Skin texture is normal. What's NOT normal, is having airbrushed filtered skin in real life. No one has that. EVERYONE has pores. EVERYONE has texture. Even supermodels and influencers. Celebrities and singers. No one walks around with a filter except on social media, and let me tell you - that aint reality!
Thank you to TEMU for sponsoring today's video. - Jak na to + styl
Girl, girl, please don’t promote Temu. Bad company that encourages overconsumption. We’re ruining the planet because of this. Temu ain’t it.
Yes! I am glad so many of us spoke up about this
Do you provide clothes to the poor? Do you buy extra clothes when you go shopping to donate to people in need? This is an incredibly privileged stance to have!
thrift stores exist you know? And you can even do it online!
I buy everything second hand, except underwear and socks, and ONLY when i NEED it. Not like some other people who go shopping every week/month. The quality is shit and it's litereally a HEALTH RISK to wear cheap clothes, especially from ultra fast fashion brands.
@@19Rena96 Thrifting can be way too expensive for people. Don’t make it seem easy and attainable.
@@19Rena96 Bruh the thrift stores where I live are HELLA expensive. I mind as well buy from a regular store at the mall
Stephanie please don't promote Temu. It is known for using slave labour.
It's all slave labor

Thank you for commenting this!
People suffered so you can have a phone, but yeah, I get the message
Some people are buying fast fashion because they don't have a lot of money!
Listen, I understand "no ethical consumption under capitalism", but Temu really is particularly bad. It's basically just like Wish/Shein.
You must be living high on the hog and incredibly privileged! I hope you are grateful for your life.
🙄
They also steal from small creators which really sucks. :(
they also pressure their sellers into selling at the lowest price
I don’t think its our place to shame those for using their money on what they want. Not everyone can afford to shop elsewhere
Stephanie, I cannot stress how much your videos help my mental health.
Mine too.
Same! 👋✌️
Honestly like I love this woman
me too
I know right
The amount of damage blurring filters are causing to women is astonishing. As an esthetician I get asked for the craziest stuff. Everyone just thinks they can come in for treatment for magically leave with zero pores, no expression lines and no pigmentation. Like that isn’t even physically attainable
Oh yeah. Back when filters weren't a thing, I always felt beautiful. I don't look much different. And I look back on pics and think "wow, i felt beautiful back then in these pics, but these pictures aren't that great by todays standards"
Temu is very fishy and supposedly have insane security issues. Please do not promote it.
I second that. Plus all the cheap things going straight to the landfills:(

What bugs me is when they say “shrink your pores” - like, you can’t make your pores smaller, you can just reduce the look of them if you do some stuff like use retinol and sunscreen.
Disappointing to see Temu being promoted 😔
No no no! Now Temu has got my girl Steph😓 Steph, I love ya but Temu is a bloody scam. I've read a couple articles reporting its a scam - from having the app even on your phone, not being a good idea to how bad they run their company (treat workers etc). I haven't heard/read good things about Temu not long after it was all Hyped up. 😕
You know your phone is probably made by workers in similar conditions👀
Temu is literally turning into shein 😟
I'm an older woman so I've got uneven skin texture and coloring. This video makes me feel so much better. I appreciate that you don't criticize the woman in the video because trashing each other shouldn't make people feel better. Thank you so much for all of your positive videos.
Stephanie, you have no idea how much your videos have meant to me these past couple of years! In high school, I was so insecure about my acne and textured skin that I would wear foundation every single day. Now, I very rarely wear any makeup when I leave the house. Thank you for all you've done for me and all the other young women you've helped ❤️
Same here with wearing a full face every day to school. It was the 80’s when I was in high school so it’s not like I stood out in doing this, but it was SO bad for my skin. Now at 53, I save the glam for date nights with the husband and my skin looks great, so I’ve been told 😉
@Sassysickchick thats amazing! I honestly don't like wearing foundation anymore and it's amazing
I get that everybody needs to make a living, but I must say I was not expecting this channel to show ads for Temu! That being said, fantastic video.
Do people really still believe these celebrities and “influencers” look like this in real life?
And I agree with the comments about Temu. I really wish people would stop promoting them and Shein. Please look into these companies. They’re horrible! There was recently a big investigation with Shein and the lethal amount of chemicals found on their clothing.
Please don't promote Temu
Such a horrible company
In all honesty, these famous women and influencers really just look like normal average women in real life just like the rest of the world. They really look no different than the average lil mom or housewife you would see in the grocery store.... ❤
Thank you! Im 35 and i thought i am the only one of earth having huge pores. All the girls i see in real life truly have glass skin, i always have an urge to come up and ask them about their skin care routine.
Follow your spirit, ask whoever whatever you want, it will take you to the next level! Life begins outside of your comfort zone 😉💛🪶✨
Genetics I think
Don't apply anything to your skin, other than a good cleanser that you wash OFF. Skin needs to breath and pours open larger when there is a layer of crap sitting ontop
@@kseniaskrynnik8216exactly. My skincare routine is just: wash my face in the morning and evening and it works for me because my grandma has good skin. So it's in my dna. I don't get much pimples or acne but my skin tone is uneven and i have visible small veins, probably couperosa.
I also hate when people say "shrink your pores" as if big pores are horrible, and it's IMPOSSIBLE to shrink your pores. There's only ways to make them appear smaller lol like we NEED pores, why are people mean about it?
Please don't cooperate with Temu :(
I'm 26 about to turn 27 and lately I have been freaking out because I've been noticing my smile lines (SMILE LINES!!! that you get from smiling and being happy!). For a few weeks now I've been searching pictures of celebs that are my age and all I see is flawless skin, no pores, no wrinkles, nothing, and it makes my anxiety sky rocket like crazy. So, even though deep down I know I cannot and should not compare myself to celebrities that have more money than me, I still really appreciate this video for showing me that we're all human beings and our "flaws" are natural and beautiful. 💗
Just wait until jowls start
It just means you're happy and have a joyous life!💕
Temu rip off crafty businesses, steal designs and sell them for 90% less the price than the small business owner. Other than that I love your videos as always x
I'm also so disappointed with this temu ad... I understand you want to monetize, I get it, really, but temu..??? 😢 with slave work, unethical tactics, security wholes (or maybe even malicious bugs placed on purpose) in application making their users being vulnerable targets for privacy violation, monopolising market snd selling total crap - like really how can normalising beaty standards and peopke wellbeing go hand in hand with what temu does? And I want to highlight that I absolutely adore the work you're doing here!!! ❤
Girl....why are you promoting Temu?? You can do better than that.
Please do not promote Temu 😩😩😩😩
As someone who has had acne for over 10 years, this was so refreshing for my mental health! Thank you Stephanie!
Getty Images be out there doing the “Lord’s Work “ 😂 exposing celebrities and normalizing unfiltered , truly natural and imperfectly perfect human skin.
Lmao 😂😂😂😂
I have a friend from Nigeria and she has naturally perfect skin. Her face literally looks airbrushed and smooth with no pores. I've met some of her family and friends from Nigeria and they all have gorgeous skin. Yes, there are people who have naturally perfect skin and it's ok to admit that. It doesn't mean we have to hate ourselves because someone has something we don't have. Everyone just needs to appreciate what they have.
I'm one that has gorgeous skin. People think i have on makeup, but no. It's my genes
I imagine there are going to be many people in the comments saying Temu is bad, I don’t trust them because I’ve watched several videos exposing the company for being shady and unethical. Sucks but 🤷🏻♀️ I recently stopped wearing foundation/face makeup- I still do my eye makeup because it’s my favorite but I used to be so insecure about my redness and oily skin. Cutting that out of my routine is easier and much less time consuming!
I switched to a tinted spf and use that as my only foundation.
Get into skin care . Vitamin c and retinols if you have great skin you won’t need makeup it’s consistency and patience ❤
funny thing is I avoid foundation like the plague because it actually is inherently damaging to the skin imo. don't be surprised if your skin improves without it :) I especially love Korean origin makeup because they use moisturizer and blur effect in their products instead of full heavy coverage
I use tinted moisturizer. I’ve never liked foundation. I think it causes premature aging. I’m 37 but look like a college student. I think it’s bc I don’t wear foundation and only use all natural products.🤷🏼♀️

Temu is just another wish. Bad quality, overproduced and probably made by children or women in inhumane conditions

I don't think I realised how much this skin texture scam we live inside affected me until I remembered how I used to feel as a 21 year old learning how to do my makeup, and feeling like I was constantly doing it 'wrong' because makeup never looked smooth and buttery on my skin the way it did on beauty guru's skin on CZcams. I don't know if you've made a video on this already, but as of a few years ago, people are now getting their tear-troughs filled. I've always had prominent tear troughs though others seem to refer to them as 'dark circles' or 'eye bags'. They're neither...it's literally your skeleton + the distribution of fat in your face. I have very full cheeks too which makes them even more prominent on me. Makes me sad to see that women are now getting injections into their undereyes (which must hurt like hell) to erase them.
Yikes. Not temu!!! 😢😢😢😢😢
5 surgical scars, one is eight inches long. I’ve lost 40 pounds, and now have stretch marks and cellulite. But I feel the most beautiful ever because I am happy to be alive. Love your body, it’s getting you through. You’ll be amazed what it can do.🌸🌸🌸

Sorry hon, but Temu is just a cheap Chinese brand, like the brand "Shein", which I can't support. That doesn't mean I can't support you though 😊
I'd hate to continuously see myself airbrushed, just looking in the mirror would be traumatic, knowing I'll NEVER resemble those "ideal" pictures. It must be so sad to be in that headspace 😢
As always, a very informative and inspirational video, thank you!
Love ya guts 💚💙💚💙💚
I am 27 and just looked in the mirror today and closely looked at my pores, skin texture and acne dents. I was so ashamed (always have been) for being broken I guess? I felt so down and always do. I don’t even want people seeing my face in the sunlight because it Highlights my texture and I feel so insecure about it- and even envy celebrities who have porcelain skin and wonder what I am doing wrong. Then I saw this. Thank you.
❤❤Yes i love these videos too
Looks like a lot of my fave bloggers promoting Temu. It's like Established Titles all over again.
I really needed to see this today. I looked in the mirror today and all I could see was pores, redness, old acne scars, and of course, wrinkles. I’m 40 and starting to feel like I’m old and way past my prime. Thank you for reminding me that I’m just a normal person and there’s no reason to stress as much as I do ❤

Stephanie Thank you so much ❤️❤️ this I needed today for my mental health been judging my face and myself so hard and it's nice to see that everyone is human and no one looks airbrushed perfect 🌺
Stephanie, I am so grateful for your videos, I find it so refreshing that you want to bring awareness and make people stop feeling so anxious about their skin texture, which leads them to try and hide it, when it´s a natural fact which doesn´t take from their natural beauty and indeed doesn´t make them any less beautiful, but as you say, more human, thank you so much for wanting to normalize this
Your smiling face in the "daylight" clip though, i love seeing smile lines, they just look charismatic. ❤❤
Steph, you are my real life beauty queen! I've finally seen reality of life and beauty in your videos.
Stephanie, you should start a movement promoting real looking models! To me, uniqueness is huge when it comes to a being a model. If natural beauty is covered up and filtered, there is no uniqueness nor honesty. The models all begin looking alike.
Seeing more of these and regular people on tiktok talking about insecurities beautifully saved me and my mindset when i was younger I actually loved how we all related so i don’t feel alienated
thank you! when I first started getting into makeup years ago I only saw airbrushed skin and literally thought that was normal and I was broken. this video is so important in the age of airbrush and filters!
Omg i love this!! You are making such a big difference in this shallow world where we all need to learn to love ourselves now more than ever!❤
Stephanie you have beautiful skin
I once asked a CZcamsr if they’re using a filter or something since in that video their face and legs looked so good like Barbie skin. She said no we don’t. Which later I’ve realized it’s a lie. But for a while I thought, wow! These two girls are beyond lucky for such skin!

i am glad these videos exist, thank you. i get quite insecure about my skin texture and bumps... but this helps me so much. Sometimes we forget that we are just humanss nothing more :)
Thank you Stephanie for sharing the truth about filters used on social medial education of reality is the key nowadays!
Thank u for this. I felt so frustrated seeing i lost weight in my face my smile lines have become more prominent and beeen so self conscious with lighting but seeing a lot of these models do too makes me feel better
Eat more fatty foods (avocado, peanuts, natural cheese) and it gets better believe me I also have prominent nasolabial folds but eating that made it at least a little bit better
This video made me feel so much better about myself, I'm so insecure about my uneven skin tone but I never really noticed that it's just totally normal and people around me have it too I was just so focused on how those perfect people look I thought I had a skin problem when I didn't at all!

I remember seeing one of ur first videos on this topic and being shocked that celebrities had skin texture. I’m glad u are making awareness because it affects all of us but isn’t shown enough in media. ✨✨
Steph, thank you for educating me over the past few years. Thanks to the efforts you put into your videos. I'm only 27 and struggled with this insecurity since i was 11. I didnt dare to leave the house or see people without a full face of makeup to hide my "hideous mega pores" and scars. I would cry and panic when someone even *mentioned* the pores on my nose or the scars on my shoulders and cheek.
I started slowly decreasing my makeup usage, especially the heavy skin smothering foundations. I realised that my dark eye circles arent a "me problem" but an expectation vs reality issue.
I also realised that all my favourite influencers/idols were using filters and Photoshop, and lying straight to their audience that their "flawless skin" was natural and unedited. It wasnt flawless skin; it was flawed deception. Having skin with texture doesnt make a person ugly or unworthy. It makes a person a human.
I eventually learned to accept my face as it is, not be obsessed with IG body/skin goals and recognizing that pores/texture have an important function. Such as lubricating the skin, heat reduction & being a protective layer.
Now, since about a year, i easily leave home with a bare face without any shame.
I care for my skin with proper skincare products, and only use makeup on when im feeling artsy. I wish all those influencers were more honest about this; using filters isnt wrong. But (unintentionally) deceiving others and praising unreachable standards IS wrong. Theres nothing better than showing a fanbase there's still real humanity left in the IG/modelling world! 💜✨
You don’t even know how much I needed to this is at this very moment. Like honestly! Especially during my retinol uglies lol
It's not just skin texture I love seeing how human looking these celebs are when not in perfect flattering lighting, like the way the whole skin structure isn't sculpted to the face but instead it has creases folds lines that captured at a bad angle and lighting can make us all feel a bit insecure, but ultimately we all have that affect.
I love your honesty
Pinterest is bad for me. I research a hairstyle, every photo is heavily 'shopped. I get insecure. I just don't go on the website. Thanks for your work, seriously!!
Of all the videos you post this one probably helped my mental state the most. I KNOW in my little brain that no one is a perfect barbie doll and IG photos are the best of that person and edited to hell and back. HOWEVER I still to this day felt like my skin was crap because i have "huge" pores and breakouts and that i just haven't found the right products or i dont know how to properly use makeup. But seeing all those gorgeous women with makeup on in NORMAL light and not edited having the same skin as me just took a weight almost off my shoulders
Thank you for saving my self esteem! 💕 love you sm!
