Wild Camping Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk: Part 4 - Ingleby Arncliffe to Robin Hood's Bay

Welcome to the exhilarating final part of our wild camping adventure on the Wainwright's Coast to Coast walk. Join me as we embark on the last leg of this epic journey, traversing the captivating landscapes of the North Yorkshire Moors, the final national park of the trail.
Starting from Ingleby Arncliffe, we set out on a challenging day of short, steep climbs and descents, immersing ourselves in the rugged beauty of the moors. Our efforts are rewarded with a stop at Blakey Ridge, where we find ourselves camping in the car park of the iconic Lion Inn, near the highest point of the moors.
As we continue our trek across the vast expanse of the moors, we find a perfect camping spot just 10 miles away from the much-anticipated end point. Nestled in the peaceful woods, we take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we've undertaken and savour the tranquillity of our surroundings.
The final day dawns, bringing with it a chilly and gusty walk that propels us closer to our ultimate destination, Robin Hood's Bay. With each step, the anticipation builds, and as we reach the shores of the North Sea, we are overwhelmed with a mix of emotions-a sense of accomplishment, joy, fulfilment and tiredness! This has been my biggest personal challenge and a truly great adventure. A great hiking trail, it is understandable why it is so popular. Now I have completed it, I feel I can truly say I am a proper thu-hiker.
