- Day two is here! The new trailer doors start to take shape. Between my own indecision over the design, stopping progress to film, explain every step and the constant puppy interruptions, the process is taking a long time. But that is life. Is it not? Life is the little things. The minutiae. The plans. The details. The mistakes. In an attempt to bring you all of that and share as much of the process as I can, as if you were there yourself, I mean to include as much of the small details as I can. I hope you're not bored with the myriad of steps to get the job done. Indeed! I hope you find it entertaining.

I'm not exactly sure when I subscribed to your channel, but it was when you had your first red kayak. I've watched every single video you have posted. I cannot tell you how much I enjoy your videos. I know I speak for thousands of your viewers. Thankyou for your videos and your inspiration.
Ditto, well said!
He can do anything! I miss his carvings! Dude is a true artist 🧑🎨
Another great update Marty. Bored? - never. Entertained - definitely. Keep 'em coming, stay safe & well. 👍👍
These videos are why I started watching you. Showing us how to make things is so much better than your others, well except for the fishing videos.
Yes you are correct Marty. Escaping into your mind of creative thought is wonderful. Thanks for taking me along. Duke
Marty, I’m so excited for this new project. Ive watched the boat build series at least 3 times. I can’t wait to see what you do with this trailer.
You built a triple 5hp boat from scratch this is a breeze for you your very gifted!
If you put the hinge point on the outside edge of the trailer, strap hinge, you can latch the doors to the side of the trailer when open. Good on windy days.
what an exciting project, and a new kind of challenge/vehicle/ends up being art lol and thanks for the reminder to slow down 🤙
Thanks for the video always a pleasure to watch from a fellow Kayak fisherman!!!👊😎👍🏝
Marty, the difference between a tradesman, and a laborer,A tradesman understands that his tools are important, and a tradesman knows when to Stop!
Keep up the good work brother!
I always look forward to fresh posts from you. We have been following you since the beginning.
If you'd like to bring a kayak up to Lutz sometimes I can put you on some Largemouth Bass, speckled Perch and bluegill.
awesome job.....it's coming along great .keep filming and I'll keep watching till the end!
I’m excited for this series
I pretty much don't watch regular television programs now despite being weaned on them. I find content like your's much more satisfying and relaxing. Yes I find it so much more entertaining, Much more of the same please as everyone else in the comments seem to be in accord.
Nice. This will be a fun evolution.
Love the regular videos!
Thanks Marty
Love how you explain what you're thinking,
Love seeing the dogos keeping an eye on you
The spring loaded shed door locks stops. Work great with Paracord connections to hidden bolt. Must pull to unlock door s. I have on a Harley chopper, with battery powered motion detector.
At the bottom of the door you can put a strip of rubber on the front of the door to keep out water from going under the door.
I'm going to have rewatch this whole series when it's over.
Maybe the accompanying stairs can be hinged like an RV, where they flip out when you need them but can be flipped back inside when you don't.
Good job on them doors dude
Love your channel Marty, as a long time wood worker, it would have been best to check for square (diag measurements) before scribing the 1st brace.
Jet engine on a kayak or watching a shop build. Equally entertaining.
Great watching your build. I'm surprised you need the diagonal braces. I would think the sheathing would hold it square.
Funny thing I just got a 27ft fifth wheel and am getting ready to pull out the woodworking tools again. Almost done with the 84 El Camino 327 with NOS. Got the kayak net and poles ready for the water to warm up in north Florida
Love the camper!!! Am looking to buy one of these. What year, length and width is this? Price? Any information would be appreciated!!! Thanks!!!
Looking outstanding!!
If you mount a shelf and it falls you only have yourshelf to blame.
Stop it! LOL
A 3 ft master door and a 5 ft slave door not a good idea?
the doors won't open fully..lay flat on the sides of the van..?..
🖐😎👍
Do you think you will ever go back to boat life?
hey marty! long time subscriber here but havent seen much of your stuff in a while. where are you living these days? did you close the kayak business? wheres kon tiki?
Wow, I follow Z pretty closely. Kayak shop has been closed for quite a while.. Gave the boat away in a little contest thing. You need to catch up. 😉
I missed it but, who's property are you on?
Funny, maybe he'll give us his addy...
The mistake is the top angle brace needs to be the other direction. Top of the strike side to the bottom on the hinge side. The force exerted by the weight of the door needs to be transferred through the brace in compression to the hinge. As it is the force is transferred in tension so the fasteners are doing all of the work.
IM NOT GAY AND I DONT KNOW IF YOU ARE OR NOT, BUT WITH ALL RESPECT YOU ARE EVERY GENDER DREAM MAN LOL. CAUSE MAN YOU CAN DO ANYTHING 👍
Really, you brought sex into this? Brilliant!
