      Hey Ian. Still having a blast with all of my Gotway's - and no problems (knock on wood).

    Another great vid Ian! You do more to advance the EUC world than anyone.
    Please do a vid on the S2 teardown soon. I noticed in your store you have third party advanced batteries that give the S2 a 35km range. I have the S1, which I am fairly certain is just the American version of the S2.. I'd like a vid on that too!

    Hello,
    Thank you for this video.
    After a digging, when I disassembled my Msv3s +,
    I noticed that the big metal part under the big nut had a small angular movement.
    When I removed it from the axle, a small metal plate stay around the axis. This plate seems to have been glued (red marks) on the big metal part. I'm going to glue it back on, but there seems to be a small angle between them. is the case? thank you in advance for your response

    Hi,
    Thanks much for your video.
    I am planning to assemble similar unicycle from scratch.
    I am looking for spare parts and controller board information.
    Would be really helpful if you could help me out in this.
    Thanks,
    D

    I didn't see a CPU fan in this tear-down/re-build. Don't these require CPU fans to keep the board cool?

    For replacing the tyre or repairing a puncture is it possible to only remove the side that holds the second battery and leaving the side with the control board closed?

    • @Speedyfeetuk

      Yes, it can, just need to be careful when twisting the body around.

    Hello,
    Thank you for the video.
    I was wondering about the waterproof/resistance. Is the motherboard sealed with some protective glue? How safe is it to ride in the rain or in wet conditions. I live in Finland, it is pretty wet all the time. I dont want to fall and break my neck only because a short.
    What is your own experience about riding in the rain/wet conditions? Ever had issues?
    Thanks in advance.

      We have almost the same whether here in the UK, I have had no issues riding in the rain.

    It appears to me that most of this stripdown would be required in order to repair a puncture. Is this correct or is there a simpler way to remove the wheel?

    • @Speedyfeetuk
      @Speedyfeetuk  Před 6 lety

      Kimdino1 Could do it in less moves for sure just for a tube / tire change.

  • @stevennelson3025

    To replace a melted power charger port I am assuming a full tear down is required. Is this correct? Thanks

    • @Speedyfeetuk
      @Speedyfeetuk  Před 6 lety

      Pretty much yeah, you need to seperate the shells you see to access it, although you could possible squeeze it out with just partially opening the casings...but it would be a pain. also you need to melt the glue holding it on with a heat gun ideally - so its better to tear it down.
      Hope this helps!

  • @773steve

    How dose the motor look can you easily change the motor to a different brand or type?

    • @Speedyfeetuk
      @Speedyfeetuk  Před 6 lety

      Complete tear down will get the motor out, not sure about a different brand, not had one fail before, but I guess if axel, wiring and voltage input matched then might be possible.

    @channyo8509 Před 7 lety

    Hey nice video. Just received my v3 today but I can't connect to gotway app it's asking for a motorcode number can u tell me where it's located

    • @Speedyfeetuk
      @Speedyfeetuk  Před 7 lety

      Its located on the motor itself, on the rim, no need to take anything apart, just rotate the wheel until you can see it (think its on the right hand side)

  • @somedandy7694
    @somedandy7694 Před 3 lety

    On my V3 there's a fan by the cpu, and it's too big to go through the upper right hole. Can I snip that off?

    • @Speedyfeetuk
      @Speedyfeetuk  Před 3 lety

      The fan is needed to cool the heat sink. Confused as to why it used to fit but no longer does?

    • @somedandy7694
      @somedandy7694 Před 3 lety

      @@Speedyfeetuk The fan was too big to fit through the gap that the wires feed through, and it's glued to the control panel, which is also too big to fit through the hole. Also...when I looked at my new shell, there weren't any screw holes to mount the fan, so it looks like maybe it was an after-market upgrade (it was a used one I purchased, and the previous owner had also wired in an LED strip). I didn't see a fan in your tear-down video, so I thought maybe the guy put the fan in as well (it was broken off anyway; my wheel's been through a lot).

    • @Speedyfeetuk
      @Speedyfeetuk  Před 3 lety

      They are standard, but you need to drill little pilot holes then screw fan back in - defo needs it.

    • @Speedyfeetuk
      @Speedyfeetuk  Před 6 lety +1

      Depending on the motor unit you have, you can swap the control board and all the batteries to convert. Its not financially feasible - to costly.

  • @larsbarsthe4441

    Why do you have the 6 mosfet version of the pcb?

    • @MartyBacke
      @MartyBacke Před 7 lety +1

      This seems to be a common observation (the ACM looks the same). I haven't taken mine apart, but I'm assuming that there's another row of 6 on the other side of the control board. Perhaps Ian can 'officially' confirm this?

    So wait, you're telling me that the proper procedure for changing your tire will void your warranty? That's complete rubbish!

    • @Speedyfeetuk
      @Speedyfeetuk  Před 6 lety +1

      No, as per video, for a COMPLETE tear down you would void your warranty. Changing the tire you can get away with not taking everything appart.

    • @DocHollidayGames
      @DocHollidayGames Před 6 lety
