpXv The tablet is responsive and runs well. There were a few times that the tablet did an awkward thing where it would detect pen on at all times and wouldn't register finger press, but it is usually fixed by closing and opening either the screen or app. This is highly likely due to my excessive use for drawing which caused this and wasn't really very big. As I mostly enjoy using the tablet for drawing (and some light gaming), I would comment from that aspect that there is definitely more accurate pressure and drawing using a PC device and drawing tablet, however i find the moveablity of the tablet more enjoyable to draw on. Like how you can physically rotate and move a piece of paper around or even draw casually on your bed.All in all, as a tablet it is good, and as a drawing device can be good depending on what you want from a drawing device. It is definitely good enough if you just want to use it to take notes. For typing though I can't comment on the keyboard as I did not get the keyboard.

There's the utility of the hinge aswell. Like being a compact or holding it self up for pictures and video. Being able to set your phone down when you video call, all with no extra equipment. Making it especially good for on the go. If you don't do those things all the time your probably not going to like the phone.
Along with the portability it makes the phone very appealing to many everyday consumers. Especially women and older people. You don't have to sacrifice pretty much anything about a regular smart phone, and you get extra. It also cuts into the market of people who only have an iPhone for the size and the look. Its a cute phone with features those people actually care about.
The only thing really holding it back (for the people who like it) is probably the price. It is new technology. Its a phone you have to buy with a trade in and a payment plan so people can't and won't just switch to this as soon as it comes out. I know when my phones due for an upgrade though the flip is what I want.
And its not about having the best camera. I don't care about the best camera as long as it looks good.

I mean every criticism this video makes about the Flip 3 can be similarly applied to the Fold 3:
You are getting a phone replacement to replace the candy bar model but you get the exact same candy bar experience except it is twice as thick and bulky?
The external screen is gimmicky when you could just unfold the phone and leave it there.
Why get a phone that functions as a small tablet with a short battery life when you can get a real tablet?
The Fold 3 does not even completely fold close. There is a small gap where all the dust goes in.
Complaining about needing to move the Flip 3 in your palm a bit because it is too long? Well, with the Fold 3 you need two hands to handle it.

I LOVE how samsung is going back to playing around with designs, just like phones did back in the day.
Remember when new phones had cool design features, like phones made to be an mp3 player, phones that were designed especially for games, phones that were supposed to be as small as possible. Etc.
For the last 10 years, its been nothing but minor changes in design, and just minor upgrades each year until we have these powerfull little Machines.
But for the last 4 years or so, we get upgrades we dont need. Like 10000x zoom, which doesnt really look that great, all sorts of camera features we use a couple of times. But never again (and they are not even compatible with most apps) and batteries that are borderline useless.
We are at the point where there is no need to buy the latest products anymore.
And thats where the foldable phones come in.
    This is the next step.
Especially the one that folds into a tablet.
Unfortunately, the technology isnt quite there yet. It needs to look and feel seemless when unfolded, and the price is riddiculous a phone that is more or less a tester.
And this one that folds in the middle, giving you a very thick brick, that is still way too big compared to phones like the iPhone mini.
    Its useless.
I hope this catches on soon enough. With some competition in the folding phone market, especially from Apple, then we will reach great folding phones within just a few years.
I would personally love an iPhone mini that folds into a tablet. Would be smaller than current version, but not at long, thin and awkward as they are now.
