I’ll come clean as well- I didn’t tear up or cry during Inversion, as tragic as it may have been. I did, however, literally cry when Avior was explaining how alone he felt watching Starlight slip through his fingers without him. Ouch..

Words cannot express how amazingly heartbreaking and complex Avior is. Not just as a character on this channel, but Avior is one of the most unique characters I have ever come across. Thank you Redacted for creating a character that makes us feel.

I want to comment, but I’m like - reeling. The- the implications on everything before this and the consequences of his decisions…. Starlight just GOING FOR IT SENT ME - and the way he asked so soft,“what are you doing??” The ending cliffy- I am so broken. This is so complicating and painful. I love it.
All I can think about are those hundreds of marks on the wall he made and how now they mean every day he spent without them, and how much lonelier it must have been since he HAD them at first, and how many times he must have gone back to that window in the meridian to watch them and missed them. Or how it hit him when they looked at him again, after all that time, with just no love in them: not even recognition. Or how so many of his answers were the theorizing done and discoveries made together?? Or how he gave up all his magic to save them the first time. Or- the kith- Or- Okay, there’s a lot to think about here and my heart is OUcH. This is terribly wonderful
Avior with his arrogance and sarcasm endeared worked his way into my heart rather quickly. Hearing the whole story and the pain he's had to endure everyday makes me love him even more. The fact the Meridian is actively working to merge with Starlight is terrifying because of all the unanswered questions that raises. God, this is just so good. (Also hearing Avior say "my Starlight will never not get to me)
It definitely feels like the Meridian is basically an eldritch monster after this video, it's quite literally trying to eat Starlight. In a weird way, forcing Avior to watch Starlight so he'd bring them back feels like the Meridian's equivalent of an anglerfish - I'm so curious about how the Weavers play into all this.

Are we sure that Starlight is 100% (empowered) human? Because humans *can’t rift.* Period. There is no way this should have been possible. And I mean they have a special connection to magic that’s unlike any other human. I still think they are like part Weaver or something. (Also if that is true I want them to get the title Tailor)
Also super random but the meridian reminds me so much of the Crystal in Disney Atlantis (such an underrated movie). Like it is their energy source or even life source. It learns, thinks and has a conscience. And you know *it selected someone special to merge with!*

Oh wow. That was intense. My poor baby Avior. I was expecting a massive lore dump on what was happening but holy macaroni. I didn't think we would get that kind of confession in terms of his feelings. I didn't think I could love Avior anymore than I already did, I was wrong. Thank you this was beautiful and heartbreaking. I guess it's time to go through Avior's playlist again.

Oooh, amnesiac lovers... NGL, in real life this would absolutely _terrify_ me, being told that this huge chunk of my memory was just _gone_ and having to work with someone who I didn't remember meeting... anything that fucked with my mind like that would scare me so freaking badly. And Avior having to work with us, trying to suppress what he felt for us... jesus. Literally for the last half of the video I just wanted to hug him so friggin' badly. AND THE FREAKIN' CLIFFHANGER- *_AGAIN-_*
On the bright side (for a given value of "bright"), knowing that time moves way faster in Dante's Escape Room than it does in in Elegy and Aria does mean that there won't be any "they got sucked in pre-Inversion and escaped post-Inversion and found out all their friends are dead" type of shock. (Assuming that the time-dilation effect is an always-on thing and not just the Meridian/a Sovereign kicking it into gear strictly to torment Avi.)
Lesse, Avi mentions feeding off of "the Meridian's" energy, and that "the Meridian" wanted Starlight for whatever reason, and apparently only took notice when they opened a gap big enough to get out. CloseKnit says that d(a)emons used to feed off of energy from "the Weavers," the creators of d(a)emonkind, and that these "Weavers" were supposedly sealed in the Meridian (from which, presumably, they would want to get out). The Imperium also mentions d(a)emonkind's creators, the "Sovereigns," and also states that they were a source of energy for d(a)emons and had been sealed away after the Cacophony. Avior may attribute the whole "sucked my S.O. into the Meridian and stole their memories when I pulled them out and made me watch them for two years until I caved and brought them back" thing to the Meridian itself, but I think we all know what (if not necessarily _who)_ really did all that.
Edit: Just occurred to me... Wasn't Blake's friend described as the curious/inquisitive type, too? Whom Blake wanted to join CloseKnit because of their powers? Could very well be that they had been following him to try and discuss the whole "cult" thing when he and Avi had their little scuffle. Plus, the time dilation effect means that this series could easily be dropped into another plotline at any point without messing with chronology. (On the other hand, you'd think that Starlight would've shown some recognition regarding "a dreamwalker who recently joined CloseKnit" when he brought it up the first ((second?)) time around. That, and it's still up in the air if Starlight really does have an unusual connection to the Meridian or if that was just more B.S. on Avior's behalf.)

There were so many theories and guesses about what happened with this storyline and I could NEVER have guessed that this was what had happened. So many creators try to make shocking twists happen, and they're always so forced, but this? This is what a plot twist is supposed to be. Both shocking AND clarifying.
I always say this, but you're an incredible storyteller and I'm so grateful that you continue to create this amazing content.
But I still hope you step in a wet spot while wearing socks for that cliffhanger. 💜

This tore my heart apart in more ways than I could've ever imagined. The hurt and pain in his voice when he says that he had loved them two years ago, loves them two years later that, and he loves them now. Starlight just *going for it* despite not knowing the full story. Avior finding his words with difficulty, the anguish he expressed when telling them that the time crawled in his scape where he would look at Star every day, willing himself to keep you safe, but eventually caving to his own desire to have them back and vowing to keep them safe. The guilt he felt in lying to Star. The crying.
Erik, can I please have some superglue? My heart's in a million pieces and I need to very patiently stick the shards back together. But no worries. Time is everything we have, in the Meridian.
So my previous theories about this being related to the Balance storyline are somewhat confirmed. I will be dumping a huge load of theories and facts I've gathered about this entire storyline and its possible correlations with the other storylines on RedactedASMR, big big big spoilers ahead.
*Facts:*
- Blake is the Dreamwalker who trapped Avior in the Meridian for 2 years.
- The first time Starlight got trapped in the Meridian, it was an accident.
- The second time was to fulfill Avior's wish to not be alone any longer.
- The Meridian takes memories.
- Starlight has no memories of the time they spent together with Avior inside the Meridian after they were expelled from it by Avior's magic.
- Avior fell in love with Starlight after their first trip into the Meridian. Starlight returned those feelings.
- However, losing those memories meant that Starlight did not remember Avior, let alone loving him at all.
- Meridian Time passes quicker than Elegy time. (The Prime Meridian, located at 0 degrees longitude, is the line that splits the world into two hemispheres - just like how the Magical Meridian splits the world into one for D(a)emons and one for Humans)
- 2 years in the Meridian equate to barely a few minutes in Elegy time. (might I even say, 1Em = 1My; Em: Elegy minutes; My: Meridian years; 1 Elegy minute = 1 Meridian year)
- Avior lied to Starlight to protect them, but everything is going the same again and again and he cannot find a way to keep the only person he loved and yearned for so much, watching them through a window in a magical plane, safe from the magic that draws them into the trap once again.
- The playlist of Avior's videos start from the 2nd time Starlight was pulled in. That was why Avior was labelled as "Sarcastic" - that was his wall to protect himself.
- It starts to crumble at "Demon Tends to Your Injuries" where Avior is obviously more soft spoken and tender, and the "sarcastic" is gone from his title.
- Later, in "Comforted by your Demon" he also tries to put us to sleep, (possibly testing if this was a dream) but the sleep ends up triggering the memories coming back from the Meridian, and him feeling their emotions Starlight felt while experiencing a weird case of Deja Vu revealed to him that his plan was starting to unravel.
- This made him defensive as he tried to think of a way to recover, but as the memories kept coming back, Starlight was gaining a perspective on what their past might have been like, 2 minutes, or 2 years ago.
- The dream sequences: "No... Don't go... I love you Starlight... You can't have them!... Starlight please..." and a few kisses
- The descriptions of the past few videos: "Starlight, Star Bright" (referencing one of Vega's thumbnail texts? "Starlight, Star Bright, worst Star I see tonight, Wish I may, Which I might, Vega swears that he won't bite"); "space may be cold, but the stars are warm" (Starlight is his warmth in the void that is his Hellscape); "It's not Linear" (well TIL that it was in fact, not linear. the playlist isn't linear); "It's only a paper moon" (referencing to an old song that lyrics meant: "it's not make believe as long as someone believes in it", So if Starlight, in the next installment of this series, chooses to believe Avior, it won't be a made-up scenario, and they'll slowly recover from their magic-induced amnesia and fall in love with Avior all over again)
God better hopes that they fall in love with him. Like to hell Avior would let them go. Their relationship is and will be one of my favourites forever - the path they took to find each other again and again is so unique and traumatizing and taxing, they will cherish each other like it's their life mission to protect each other.
okay, that's enough yearning.
*Theories:*
- The Meridian wants Starlight (a freelancer), who could possibly be a descendant of a Weaver.
- The Window in the Meridian has its weave broken in order to maintain that open window to torment Avior.
- The broken "net" weave is the threads that Elliott and Sunshine are looking for to hold onto and hopefully fix.
- The Meridian takes memories, just like the River keeps all the memories of those who pass through it.
- Could the River be a part of the Meridian, since they both have the ability to collect memories and give them back?
- Could the dead on Elegy re-coalesce as D(a)emons in Aria and adopt the personality of the dead human, but not their memories?
- If the River were theoretically a part of the Meridian, would Avior and Starlight's repeated attempts at escaping be at the root of the cause of the Imbalance between Life and Death, which allowed the River to Flow Both Ways and deliver Shades from Death onto Elegy through another "rip" in the Meridian's weave, creating the Inversion?
- If that were the case, then the countdown to the Inversion would make a lot of sense since *time* was of the essence throughout the Inversion Arc, the Balance Storyline, and in Avior's Hellscape where 2 years equated to less than 10 minutes on Elegy.
- Time, Memories, Weavers, the Meridian, D(a)emonic Magic, Elegy, Aria, Closeknit, are the basic players in this race against "Who Can Make It There First? The Inchoate and his Lover, The Dreamwalker, his Partner, and a Deathwalker, or the Dreamwalker and His Cult?"
- Secondary characters that are affected by this storyline could be everyone involved in the Inversion. (The Shifters, the Solaires, the DAMN family)
- The Meridian is like a mesh net, since Avior could still get his energy back after his fall. The Meridian was supplying him with the magic he needed through the other side of itself - Aria.
- Closeknit is doing everything they can to stop the Dreamwalker couple from fixing the Meridian, so that Blake can keep them shut on the other side.
- If the hole in the Meridian closed after Star came back into the Meridian, do the Threads still show?
- What is the cause of the imbalance? Is it the mixture of demon and dreamwalker magic? having two magical beings trapped inside of the Meridian? Is the Dreamscape blocking the flow of of magic?
- Why does the Meridian want Star? Does it think it can fix the hole in the Meridian?
I also find it very interesting that the Meridian, at first a rather inanimate thing in the magical world that allows magical beings to pass through one plane to another. However, now that the Meridian has been described to have wants and thoughts and a collection of memories, and it's apparent sadistic intentions of watching Avior suffer through watching the love if his life through a window he created, then making him do the thing he didn't want to do the most - bring them in and use them to fuse the Meridian - makes the Meridian more animated, like an actual character that has no sound, no speech, no lines, no form. (However, if you consider the voices from Death during the Inversion, that could be an imagination of the Meridian's voice, if it could have one.)
It's scary as well as intriguing at the same time, but I like to take risks, and I need to know what happens next!!

To add to your theory!! The Meridian could possibly be a mere tool and somebody or something is controlling it. Usually in these plot twists, even if Redacted asmr plots are quite unique, the tool for everyone can be the tool of the antagonist. And if so, who? Another weaver?? I just don’t think something as used as the Meridian exactly has a mind, seeing as it is travelled through and used and poked everyday. But this is a theory with many holes. For one, how do we know weavers are a thing if we heard it from close knit? Another point is I still think the Meridian is ALIVE if it can heal itself and whatnot so it could be doing all of this. I perceive the Meridian as more like a plant though, serves its basic purpose but doesn’t really have a conscious as far we know, nothing other than basic instructions coded into it. Plants certainly don’t have the mind for evil, which strengthens my hive mind theory (if u get my reference) BUT again, like venus fly traps, living things need to feed on something. The meridian could be trying to eat Starlight up since, as we’ve heard from the latest project Meridian episode (Lol episode:D) the Meridian IS falling so it could be looking for something to sustain itself. Is it because starlight’s human and had lifeforce?? I dunno. Is it because they’re weavers? Take a gander. But it seems as though the Meridian was a huge shade or maybe something from death. Maybe it IS death or the passage to that realm. Which leads me down another rabbit hole to discover. When the threads were discovered or the shades popped out of death, BTW INVERSION SPOILS is that what made the Meridian weaker?? Were threads holding it together?? What if the meridian isnt a medium in between 2 dimensional planes but instead 3??? Death, elegy, and Aria?? Maybe even more, because I find most stories like putting in an even number of mediums lol. WELP I’ll lead the rest to the other theorists, have fun! I might just update this two cuz my Mile-a-minute brain has a few more miles to go before reaching said destination. Have a lovely rant

@@kkiaera2943 hollllyyyy crap three planes would be absolutely CRAZY?? I haven’t watched any of Love and Marcus’s story since I’m not a fan of yanderes, but goddamn if I wasn’t missing out on it?? I haven’t been in the best mental place to listen to the darker gaslighting/fighting episodes from Blake and Elliott,,, so I need to catch up. But honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if there were 3 planes involved-the Council in Aria would def be involved in the future of the Inversion arc, and Elegy and Death are definitely major players.
The Meridian feels like something without a consciousness and the only thing that allows it to heal itself is like the “laminar flow” of magic within it that just closes up. There’s something disrupting the laminar flow and hence it’s broken, and needs Star to fix it?
If there was another Weaver controlling the Meridian, using it as a tool, who would it be? Who could it be? There are no obvious signs in any of the characters that there’s something sketchy about them.
Weavers are talked about in length at the close knit meeting, if I remember correctly? They were also mentioned by several of the D(a)emons on the channel, though I can’t remember exactly who.
I don’t know what’s making the Meridian weak. Maybe it’s the increased use in magic at the Games, which would lightly support the theory that whoever was controlling it could’ve lost control of it since the magic was fluctuating so much. Or the Meridian just couldn’t handle the fluctuations combined with two magical beings trapped in itself, and allowed Death to rip it apart and spill out onto Elegy. (Going by the theory that the River is part of the Meridian)
In that case, if one section of the barrier is broken, would that significantly decrease the strength of the separation between Aria and Elegy on the other end? Would the Demonic plane and Elegy struggle to maintain that balance, the equilibrium of magic? If Aria spilled out into Elegy, or vice versa, it would be the apocalypse. No empowered or unempowered will survive. Only the D(a)emons will.
What I envision the three-way barrier between the planes to look like:

Oh my gosh, Erik, this one was AMAZING. The special effects, avior's visceral pain and emotions, the clear struggle he has. It brings my heart so much joy- this was so well executed, full of so many emotions and its so clear how much he loves starlight and would sacrifice for them
"....and it broke my fucking heart" - I felt those words so deep down. good gaia, this is brilliant erik. what a masterpiece of beauty and sadness 💜
erik’s brain is insane. it baffles me how someone can come up with such in depth story lines like these.
One, I'm crying from how sweet yet heartbreaking this audio was. Two, I might understand how they get out. If you remember, Avior mentioned how when they both reached into the meridian, nothing happened but the second starlight did it alone, it tried to pull them in. I think what they have to do is both of them have to reach in at the same time with Avior holding onto Starlight's wrist while they pump magic into the meridian. The feeling of Starlight pumping magic might trick the meridian into pulling them both through and Avior can complete his rift and hopefully pull them both back into Elegy. Just an idea though.
also the fact that Avior could have just never told Starlight what truly happened and let them believe the dreams were just dreams but made the executive decision not to is very sweet and shows how much he truly does care about them.
AHHH TRUE but if he tried go grab Starlight back and pushed Avior away, it might be able to do the same thing, or they could just both get swallowed by the meridian instead of going home. Erik may just work something out though lol- but my question is why does it not want Avior? Are demons like unable to feed the meridian? I’m kinda sure it has something to do with the fact that starlight weaves into the meridian but what does it want them for?? Oh god..if I find out this is connected to Death’s shades (which it prob is) I am evaporating and looking for a way to get into redsctedverse

Wow! What a confession! Is such a fantastic storyline. There was so much rich imagery in Avior's recount of what happened between them and it gave the Starlight nickname so much more depth. To hear how Avior tried to protect them before he ultimately gave up and pulled Starlight back in...wow! It gave him so much character. Absolutely wonderful video. I think this is one of my new favorites!
Currently sobbing over the fact that Avior had to hide his pain over losing Starlight the first time and pretend to just be a stranger to them when he pulled them back in,,,,, I'm in pain now too dammit

Starlights relationship to the meridian has me in shock. Along with that the evidence for the theory that starlight is a descendent of that ancient race before the demons could be true!
According to Avior ever since the meridian got ahold of starlight the first time its been wanting starlight back and if Blake and CloseKnits theory about there being an ancient race that was wiped out by demons but who are actually still alive in the meridian is true and starlight is infact a descendent of one that puts a whole new meaning onto the meridian trying to take starlight.
This is going off of a lot of what if's and other theories but here me out.
What if one of the meridian's jobs is protecting the ancient race and that's why it tried to absorbed starlight as a way to "protect" them against Avior or against something much bigger (maybe CloseKnit that seems more likely).
It's possible it could have known about how the demon whipped out the ancient race. By the way everyone talks about the meridian everyone acts likes it has a mind of its own to some extent and its possible it does. It's possible that the meridian is protecting the remaining ancient race by absorbing them in a way like it tried to do to starlight. Avior said how the meridian was angry about not being able to absorb starlight and how the meridian could have closed the opening that saved starlight but didn't. What if the reason it kept it open was because the meridian wanted Avior to pull starlight back in so that the meridian could absorb them and keep them safe forever.
At first I thought when writing this was that the reason the meridian tried to absorb starlight at first was because it viewed Avior as a threat to starlight but now I feel like it views Avior as a way to get starlight away from the actual threat which I feel like would be CloseKnit. We saw how CloseKnit used/is using Sunshine inorder to figure out how they are connected to death and Brachium and I feel like if they where to find out that starlight is a descendent of the ancient race (going off of the theory that they are a descendent of the ancient race) the danger that starlight would be in is immense they would probably torture Starlight or maybe even go as far as to possibly kill them or use them as a weapon to try and find out more about the ancient race or demons.
Edit: ok so I saw someone else say that the meridian is the ancient race and if it was I feel like that could also apply to this theory/what if

So basically its the theory I said before but instead the meridian is the accident race (weavers) that recognized starlight as they're descendent and in a way wanted to bring them "home" aka absorb them and protect them cause the weavers/ancient race/the meridian know the danger they could be in if someone found out about starlights family line and possibly because coincidentally enough Avior is a demon and the weavers almost got entirely wiped out by demons they hold a grudge against demons and they see Avior as no different from the one's that supposedly tried to kill them causing the weavers/meridian to immediately try and absorb starlight asap cause they deemed Avior a threat to starlights safety as well but that might be unlikely like I stated before in the first version of this theory/what if

What a stellar plot twist! the idea of the meridian being sentient in some respect is fascinating. And the idea that Avior has only been callous and sarcastic trying to protect Starlight from his own feelings is validating. No one wants to like a character with no redemption arc.
My take is now that Starlight is some relation to the original weavers of the meridian, and it is trying to connect with them so that they can help repair/save it. Avior's 'bubble' where he is entrapped is there because the meridian is damaged and the combination of him trying to rift while in contact with Starlight stuck it all together. I'm very excited to follow along with this and see if I've got the right idea or I need to lay off the white claw... time will tell!
YES! I’m so glad I’m not the only one who thinks Starlight is a weaver of some sort - especially with how much Avior and other demons in the past videos refer to magic as threads/knots/weaves

Oooooohhhhh this was so freaking good. I had figured that Starlight had been in there longer than they realized, but to hear that they had been pulled in together, and then escaped, was something I did not expect. I also like that we now have some more info on how time is different between the pocket and the real world. But now I'm mildly concerned, because the Meridian more or less wants to eat Starlight. Very excited for the next installment!

Oh this was so good! Took me from flailing in my car with joy to straight up heartbreak. They love each other so much and I can’t imagine what it was like for Avior that first day they were back, when they opened their eyes and had no idea who he was.
And yet after all that they both fell in love all over again.

This is absolutely heartbreaking.
The fact that Avior spent two years alone, able to see but unable to actually reach the person that he loved. And when the two of them were finally together again, they had no idea who he was. Its so tragic.
Also, the meridian itself apparently being a sentient entity with its own desires and goals is *so* interesting. I'm really curious to see how that might connect to everything going on with the river and the sovereigns.
I’ve been listening thru all of yer audios the past couple of weeks and I’ve finally gotten around to Avior’s storyline and omfg it’s so good. All of yer videos tend to make me emotional, but this is the first video I’ve cried. Phenomenal world building I’m speechless, all of yer works are so good. I can’t wait to listen to more 😭😭

I have been waiting patiently and excitedly for this. As soon as I saw the thumbnail, I thought “Oooh boy here we go!!”
I will listen to playlists over and over from the beginning to get into these continuances. It’s so damn amazing. I absolutely LOVE when once the audio is over, I’ll have to take off my headphones and just stare off into space. For like a half hour. Just STUNNED by the storytelling and immersion.
