- Jaew Bong is a type of Chili Paste made with a medley of herbs, eaten with sticky rice. Jaew Bong is eaten throughout Laos and Northeast Thailand (Isaan) and has many variations. This variation called Jaew Bong Moo Yong, uses Pork Floss.

🌶️ INGREDIENTS
Dried Red Chilis - 4 cups (loosely packed) or 100 g
Shallots - 7 small bulbs or 200 g
Garlic - 48 cloves or 200 g
Galangal - 1.5 cups or 150 g
Kaffir lime leaves - 1 cup (packed) or 20 g
Pork floss - 4 oz or 100 g
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Msg - 2 tsp
Fish Sauce - 6 tbsp
Sugar Water - Water (1 cup) + Sugar (5 tbsp)

Omg, 🤯😳😳😳😳. 12 years ago. I had a Khmer friend. It was late and I remembered he gave me some of this with rice. He said he didn't know what It's called but his grandmother made it with pork floss. Omg, it was so good with rice. Now I know.

I love eating this with veggies. My mom would scold me bc I don't eat it with rice and my belly ends up hurting but still worth it!
