Hey Flamu, thx for the vid and commentary! It´s fun as always. I love my Fuso. Have it set up like you do and it´s so much fun. Especially cruisers get obliterated so quickly by it. I even find myself attacking DDs very often as your spread is just devastating.

First game in the Fuso I deleted a Pensacola in a single volley. First Blood/Devastating Strike. Been fun since then. But I will say, with the dispersion build in WoWS Legends, I can sit at max range and rain down plunging fire pretty consistently. I can also disappear between shots as well, and the plunging fire is really nice against more heavily armored ships like BBs as well as trolly lightly armored French cruisers. At close range I always overpen those with AP, but the plunging fire returns citadels pretty consistently. Just had an 11 citadel game a moment ago doing that.
Oh....my.....God!! A WOWS related video with actual verbal commentary! How many videos did I have to sort through to find this one, which includes useful VERBAL information! Most are listed as either "gameplay" or even "first impression", but include NO actual advice.
Watched this tutorial and then jumped into Warships. Immediately had the best game I've ever had in my Fuso haha. Should have watched sooner. I'm already about to unlock the Nagato.

Bought fuso back after nagato (just sold my russian line), no regrets. She is my moneymaker and if I am losing every battle, I just go play fuso. You face noobs (tier 4), lots of fast firing guns and "fast".
I have experienced with said rudder shift issue often. I think it's caused by turning while auto avoid island system is running.
Fuso is love. Fuso is life.

Flamu, take a look if it could have something to do with detection / avoidance settings. I'm having it all the time with that stuff on, but it seems you might only have one of perhaps 2 settings. That could cause the steering stuff?

I've had my best WOWS Moments in Fuso. In one game (Random Battles to be exact), I sank a Nagato for the first time, but since it was already badly damaged, I didn't consider it a real achievement. However, I started making my way up the left side of the Map, and here comes a freakin Saipan speeding around the corner, he's completely oblivious to my presence! XD I hit up the "Say to All" chat, and I tell the Saipan player that he had just made a stupid move! He didn't respond, obviously he was embarrassed about what he did. I just sat and laughed as I let rip with my Fuso without a single bit of resistance from the Saipan! It wasn't long and I sank him! XD Sinking the Saipan put the tide in our favour, so after a few minutes we eventually won the match! XD
Then, some time later, I ended up in a match where the enemy had a fully upgraded Amagi. My game plan was to eliminate the Amagi to give my team the edge. Of course, the Amagi was smart and stayed behind the islands. Very well, I sent up a spotter plane, and engaged the Amagi from long range solo, eventually sinking it single handedly! The Amagi player still hit up the "Say to All" chat and said "What the Fuck?".XD I survived the battle and gave my team the advantage, and ultimately won the match! Fuso For Life!

Fuso brings honor to me! I've currently hit rock bottom with Amagi having eaten all my credits up. I've had to sell her off, as well as other ships to get back some credits; but I have chosen to spare Fuso because of her legendary reputation! Thanks for this vid, makes me want to go running with her again! Consider me another loyal subscriber!

The rudder shift thing only happens with Q + E. Doesn't affect A + D

Flamu, I have good success at ranges of 16 plus Kilometers if I use sequential fire. (It reduces my shell dispersion.)
what option/mod did you use to get the raising sun flag on your IJN ship?
I noticed all my IJN have the modern Japanese flag and not the historical accurate raising sun flag?
That was the official flag back then, the rising sun flag is the war flag used during war time. But the flag with the sun only was adopted in 1870. Although the navy did use the war flag in peace time during some periods.
I avoid the ruddershiftbug by usually using "Q" and "E". This way the rudder is reliably shifting! I only use "A" and "D" for Torbedobeats. This way I only rarely notice the bug, but it does occur with A and D :S just try to adapt and use Q and E :}

I don't know, for me...there is a HUGE performance gap between the two ships. I'm a newer player (650~battles) but I'm currently sitting on 71% W/R, 61k dmg, 2.8 k/d and 1700 average exp on my New Mexico.
Fuso...29% W/R, 57k average dmg, 1.1 k/d and 1100 average exp.
Win rate is definitely just abnormal there since all the other stats are average or above but I just don't click with the Fuso like I do the New Mex. I played 2 games in the latter and immediately started training a permanent captain for her on my Texas (current New Mex Captain will be moving up the tiers, hopefully to an Iowa eventully :D). She is a fantastic ship.

My, how times change! Playing Fuso last week and at 7.9km range fired a full broadside at a light cruiser to see it disappear, completely surrounded by water spouts - then reappear with ZERO damage...is Nagato realy worth putting up with the grind through this ship? :)
Fuso changed since then in 2016-17. Back then it had 1.8 sigma, same as today’s premium (ofc) Hyuga. Now Fuso has pitiful 1.5 sigma, which is T3-4 sigma. Sadge.
so you have a mod for detection circles as always yet WG put in game Detection circles why do you still need that?
I ground out so many XP and credits in this old lady .....got a real soft spot for her now im a few tiers higher and hate to see here in my crosshairs.....

The reason your ship wasn't turning is because collision avoidance is on.
I ran into that bug also, I've turned collision avoidance off.
I would argue the warspite is just as good if not better than the fuso but I definitely think it's better than new mex as it can over match and deal this damage but fuso is great

well I think Fuso is really bad ship.
- bad concealment
- horrible torpedo protection (25% compared to 40% on NM)
- doesnt turn well
- bad dispersion forces you to come close and be easier to citadel. NM does this as well but is harder to citadel
- really big citadel and very easy to pen it.
- AA is bad
- only 4 guns perfectly angled
- bigger target in general so easier for a good cruiser/dd to set fires in multiple places
- worse armour than NM
I dont think a 17% reload advantage is enough to make up for this.
Actually, Fuso has a higher protection againist HE-spammers, because the high superstructure absorb some of the shells coming at you, so it has a lower chance of setting on fire or even take no damage from HE shells from cruisers. Also need to mention, this ships have higher speed and has decent mobility in terms of speed, and the range add up here, this will help Fuso kill others at a mid-long distance. Just remember to angle your self to any BB anytime they are shooting at you, and always dodge shell.I looked at the armor indicator and found out fuso has a large chuck of 203mm and 152mm ;(
People are going to hate me for this, but I never really liked the Fuso, mainly because of how it looks, but also because you lose so much of your firepower going bow in.

Nah, don't like the US BBs either. At least until the NC and I'm not grinding my way up to T8. For them time being I'm going to be fine with my Nagato and later the Amagi

Yep, regular ol' teamkiller! In all seriousness, crosstorped an enemy DD in my Hosho and killed him, then through only mental acrobatics a T4 player might achieve, a friendly DD sailed into one of the torps and made me pink. FeelsBadMan

i gotta say... vs tier VI and shit this thing is a beast. BUT! Since wg fucked up the matchmaking im only getting matched with tier VIII and a few tier VII, which fucking sucks -.- you just get obliterated like, instantly and you have no chance to do shit imo. ._.

I think he just means that it is harder to hit an enemy at long range(Other BBs will dodge shells if they know your existence), the dispersion might matter(I do not know how the dispersion thing works in game)
