This is exactly why you gotta love BMW on the highway it's the ultimate driving machine, you just simply cannot get enough of its handling.
Must be some major quality control issues. I ordered this intercooler based on your recommendation and the internal welds were so poor the intercooler hoses would bottom out about a quarter inch from being able to clamp. I'm currently looking for a silicone set to upgrade the left and right to avoid having to scrap the intercooler because BOTH SIDES had this lip inside with welding bulges. Read on several forms of MANY people getting this intercooler and their hoses not able to seat. You got lucky my friend. I love your content but this intercooler is a buy at your own risk and be prepaired with a silicone hose upgrade or a serious Dremel with some carbide bits to clean the inner welds.

The point of an intercooler is to keep temps down during the pull. Recovery time is a secondary concern. Do a 3-4 gear pull and you'll be hovering around 130+ degrees which is going to pull timing.

VRSF My speedo video run as seen here was 3-4 : started at 96 IAT and went up to 107 during that entire run (just looked at the log). It recovered quickly after and then it was back to 96 if I wanted to go at it again. My stock one hovered at 130ish, so this one is doing better than my stock one.

I am about to log my Dinan unit in a few minutes, then tomorrow install Wagner Evo 3 intercooler to see the difference if any.
Delete the mesh and bend the front bumper down to gain full on airflow to the intercooler and do the same test you will have the ultimate cooling
On the way home from work cruisin barely 10% pedal and my iat stay at 159 :(

How long does it take to cool down not going highway speeds. Do a pull at WOT then drive around town see how fast that cools down. Good vid like always 👍

You way of logging isn't correct, you should be taking it from about 1500rpm in 3rd all the way to redline
I felt the differences to my car wen it shift it pulls as if u just floored it ! I have the ER intercooler tho.

dose the temp gauge work on the e90 n52. Because my e90 dose not have a temp gauge and its so annoying.
Will this thing fit into a e89? No one seems to be tunning these, and it's the same exact engine! I can feel the difference between a hot day and a cold morning, and it's pretty drastic...

Why your fuel indicator is not running correctly? I've seen the same thing in many other Bmw videos and there were always modded engines.

BMW Fanatic you didn't mention the ambient temps from the stock run being 86 degrees. would there b a major difference with the arm intercooler?
taking into account for the 86 vs 80 degree temps, his cruising temps were 5ish degrees cooler and his pull temps were 15ish degrees cooler 133 to 113 (133-113)-6=14.

Im debating on arms intercooler or vrsf intercooler which is almost double the price :(
gatiyo lugo I have the ARM intercooler and it leaks air at the connections. I've gotten two replacement units and it still leaks. It gets the job done and keeps my IATs low but I get a 30FF code if I do a WOT for more than 3 seconds. I've tested everything else I can think of and it all is fine except for the leak in the intercooler connections. Save yourself any trouble and just get VRSF.
The least expensive VRSF intercooler is only $449.
+DukerHD how did you duplicate the leak. Also did you make sure the connection is basically flush at the connection
DukerHD Yeah I would make sure that it's fully seated and that the C clip makes the connection with the intercooler piping to ensure "its connected" kind of thing
Will any major issues arise if I remove the mesh from the center of the front bumper after installing 5" fmic?? 08 335xi stock bumper
Besides more bugs and leaves getting trapped in the intercooler no zero difference besides cosmetic, I have done it to mine for over 3 months and so far no difference

You don't, but if you want to make the most of the intercooler upgrade, a tune is recommended.

My question was very off topic, my N54 engine has a jb4 tune already and was wondering will the quick tuner from bms do anything else with the tune? .. it connects to the map sensor on the charge pipe? It might be dumb getting both but I was wondering if you knew? I can't find an answer anywhere online. Ppl just talk about getting one over the other.
