Pangea was a supercontinent that broke up into Laurasia and Gondwana about 200 million years ago in the early Jurassic period. It is also a brand of food meant for mostly Crested Geckos. It contains insects, whey protein, egg, fruits, pollen algae and probiotics.
At an auction I once heard someone say a horses beauty is a horses fate ( a “pretty” horse is more likely to be bought by an abusive person because they like the look and don’t know what they’re doing) but I think the same goes to fish. A beautiful fish is likely to be bought by some idiot and placed in a bowl for display (not always of course) but someone who buys a dull fish is more likely to care for it as a fish, giving it the life it deserves

It’s common knowledge that fish aren’t supposed to live over one year. They can only survive in a one gallon tank or less. Pink gravel and spongebob decor are essential for survival. Filters are also extremely unsafe. Fish can only survive in Pepsi. Turtles and Bettas are great tank mates.

"My" very first pet was a betta, he was red so I named him Bob(after the tomato.) I was allowed to look at him, watch his care, and once every now and then even got to put his allowed amount of food in. While I would do the care a little differently (I now know more about their needs than the adults in my life did at the time) that was a fun level of fish "ownership" for a young sprout.
I'm thinking of making an ethical, educational and cheap local fish store as a career. I already have 2 tanks and I just bought a third to practice scaping with. You inspire me!!

Instead of an impact tank how about a “Pangea” tank. Mix species of cichlids or tetras from all over. (Being they can coexist peacefully and safely). I think repashi would like to see it

I bought a fish tank off kijiji. Was told it was 60 gallons, had 6 goldfish and 1 pleco. I thought they were only babies. Nope. The tank was 3 gallons, and probably hadn't been cleaned in years. I had to slowly transition all the fish into a clean tank. Oh, and the goldfish were bigger than my hand. The pleco was the size of my forearm. She used an old photo.

This applies for me but most people in Sri Lanka will not care for their fish, they put friking fully grown Pacu in 50 litre tanks with no filter !! Just try to imagine that, and after the fish dies they just shove the dead fish in the bin, goes to the fish shop and buys a new fish without even checking why that fish died.

"Pangea" I commented a while ago talking about my oldest comet fish and how we had him in a pond for most of his life and that he was like 10 years old. Unfortunately, he has now past away, he was the biggest fish we owned and we measured him to be the length of my dad's foot (he is 6foot 4inches tall). But now we have an even bigger one, it is probably getting even longer than a full centimetre ruler long, it is so big.

@@qwesdf7883 well, maybe if you sell the fish and they were kept in good conditions since they were born and including the store, those fish can sell for more because they are suposedly healthier than the ones that are kept in poor conditions, and at least in my area and country, people who have better conditions for the fish in their store, usually have more clients and still the fish sell for more. I dont mean keeping the fish in the store, in the conditions that you would keep a adult fish permanently, but at least give the fish healthy water and some space to swim and disperse agression with other fishes.

I moved a tank a few feet where my betta can see the other one from across the room last night and I think I broke his mind (and I was afraid he would break his back trying to get out!), I had to put up a sight blockade and today's project, fix this unholy nightmare. Having a twenty gallon tank to reign in after the Petsmart cup, he just thought he was the only betta in the world. I can't imagine keeping them flaring next to each other all the time, it gives me such anxiety.
It being 6 days i found your channel while research... & After tht watching FTR back to back.. till now watched 41 videos.. leaving behind Netflix 😜

I'm really glad I found your channel and other fish/tank set up channels during this time. My family and I recently got into collecting fish because we have the time for this hobby now, but we were uneducated in fish care and only bought tanks and gravel. Now we have filters, heaters, proper substrate, and minimum 10 gallon tanks. Soon I will be rehoming my 4 bettas from 4 deparate 2.5 gallon tanks into 10 gallon tanks with dividers so each one has at least 5 gallons. Hopefully someday I can give each betta 10 gallons all to themselves and some snail friends. I have just completed a 10 gallon aquascape for my mom's two goldfish, and on the way is another 10 gallon for my dad's 5 cichlids which is probably too many for a 10 gallon but I swear to make them as comfortable as possible until they can get a bigger tank!
I highly recommend, if you aren’t already, trolling around every couple of days on resale sites for fish tanks. Letgo, Craigslist, FB Marketplace, etc. You will see some horrific stuff like he’s shown here being put up for sale, but you’ll also find bigger tanks for sale at drastically lower price points than you do with new tanks. I’ve found multiple big tanks for some pretty crazy prices through these, it’s really worth it.
Best examples are: the 37gallon with homemade wood stand that I drove across state lines to buy for $50, and the 125gallon with real wood stand that I got for $100.

3:00 those clear cases are used for photography purposes. Majority of the time the fish do not actually live in there but only spend some time for pictures. They put them all next to each other so they flare and look prettier on camera. Not saying this is okay, personally I wouldn’t want to stress out my fish with that but it’s not as terrible as you think.

To be fair to the guy/gal with the two goldfish in one tank, they could be trying to follow the suggestion of 20 gallons for the first goldfish and an additional 10 gallons for every additional goldfish. Since I know some people recommend this as an acceptable minimum for them. Or at least certain strains of goldfish. So a 29 Gallon tank would be pretty close to obeying that rule.

I just got a new betta on Saturday. (I had one a month ago but she had a tumor and died in 3 days) it is a female red dragon half moon and she is in a heavily (and I mean HEAVILY) planted aquarium with CO2 injection
2:34 black skirt tetras are one of those tetras that get on the larger size that’s why a lot of people keep them with cichlids because of their aggression level and their size not to mention they are only comfortable in a school of at least 8...

I saw some powder blue gouramis today while I was out and they were so beautiful! That is all lol
according to father fish, the thicker (deeper) the substrate the more balanced your tank will be and also for many more years, i think this guy was listening to father fish when he used such deep substrate
One of the fish I do want to have is koi, however if I am to get one I would want to get a pond for them first... and make sure they would be ok with winters of Washington.

12:45 That is not a 29 gallon aquarium. 29s are taller. Based on the size of the fish, I'd guess it was somewhere in 45/55/75 range. Though still not big enough for single tail goldfish it is a LOT better than a 29.
