- In this Video I will be unboxing and reviewing the ARM Motorsports FMIC Hose Upgrade for the N54 and N55 BMW engine.
We will be looking at everything that the upgraded hoses comes with, as well as we will be taking a close look at the manufacturing quality.
This Upgraded Hoses will fit all E8X 135i's and E9X 335i's, 335xi's, and 335is's with the N54 and N55 engine.

For those who are wondering, I bought and installed these and they are great. Perfect clearance and fixed my boost leak. OEM cold size hose has a tendency to leak around the inter cooler connection on aftermarket inter coolers.
Yes, the fitment was crazy perfect. At first, it looks like there is no way a hose that size can fit in there but it turned out to be on point. đŻ

I'm looking to gain 1 or 2 psi from installing these on my n55. Im just worried about the hot side being to short after I remove the stock accordion pipe
I actually just finished installing their 7 inch Intercooler this passed weekend and the fitment of the upgraded hoses was on point. When it comes to the hot side I had to insert the upper piece in a nice amount. I would say about 3 to 3 1/2 inches. There is definitely a nice amount to play with. I don't see why it wont work.
Did you have any fitment issues with the pipe being too close to the serpentine belt??
No fitment issues at all. The Cold side Upgraded hose fitment was perfect. I originally was wondering how in the world, was I supposed to fit that piece in such a small space. But to my surprise, it was perfect. I truly don't see another way that it could have been better. If interested, stick around! I will be uploading a video of the installation of the Intercooler (including the upgraded hoses) Soon. And I am planning to upload an additional Video of the Upgraded Intercooler hoses by itself, for those who want to go straight to the installation. I will also be illustrating how to install this upgraded hoses, without the need to remove any additional pieces or the Radiator Fan.
Will this hose upgrade fit another brand intercooler, like a vrsf intercooler?
I'm not quite sure, since I bought the upgraded hoses as a bundle with the intercooler and the charge pipe. I do know that both connections to the intercooler are 3 1/4 inch inter diameter and on the other ends, one matches the OEM connection on the hot side and on the cold side is 3 inch to match any upgraded charge pipe. I don't see why they wouldn't fit, but I think it is best to call them to make sure.

Hey man, i just ordered these and i was wondering what is the process to install them?
Its truly simple, there is no need to remove the radiator. I have seen mechanics removing the radiator which you don't have to. Remove the plastic ram air intake piece, after that all you really need to do is squeeze the cold side hose (since the are silicone) till you get them in there. It's gonna look like it doesn't fit, but the fitment is crazy perfect once its in place. I actually have a video of the install, matter of fact, I have videos up the yang yang, it just takes time to edit them. Video should be up soon; but probably by then you should have installed it already. There are 7-8 in line before I get to this one. Hope that helps though.

Did you end up removing the radiator fan or did you squeeze them from the top?
