I just want to personally let you know that Barb's buzzin and Paul cuffaro and that Nick guy. They really care for their animals and the things that they do and they don't abuse them they try their hardest they learn just like everyone does. And yes when Barb's buzzin boys do their weird fish tanks in a bubble or in the bed of their truck they Never Leave the fish in there, they do do it for the video and yes it's probably stressful to the fish but they don't leave fish in there as their home it's for the video and always for like an hour and then they get put back into a pond or proper tank. And they use so much sarcasm while they do their things that if people think it's real it's really just it's on you. I very much agree with the way that you say fish tanks and fish keeping needs to be done. But these boys love their animals they're not animal abusers or fish abusers. It just makes me sad to keep hearing people say that especially as you said you haven't watched their Channel and some things might make you sad but hey when they are trying and they're doing things right they're doing it well

The glass jar was a way to prove you could keep guppy grass in an aquascape without having it take over the tank. It kept it contained it was perfect for breeding neocaridina shrimp. I’ve come a long way since that tank!

My problem with Paul cuffaro is that he’s got his heart in the right place but he’s rushing it. It’s fun to see the creative stuff that he comes up with but then he proceeds to put fake plants, and overstocks it with goldfish. He had the means of doing his research but he acts as though he already knows about what he’s getting. Not a bad CZcamsr necessarily, just overconfident and needs to learn. Just my 2 cents worth.

That first pic of the tank after 1.5 months without power was tragic! It also made me think of all the poor Australian hobbyists who lost all their tanks due to the bushfires, whether their houses were wiped out by the fires, or they lost tanks lost due to power outtages. So devastating to see the posts about it in forums and how some people are so heartbroken they can't conceive of going back to the hobby. Spare a thought for them all. 💔
me: puts days worth of research into fish and plant care, will not get a tank until I am fully confident in my knowledge, the only things I have right now are moss balls to practice caring for aquatic flora

My sister-in-law and her boyfriend did this. Then the betta started having swim bladder issues the next day and they came running to me for advice. They have done much better :D not perfect, but better.
Honestly i had my marimo for years and other aquatic plants for months before i picked up any fish. Like i was a house plant person and then when i was picking up aquarium salt for my aquatic plants there was this sad clear betta missing an eye who had to come home with me. My plants and aquariums shelf thang brings joy.

It makes me sad that all my bettas have had 5+ gallon, densely planted tanks with heaters and filters, and one only lived 9 months while another lived a year and a half, but I hear about people that had one in a jar for 5 years 😭

Okay, so I don't watch much of any of these youtubers except Paul Cuffaro, and I can assure you that he does NOT torture his fish. Occasionally he does do a "Worlds Smallest Fish Tank" yes but he uses a minnow and then puts it in a bigger aquarium/pond soon after it is put in the small tank. He is a very knowledgeable fish keeper and should not be put into the same category as these other people (nick bingo is also good as well as blake)
@@lethalspooney4210 in not talking about torturing like catchem all does but there are things he should change like the flowerhorns in a too small tank and you also know he is doing something wrong when his oldest fish was 4 years old
@@lethalspooney4210 Blake is way worse then Paul. He doesn't do water changes and puts a betta in a way to small aquarium with no filter and says its living its best life. Nick bingo also made some mistakes like putting a tang in a nano aquarium but he took that one out and he is doing better now
IfYouWoooshMe youhavesmallpp Rawwfishing is worse than all of these combined. Yes, Paul and Joey slayem have some major flaws, but are low on the list. For nick bingo, I only know of one major slip up by him when he was new to saltwater, but other than that he isn’t nearly as bad as some of the others on this list, and worse of all, rawwfishing.
lol the shade at paul is so good. i commented on his video once educating him on blood parrot cichlid care (he was shoving about ten of them in a coffee table tank...) and he replied basically telling me to get off of his channel LOL. such a tool

Seeing videos like this gives me a boost in my tank and fish care. I started with a 10 gallon fish tank, recently updated to a 20 gallon long. I have one male betta fish, 5 neon tetras, 3 cherry barbs, 2 Pygmy corys, and 2 zebra loaches. I have all live plants and fake barrel decor for the fish to hide. I’ve had my betta fish for almost 5 years now and he’s still going strong with his tank mates

They are technically crayfish, but a lot of stores sell them as “lobsters” for marketing, so it is sort of a common name for them.

It makes me sad when people don’t take the time to learn how to take care of their pets. I had a betta that lived in a .5 gallon unfiltered and unheated aquarium with a sectioned off half with a second betta. The second betta died after less than a year. I did some research and put the other betta (a pink female we named Margret) into a 5 gallon with a heater and filter and she lived 4 more years.
Review catch em all fishing. But have the bleach ready to disinfect your eyes, it’s bad.

The very first tank shown is badly broken down. I have left tanks with this level of planting for 6 months with no degradation in plant growth. The difference is my tanks are set up with a 4-5 inch deep substrate. The substrate supports plant life just as it does in a pond. Shallow substrate is a recipe for disaster when the fishkeeper is not able to continuously provide maintenance support.
Hello Chris! It is great seeing you back! It was so sad to see the tank that the owner left for a month and a half with no maintenance! You have to keep the fish healthy and tank cleaned! I enjoyed watching this video!

I can so relate to that first picture, Left for a 5 day holiday 2 weeks ago, placed holiday food in my tank. Came back last week and everything’s wrong, nitrite spiked probably due to the holiday food. Fixed that then because of the nitrite weakening them, now I’m battling skin flukes.

Today I discovered an aquarium in my high school lab.
It was a 30 gallons hexagon fish tank with live plants, a good substrate, good filter for a dozen guppies.
I was happy until a biologist wouldn't believe me when I said they were going to breed a lot ... 😂

Actually you can put plants in a Malawi tank (I’m not an expert but my dad used to own a massive tank for many years so I know a little bit about malawis) I wouldn’t recommend putting in expensive plants just in case they decide to rip them apart and you should definitely focus more on hardscape. It’s not what their natural habitat looks like at all but it doesn’t bother the fish and (imo) looks a lot nicer to have a few plants here and there. :)

about the lobster, I made that mistake too. my first betta died to fin rot which and prbally another infection, so when I got my seccond I wanted to add a srimp kind when I sad a smaller lobster and my pet store said, oh yeah they can go togetter and they could not. it was stupid and I schould have known better, was a rude wake up the next money tho. was so angry. but the wound is healing well and the betta is even making a bubble nest now, so I am glad he is doing fine and am never gonna make the mistake again. keep up the good work tho, watch a lot of your old FTR's and am really learning from them. :D

My girlfriends female betta survived for 5 years, living one of those years with me. For the four other years the betta lived in a 3 gallon bowl with a fake blue plant. It not until my gf went to New York she asked me to take care of her betta and I saw what the condition was of the betta. For her last year, I spoiled the literal fuck out of her and got her new substrate, a betta log, and a small mirror for her. S.I.P Zephyr.
