- I need a break. I need to paddle. And I can't think of a better place then my Florida home in Ruskin. Sharing this life has been a passion of mine through CZcams, my rental business and now also by bringing along a young man who already loves fishing, but my goal, is to show him why an angler can really love KAYAK fishing. Much love to my friends at Pelican who have enabled me to live that dream. They have a big sale going on until Nov 28th. Check out their website for giggles. The link is below.
Shawn and I will be chasing fish from their kayaks for the rest of this year. I plan to share the fun as much as I can.

I think at some point you become a Floridian when you live here long enough Marty. I thought you moved to FL in 1991 or so? Even if it was in 2001... its still like 20 years so technically you are "one of the people".
I know I am... having lived here for 15.5 years now. My blood is thin... I drink sweet tea... I hate cold weather and seasons... I wear sandals, shorts and a t-shirt almost every day... That's about all the requirements I think.
Happy Thanksgiving, glad you are back. Moved up north of Gainesville. It is a quiet and more laid back. But I do miss the Gulf. Give me a reason to come down.

Is Sean your son or related?
He is son of a guy who's place he stayed in while in NC. His dad and team loaded up trailers with rescue gear to assist in Ft. Myers post hurricane. They are probably still there rescuing boats. Son is with Marty learning about fishing in FL.
