imagine trying to sell this into a country that has actual car taxes, it'd be 600-800k.

I would expect it to cost less than what it costs. you can get like 40 cylinders of mazda with it. like, okay a suv makes sense, it made sense for lamborghini to make something daily drivable that has the branding on it. that way it makes sense ferrari would make a car that's usable like that. what doesn't make sense is that it costs so much while lacking anything that seemingly would justify the price.
what's the deal with it why it's 400k and not 200k? the pricepoint makes it a complete no go for most of the world in segments urus is in and the segment up from urus is practically nonexistent in size, the market size for urus is already small but the potential market for this is a fraction of that.

Compared to Porsche and Lamborghini, Ferrari really did put more effort into translating supercar elements to their SUV.
The hood is so long and you can tell the engine is pushed back to a front-midship layout plus it uses a rear transaxle, so it's actually got a 49:51 rear weight bias, and they actually went and put one of their supercar engines in it, even though a twin turbo favoring torque over horsepower would have made more sense and is what the other guys did.
I'm not going to call it an FUV, but I respect the engineering and lack of compromises.

It's a total travesty. No different to some rapper who's here today, gone tomorrow, fitting a lowering kit and wide arches to a Rolls Royce Silver Ghost. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. 'Brand' value is a precious and delicate commodity. This is a serious miss-step by Ferrari, not because this thing has anything wrong with it per se, but because it diminishes the 'Ferrari' brand and its other products. Brand diminution is rife at the moment, because bean-counters are running the show. They know the price of everything and the value of nothing. Both Rolls Royce and Bentley now sell these ugly boxy contraptions, both of which have made their respective brands more money, but at the cost of the brand's value. You want something like this? Go to Range Rover, Jeep, Toyota. They make that sort of thing. Ferrari builds rare, expensive, gorgeously styled pieces of moving art-work, which also drive in ways that few souls will ever experience. They are the ultimate aspiration for car enthusiasts. Not some jacked up, blobby piece of shopping-mall furniture.

It's actually perfect for a practical 4 door car from a supercar manufacturer. It's supposed to be fun and emotional to drive, it has good performance and space, it handles well, it's exotic whether it's the engine or the platform and most importantly it's a proper Ferrari. It's very different from a SUV, it doesn't even drive like one and certainly it's front-mid engine layout isn't associated with SUV's. It's priced exactly like a V12 Ferrari should be. The potential customers, unlike you, who are in the market for a Purosangue and can actually buy it, know that's a perfect 4 door Ferrari and it definitely meet their expectations (which should only matter) looking at the demand. It's completely sold out upto 2026.

You’re blind if you think that looks like a Mazda 😅. Just Google both of them next to each other… completely different design language. People are saying that just because the overall shape is SIMILAR to the Mazda 3 hatchback, but it doesn’t look like a CX-30. Even the overall shape isn’t that close honestly, the hood is much longer and the rear much rounder

Revuelto is the example where Lamborghini copied Ferrari's homework (literally) and made more errors, Ferrari's Purosangue is much more different than a homework copying job.

The same exact layout - 2 motors on the front axle, 1 between the gearbox and engine while there's no reverse gear as the 2 motors on the front axle is used for reversing.
