Holy shit that was creepy. Scary. I got goosebumps each time Regulus' voice distorted. But also hypnotizing. I just laid in my bed listening and felt like I couldn't move. Not to mention the subtle beats and music in the background. Just. Wow. Amazing. But scary.

This is some of your best writing and audio work, Erik. I know the more harrowing characters don't always accrue views, but I hope you're proud of your work here. I'm a big fan of this character, even just as a side story. This feels the most...realized version of him. The overwhelming "love" is just as strong, but the horror is dialed up really well. I think it's what you did with the more aggressive, almost alien vocal layering.

This was TERRIFYING. I am still so genuinely in awe of this audio that I can't even organize my thoughts into anything coherent but GOD. This was incredible and sinister and dark and I am LOVING the genuine *horror* of it.
The vocal distortion with the anger legitimately made me gasp out loud and the *END.* The imagery about stars and space and gravity gave me chills.
"I have to hurt you to help you. I have to *break* you to build you. I have to love you so much that you *snap under the weight of it.*"

Erik always does so well no matter what character he's playing, but I've found that in the most recent videos (Geordi's separation audio till now) he's been doing especially well, and seeing him go from good to great to incredible in the last 3 ish years has been an incredible experience that i am absolutely honored to have
wow, this script is just insane! incredible. this storyline is so sad- a relationship completely erased, intense manipulation, a life twisted and taken away from them (2 times), and the listener can’t even see it anymore. this captivity is sort of similar to the ivan deal, but WAY more straightforward and intense coming from regulus. truly an underrated character here- I feel like we have so much more to learn about him. remarkably horrifying yet so intriguing

Regulus slowly becoming more deranged as time goes on is so interesting to see. How far an empathy daemon can fall to the point of comparing to Vega in terms of manipulation.
No matter how perfect he tries to replace the memory it will always have cracks because he isn't actually doing it for the betterment of his charge but for himself. These cracks are what cause him more distress when he feels the listener remembering things.
People mentioning Cam trying to fix this person before but. Cam can fix a lot of things. The problem is. If the fractures are hairline then he won't be able to find them and try to fix them until the entire vessel (the listener) is so fragile from all the cracks and they shatter.
A psychological break is often depicted as rage or crying. There are breaks however that make you go numb. Imagine being a D(a)emon who thrives on emotions and you go up to someone you know expecting to feel a gambit of complex thoughts and feelings. Only to be met with a blank stare and a void where there should be something.. No Anger, No Sadness, No hurting, No Anxiety, No Happiness.. Just a grey void with nothing in it.
Oh. You can try to fill it back up. Expend your energy trying to put memories and feelings back into the space. But it won't work. Like trying to plug a leak at the bottom of a swimming pool that's supposed to be full. Except it's not a slow leak and the hole is too big. Anything you put in. Just gets washed away the second you stop trying to fill it.

All my senses are still riding, what feels like a merry-go-round, trying to find the right place to stop, get off the ride. Even though, the ride is pulling you in, wanting to enjoy it, you are forgetting everything else around you. The innocence of the merry-go-round shifts, becoming more and more distorted, finding it harder to stop, get off the ride. Every single word spoken, I felt being pulled in deeper, with intent but also something so broken.
This script, every single word felt like falling down, not being able to reach solid ground, feel rooted. Dangerously so, it felt like a delicious intoxication of the mind, rushing through the senses again and again. The images painted in my mind’s eye, when the memories start to be altered, I see them going from black and white, slowly color being added in, but as the desperation comes through, the edges of the memory start to burn, sepia tone. The color wanting to desperately dominate, feel and look more vibrant. The images still feel wrong, broken, the distortion escalates.
How terrifying not to be able to trust your memories, the stars in the sky or even the light shining on your path. I am in awe of the brilliance of the writing, the voice acting, the editing-the whole audio. Tapping into this mindset from a creative safe space is empowering to me. The battle of the psyche to take in what makes sense, understand the underlying tones, slithering like a snake, becoming lost in what are supposed to be comforting words of love, but instead are laced in the desire to own, possess. On this ride, this journey, the snake bite injects enough poison for one to fall into the temptation and say, “I’m yours”, in return.
You’re amazing, Erik. I don’t believe I can ever express enough gratitude for how your work makes me feel. Your creativity continues to grow and manifest in ways that are out of this world. It’s exhilarating! Thank you for everything you do, always.

this was seriously one of the best scripts you have ever written and the sound design was absolutely STUNNING. i am beyond impressed by this and also im gonna listen to it like a freak of nature because dear god i need to run science experiments on him. every time a new video is announced for him im on the edge of my seat excited to see where his story will go next, and this was such a beautiful continuation and contrast to the soothing nature of his last video :o excellent work, dude, you have a gift for creepy things that is UNPARALLELED and im so happy i get to support you!

Audio horror has always been something that shouldn't scare me as much as a should, yet it does. I find this video to be a very good example of that, especially considering that this isn't necessarily what seem people would even imagine audio horror to be. There's a dark psychological aspect to Regulus' obsession that I've always found to be a bit creepy, way more than I think Ivan could've ever been.
Ever since the beginning, Regulus has always seemed to have this upper hand on the listener, being so entangled in their mind to an incredibly toxic point of being. And now, with their memories actually being altered under his control, to the point of reality and fantasy blending in so seamlessly? It's fucking creepy in the BEST possible way and the voice layers and demanding tone in Regulus' voice is simple amazing. You have absolutely outdone yourself with this video and I honestly cannot wait to see what comes next ❤

Bend and bend and break. God this is my personal hell. Especially since the Listener had healed from Regulus and has some proper armor now. Of course they're not an easy target of his manipulation anymore.
That was absolutely horrifying. I expected it to be unnerving, sure, but that was downright terrifying. Every distortion of the vocals made me jump, the constant repetition of "mine" throughout the entire thing was so unsettling, and the audio in the background really cemented the entire experience. And the character work? Phenomenal. Regulus has always been the most intimidating villain in the Redactedverse for me, and this definitely reaffirmed that. Amazing writing, amazing acting, and amazing editing. Just all-around spectacular. Now if you'll excuse me I'm gonna go listen to some Camelopardalis because hoo buddy do I need it.

i was so used to regulus' low voice that it gave me the chills when it became deeper
i am surprised at how much i actually enjoyed this. this character is incredibly creepy and harrowing but he's written SO well and the balance between actually scary and like... dangerously sweet-seeming is so well handled! i am seriously,,, intrigued??? which is kinda out of character for me lol, like this guy feels so different than, for example, Ivan, who was also pretty creepy but Ivan mostly just made me uncomfortable and gave me the ick. Regulus however... definitely uncomfortable, definitely VERY scary... _and yet._
Yooooo- I adore how creepy this is, because it’s so unique. He feels set apart from other “yandere” characters because his nature as an empathy daemon so deeply informs his approach. WHAT he is bleeds seamlessly into his goals, his references, his turns of phrase, the actions he is capable of doing and willing to do…. It’s just good worldbuilding and character-work.
It’s especially unsettling for him to employ cosmic euphemism just like other characters (Gavin, Avior, Elliott), but to such a different effect. He twists something that used to represent a place of ultimate safety and beauty for Listener characters into a place of serenity under HIS terms and open to the whims of his power. He genuinely seeks peace for the Listener, but it comes out all wrong.
What I especially find interesting about his rewriting of memories in this scenario is that human brains mess with memory already. In order to cope with trauma or a painful experience, a person may experience various forms of memory loss. It makes so much sense for Regulus to take over this function, because he CAN and he’s doing it for what he seems to truly believe are all the right reasons. And unlike Ivan, Regulus is innately able to perceive and regulate -ahaha- his prisoner’s genuine feelings. He is definitely succeeding in making them feel good about what is happening at least SOME of the time, which adds more murkiness to the Listener’s understanding of the situation and their own ability to consent.
Let’s not even get into how cool it is when his voice begins to distort- cause, yeah, he’s not human. And he is basking more deeply in his nature than almost any other d(a)emon we’ve met (except perhaps Vega?), so it’s getting this increasingly primal/feral tint. Wicked stuff.

Regulus was the first one of your characters I got obsessed with, small as his series is so far, and you don't disappoint! This listener is so, so fucked. If they're ever rescued, they're gonna need So Much Therapy. That first moment of distortion had me flopping around and flailing. Regulus is changing into a different being altogether, by taking what he was born as to the absolute extreme, and it's a fascinating thing to explore, and scary as shit. Bravo.

So I am a really, really big fan of the yandere trope and these are so well written. I get so tired of the "crazy yandere wielding a weapon" yandere trope- it's good but that's usually what people go to. The psychological manipulation that he uses is so gentle and loving and SCARY. I love it so much. 😍
This is my favorite character. From day 1 you dropped his audio. I hope more people can see the layered connections and meticulous attention to detail that goes into creating a character for an audio that leans into the ritual of manifesting things to power with intentional speech.

I can't lie, I am a huge Regulus fan. He's just so delulu! 😭
There's something in the way regulus is comparing the memory of the listener's boyfriend to a star that gets to me. The listener's boyfriend is their starlight. This also gets me a little worried for avior's starlight. But i love how stars are mentioned on the channel. From the characters names to the listener, or the sweet moments like when David's says "the stars are pretty but i like looking at you better" to regulus's horrifying take on it or avior's and starlight's hope. But just like regulus said stars are decieving, just a memory, just like how avior's hope eventually dimmed and almost died out when he made his last desperate attempt and brought back starlight. I love how you can see similarities between two unrelated stories and their characters. This makes me very worried about starlight though, the only reason I was calm before was we didn't hear echo make some ominous threat but now with this video I am worried again.
Damn it I came here to be terrorised by regulus not over analyse the significance of stars in the redactverse.

This has to be my fav series you've made. ofc mostly due to my fucked up tastes in entertainment but also due to the way this has been made. I absolutely adore the layered voice and the way his speaking mannerisms make it clear he wants you to understand what hes saying. It's something so pleasant. Not to even mention the ear to ear actual 3d audio? so so tasty. Like this has been a treat for sure. I would love to see more but I can also understand if it'd be difficult to craft up more content for him ^^

If this was real, it would be truly terrifying, but because I know it's not, I don't even care how creepy it gets, I just love this character so much. The whole concept, the way it's written and performed, the audio effects having some of my favorite ASMR triggers like layering, side to side and anticipation... It _is_ perfect, for me.
Can we appreciate the metaphor of the past being a dead star and our memories being the light travelling through space to us even after its death like woahh

holy shit that was creepy asf, I loved it soooo much. the storyline, the voice acting, the emotion behind your voice, the sheer infatuation and obsession Regulus has with the listener which can be seen every time he says *mine* The writing is absolutely chilling, the subtle nuances which lay out the unknown depths he could probably go to inorder to fulfill his obsession is absolutely crazy!
