Your video is a great help for new players especially. The Commanders inventory screen alone was a godsend. I never realized this inventory existed and I was often wondering what the little circles with diamonds I got in crates and rewards were even for. I dang sure would have been confused by gold and blue Commendations with no explanation. Very well done. Do not underestimate how much you are helping the community by pointing out what may seem obvious to experienced player is immense help to us new players.

I went another way. I actually maxed Dewey out. My reasoning is that the torpedo detection as inspiration helps the team, not just me. Granted, I admit my reasoning may be flawed.
Nope, nobody's commander builds are inherently better than anyone else's. This is just my reasoning, but I would never suggest that there aren't many other good options for builds
Great video! I value concealment as well, and have my Cruiser commanders spec'd out as you do. DDs beware when I'm sailing my stealth Indianapolis. Detection range equal to radar, so if I'm detected by sea there's nowhere to hide. My Indianapolis matches aren't always the best in damage dealt, but the satisfaction of sinking 2 or 3 destroyers puts a smile on my face. This is great information, but I'm a little bit sad you put it out there. I kinda liked thinking that I was one of the few who had grasped this aspect of the game. DD players are accustomed to having the vision advantage, and more than one has freaked out when the moment he spots me he's painted by radar. Kinda wish you'd have played this info close to your vest, but anyway, thanks for all the help your channel provides.
Haha, I hear ya! 99% of the players either aren't exposed to or don't listen to my advice anyways, so the impact should be minimal
@@TbullGaming has WG done something with the firing angles on Nurnberg? Just saw some German guy's post showing a before and after for the ship. Don't speak German, but I think he mentioned the aft guns and perhaps July 29.
As for radar ships, I'd rather have a game where I neutralize the enemy DD threat than a high damage output game. When you combine the two it's really nice, but the radar ships job is to take out destroyers, which is why they are so valuable
Yeah, next Monday there is a patch addressing those and the the times when you aim and your camera is stuck down at the waterline. Usually happens with DDs and the Atlanta
@@TbullGaming thanks. There's another one, only encountered it twice, where guns are locked and loaded on target, but when you shoot nothing goes downrange.
Good video. I would add to that by suggesting Vian (British) as an inspiration to be considered across the board - he reduces the precision of incoming fire.
Yeah, I have a feeling that if I were able to experiment with him I would put him higher up on the list.

I only had Dewey for the longest time for any US cmdrs... he’s level 14 because I ran down the US line first. It’s killing me now having essentially wasted all the costs leveling him up... now I have Simms, and Burke, but I’d trade both for Scott. The Atlanta is my favorite ship, and Dewey just ain’t cutting it.
I would also say that once you get Simms he imo is the most useful captain period. The HP bonus at the higher tiers is awesome. TDs in particular really benefit from this as you mentioned. I have him on all my high tier boats as an inspiration. I’m really not trying to gloat as I know how painful the cmdrs can be.
The other one that is pissing me off is for the British destroyer captains. I have just unlocked one of their (can’t remember the name) legendary bonuses and it has a stupid engine boost bonus. But British dds don’t get engine boosts.... not cool
Yeah I think they are gonna update that soon so all the skills actually apply to the ship lines
So in the end what is more valuable to you, AP pen multiplier traits or AP damage traits? My feeling is you cant do the extra damage if you cant penetrate the armor. Also did I hear you right when you said extending the repair party duration directly effects how much HP I get back in my battleship?
AP penetration would be more valuable to me, for the reason you state. Getting just one or two more shells to detonate internally should make up enough damage to cover the difference between the two perks.
And yeah, the longer the repair is active the more health it restores, as it restores a fixed value per second that it is running
Could you explain insignias a little bit more? I don't see how to earn them in the game. Do they become available much later in the game?
They are random in the basic containers. You can get a free basic container each day in the store tab

I wouldn't put any of them at top tier, but there are a lot of good ones. AP pen on battleships, the destroyer detectability cool down and destoyer HE damage are all nice
Tbull I'm hoping you can help me. I'm completely stumped on how to unlock the " A Few Good Gentlemen " achievement. I've unlocked and ranked up at least 6 of each nations Commanders. I don't understand " Simultaneously have 5 American or British commanders in your roster " which is how the achievement is described. I have tried setting up 5 different commanders in 5 different ships but that didn't work. The simultaneous thing is confusing. Can't get any help from the official club or from the facebook page, have been completely ignored on both sites. and I have a support ticket with Wargaming that's been up for about a week and still no response. Please please help if you can, describe how to get this achievement done. It's the last achievement I have to unlock.
I believe it is currently bugged, in that if you already had enough commanders so that you couldn't unlock 5 new ones since the update, you won't be able to get it. I might be wrong about that, but they did say there were some perks that had issues. I'm sure it will be fixed in the future and then you'll get it unlocked
Promotional orders and insignias hard to get, depressing
The point of it is, is that you are not supposed to have all maxed commanders right out of the gate. It will happen eventually, but unless you want to spend a huge amount of money for a small boost in performance, then you should be focusing first on what will improve your fleet as a whole

Commander crates. There are missions every Sunday that come out that provide one, and sometimes they are rewards for other missions

how to use the commander legend effect?
They usually activate when you get within a certain distance of either an enemy ship or a friendly ship. The perk description should say how to activate it

I think that the 1st inspiration comes at rank 7.
You certainly might be right. The first 6 or so levels just require the blue stars, which basically means they cost nothing. But I bring all the commanders up to lvl 8 without looking too closely at it
Just imagine... that as you ranked up Dewey his moustache got bigger each time. Then at Legendary rank 4 he and his stache ascend to a new plane of existence beyond us mortals. 🙀

My Japanese destroyer commander is at 16 and level two legendary he will never see three and four because of the amount of commendations he needs seven for level 3 and I would say at least 10 for level four to me that seems impossible
Im not joking when I say I've gotten Dewey about 8 times out of a crate, so you never know. But functionally, I would consider legendary lvl 2 "maxed."
I haven't put anything on my people's yet I stack all my stuff up I don't know what I want to do just yet with it GD video by the way
