Theories on Shrimp Circle:
1 - they're gathered around a glass feeding dish (I use one for my neocaridinas and it can be hard to see since it's super clear glass)
2 - they were fed a veggie in the form of a ring and it's almost gone (hence the fuzzy circle in the picture)
3 - and the most likely of all: they're discussing world domination. They've lured us in with their flashy colors and many legs... it's only a matter of time
those are bamboo shrimp (aka wood shrimp) and the hazy circle is all of their fans extended. they're certainly feeding on something. (not trying to ruin the joke, I just had to infodump on my favourite species of shrimp)

Real explanation of the schrimp for those who are interested;
They are bamboo shrimp.
They are a filter feeding shrimp so they dont pick up food from the water but they filter out food from the water current with there special arms..
So they are always standing where the current is the best to filter out any food particles from the water.. in the video they are using a filter thats lets the water fall down into the aquarium. So it creates a verry small spot with high water current wich the bamboo shrimp gather around to filter out :) so thats it just standing around the place with the most hard water current to filter out food.

“Anubias” & “Java Fern” are a couple of my favorite plants cuz they are pretty and easy to keep alive which I need cuz I can’t keep a plant alive to save my life lol
hey tortoise keeper here, i think i can help answer the confusion on 09:09
1. so by the looks, i think it's UVB light, it doesn't radiate heat, it's only radiate UVB. So the tortoise, (it's a cherryhead/redfoot by the looks of it) would be fine. Usually, tortoise keepers separate the UVB light and Heat light.
2. And i presume that is not his enclosure, if you look more carefully the enclosure is the big box outside the small container. He only there just for the temporary basking, in which pretty common practice for tortoise keepers when they want to bask their tortoise at certain times.
I understand the confusion for anyone who is not a tortoise keeper since the photo was taken at a really confusing angle lol. But i also understand why they took it that way since they intended to sell the light and want to demonstrate that it is working. Hope this clears the confusion and hopes my grammar is not that bad. lol

I've been keeping goldfish for so many years, I hate how they are perceived as 'easy' pets to keep when I'd say they are the most difficult cold water fish to have. If you watch MD tanks on youtube, his Ranchu's died in less than a year which shows even 'experienced' keepers need to educate themselves A LOT when keeping them.

I didn’t level my tank stand carefully enough when I set it up, and have since realized that the length of a 20 long makes it really obvious if it’s not perfect >.
Longest Betta fish life I ever enjoyed taking care of, a beautiful male dark blue body to purple and then deep red at the end of his veil type fins, lived for 7 years in a planted 5 gallon tank with fine black sand, aquarium grass, amazon sword, and a variety of aponogetons. His name was Frankie Spaghetti and he finally stopped eating one day, but he would come up to my finger and look me in the eye to the very end. The best Betta fish ever.

The shrimp in the tank are most likely Atya Moluccensis, I don't know it's english name, here it's called "Hillstream Shrimp". They have specialized arms they use to filter feed on tiny particles they catch from the current. The owner most likely did put a water stream downwards so they arrange in that circle to wait in the stream for food, they are all in feeding position with their filter arms outstretched.

OMG, that goldfish aquarium. Advice is, buy a house with a large yard, build a large greenhouse, dig a massive pond in that greenhouse. Advice is designed for cold climate areas, for hot climate areas replace glass with screen, chicken wire, or hardware cloth to prevent birds from eating your goldfish.
Absolutely love these fish tank reviews... Might have to submit my new turtle tank once it's completed. A happy coincidence that I got some Anubias and Java Ferns for that tank. Fingers crossed they don't get destroyed in the first hour.
Oh! And the shrimps are doing that because they are bamboo shrimps and they are gathering around one area with good flow so they can catch food (*and summon the god and savior of all crustaceans, The Lobster*) and the rocks are blue cuz the person who took this pic Saw this at a petsmart.

That betta bowl at 6:15 is about 25l(5gal), not too small for a betta.
The problem is pure sand bottom with stem plants, they will rot in 2 weeks and foul the water.
And of course, the heater, if the owner doesn't live in a warm area.

my personal theory for the shrimp circle is that thier food has gotten dropped in the same spot for long enough at the same time consistently enough that they are circling that spot in anticipation of food and just waiting. Shrimp aren't super smart, but they can get used to schedules (if done consistently and long enough with the same shrimp).

had the frog for 5 years but then his legs stopped working, kept him in shallow water so he would drowned but then after a week of not working fungus grew out of his legs and he died.

Aren't the shrimp bamboo shrimp ? They could be standing in one spot under the flow of the filter (which would be vertical in that case) because they are filter feeders and are hungry. Maybe they are actually starving.

depends on the size of the tank , if its between 3 to 9 gallon just keep a betta with maybe some snails if any less dont even think abt bettas
if it's like above 10 to 20 gallon then u can keep couple of female bettas

Those are all filter shrimp, mix of African vampire shrimps and bamboo shrimp. That part of the tank has the best flow and therefore the most food.

I originally wanted to get a 5 gallon tank on Amazon for Christmas, but at Petsmart I found an 8 gallon that I liked much better! I got that one for Christmas along with everything needed to set it up! On Tuesday the last things we need come in the mail! My fish tank is on my wooden dresser and we were worried about how to keep the wood safe. On Amazon, we found these rubber pet feeding mats with raised sides. I suggest you look them up as they are really helpful in keeping wood safe and water from your fish tank contained! I am going to set up my tank on Tuesday and wait a few days after the tank cycles to get fish! I'm going to have a lucky Betta and tetras! Possibly a bottom cleaner or shrimp too! I've been doung my research! I love watching FTR every week!

The shrimp are bamboo shrimp, which filter feed with the 4 fan like appendages on their fronts, they are all standing around the part of the aquarium with the optimal flow for filter feeding. Once bamboo shrimp find their spot, they will only move if spooked. There are however far too many of them for that aquarium. You can only have one Bamboo shrimp per 30 gallons of aquarium. Not because they're messy, but because otherwise there is not though bacteria and floating algae in the water to feed them.
My 6 foot tank leaked when i was at work, i came home to water coming under my front door, thought thats not good, opened the door and watched one of my blue australian crayfish (yabby) wade through inch deep water in my loungeroom... turns out a 6ft by 2ft by 2.5ft tank when empty will fill a 3 bedroom house with 2 lounge rooms and 1 bathroom an inch deep when emptied inside haha... oh anyone breeding shrimp, yabbies, crayfish.. this will happen to you too if you have a silicon seeled glass tank, they use there tiny feeding claws to pull the silicon out... also if you breed large crayfish like me they use the same feeding claws to climb the silicon in the corners to climb out of the tank and mine at 9 or 10 inches in size could lift off the glass lid and escape.. so get used to that haha..
That turtle isn't a turtle. It's a tortoise. A sulcata tortoise by the look of it. If anyone is interested. Im really working on my own tank . I just put a Java fern in the corner. Getting some cool carpeting moss and floaters. I have been trying to give my tank a lot of thought and design. So far, it looks pretty good. Can't wait for my carpeting moss to arrive. Also got some red rooted floaters so I can remove the lid and swap the lights with a nicer timer activated system. I've learned so much from this channel!

i used too put my betta fish in a fish bowl when i was like 9 years old, it lived for 1 year in a half but at least it's not in a itsy bitsy tank any more :D
those are bamboo shrimp and i think the owner berried a a disk airstone under the gravel and turned it off, cause bamboo shrimp like stay close to strong water movement to filter feed
Just so people know if you end up having a leak in your aquarium old and new silicone don't stick together very well at all and for the aquarium silicone to seal it needs to be fully dried out for 24 hours to set and work properly. If you get a leak, usually it's a pressure leak.if it's random, I've had a couple of those and if I lower the water level just a tad it stops leaking. Otherwise people have damaged the tank in various ways, either way in a way it could have been avoided.
The bettas are in the mason jars for an introduction for mating.
Most likely there is a flow of water from above going directly down to the gravel gentle enough not to push it away and strong enough so that the shrimp can feel it and syphon it.
My guess, Those are filter feeding shrimp like bamboo shrimp or something and there is an undergravel filter there creating a current. and they are forming a circle around the water flow vent.
