I would always recommend a custom tune by a reputable n54 tuner over a jb4 or canned tune. Not only would you see better performance safely, you will also be able to have it customized to your driving style and preferences. You can take datalogs and send it back to the tuner to fine tune to your preferences. With jb4 you going to have to deal with what you get whether it suits you or not.

Been watching your videos for years when i had my e46s. Never had as much fun working on and modding a car like my n54. Excited to see where you take your car and how far down the rabbit hole you go.
3:01 One Thing to note about installing catless or otherwise Down Pipes is if you are driving an "XDrive" model replacing cats becomes much more difficult as the front wheel driving system makes reaching them impossible unless you drop the sub frame. I did it but it wasn't easy. Especially after snapping one of the main bolts because of corrosion and rust. 😢
Maybe you could do dyno runs at the beginning and end of the project? That shouldn't be too expensive, and will show how much power was gained overall.
I found a dyno near me but it’s like $175. Plenty of dyno results for the stock 335i (about 265 to the wheels) so I think maybe I’ll just do one at the end

Would always recommend a proper tune on a dyno with live readouts.. Not sure if that's allowed over there but here in the UK - stay away from these plug-in modules!! But do any map tuning after you have your mods installed so they can be tuned correctly..
2" inlets are best for factory turbos you then don't need to remove the factory rubber spacer which keep the pipe on
Just came across your channel. Great content ..... love the way you take the time to really explain things... I'm fairly new to the e9x chassis.. I own two e93's....an 08 335i and a 11 328i. I'm basically learning as I go...... as in my area in texas almost every one has v8 powered cars like mustangs camaros and challengers. On My 335i I have installed ..... 5.5 fmic..... vrsf charge pipe... 3in arm catless dp's ..burger motorsports dual cone filters.... I've also swapped out the og injectors for a set of index 12's.. I'm running the one step colder ngk plugs coupled with eldor coils. The mosfets went out on my orginal dme so I upgraded to an msd81 unit. Im currently running mhd stage2+ on stock turbos. In your expert opinion what would you say my current hp numbers are? 🕵♂️. Keep up the great content 💯
Did you upgrade the fuel pump or OeM for both hpfp/lpfp?

On any RHD N54 if you want a tune from MHD or JB4 that is aiming at 400hp (at the crank) or more, you really must get Turbo Outlet pipes.

On mhd stage 2+ with or without the inlets my draggy times were 0.2 apart on v5 e40. I don't think it's worth it unless maybe you get a custom tune. I'd dyno before and after inlet instalation to see the differences.

I take my X5 up north quite a bit and float tube fish its a great way to reset.
I have the 35i which comes with an N55 engine which is basically a n54. BIG tip the HPFP is a weak point in these cars when adding power. There have been a few variations of the HPFP by BMW but it is a known problem. GL

If the coolant expansion tank leaks from the level sensor, can only the o-ring can be replaced or I need the entire reservoir ?
You can buy an o-ring kit on ebay
