    If there are no difference in hp, what’s the advantage over stock location ones?

      @bmwchannel7209  Před 3 lety +3

      For me, the only advantage is easier access to left side engine area for maintenance. That's about it. I would not do this again.

      @@bmwchannel7209 appreciate it. I was thinking of getting these but I think I’ll stick to stock location

      @@cptrey - You made a good decision. It is literally HELL to install. and if you need to work on the passenger side....holy hell, good luck.

      @@bmwchannel7209 does the relocated inlet make any difference with the stock ones? Like any difference in sounds and power?

      @@thebassmusic5010 for stock unmodified motors it’s nothing. For upgraded turbos they are absolutely beneficial and in my experience required in order to unleash maximum power. Didn’t notice any more noise from the upgraded inlets.

    Did you install the rear inlet from under the car?

    • @bmwchannel7209
      @bmwchannel7209  Před 3 lety +4

      Yes. Take out downpipes and engine mount. Apply soap or glycerine to snout... then proceed to curse for a day. ~ 8 hrs.
      You will need a hoist to keep engine from collapsing.

    Are inlets measured by the inner diameter or the outer

    What did you do with the temperature sensor on the factory pcv hose?
    Don't you have to use the sensor to be able to use the factory 2 wires harness connector?
    Any information would be appreciated.

    • @bmwchannel7209

      That would be the heater element that is located on the stock inlet near the firewall. You still use it. It just goes on the same inlet for the rear turbo on the ARM kit. and the wires plug in just like normal. You can't see it in the video because it is deep hidden behind wires and hoses in between the valve cover and the passenger wall.
      That heater element is used to de-ice and warm up the air in cold climates so that no water contamination happens. You can either unplug or plug in...be aware, if you plug it in and use it, MAKE SURE THE WIRES AND CONNECTOR ARE NOT DAMAGED or short circuited or it will cause drivability issues.
