      The mathematician in me is interpreting this statement as such:
      P = pelvis
      W = woman
      Any P can also be W
      P u W is true
      What they didn’t stated is that there is an overlap between pelvis and woman, but not if one is implied by the other. Therefore, you can have a pelvis and not be a woman, have a pelvis and be a woman, and not have a pelvis and be a woman!
      I made you read all that nonsense to tell you that you can be a woman - pelvis or not - if you want to be.

    I think the worse part about the (wrong) take that "if you're attracted to Jenna Ortega, a woman in her 20s, you are a pedophile because she looks like a child" is the implication that dating a child would be okay as long as said child looked mature.

    • @foogod4237
      @foogod4237 Před 25 dny +30

      Well, technically "attracted to" and "dating" are not the same thing at all... It does imply that being _attracted_ to someone who is a child does not make you a pedophile if the child actually looks like a sexually mature person (they do not look like a child). But that is also actually technically true, according to the actual definition of "pedophile" (but then almost everybody uses the term wrong all the time anyway, so...)
      I'm not defending the post (because if nothing else I don't think she really looks that much like a child, so the whole point is kinda baseless), but your conclusion also does not actually follow from what they said, either.

    • @stellamariss3335
      @stellamariss3335 Před 25 dny +85

      @@foogod4237I might be confused by this post but a pedophile is someone attracted to kids. So if they don’t know the age and the child is dressed like a 20 year old and look alike one then okay, BUT once they are informed of the age then that should change cause you should now see them in the context that they are a freaking child. So I think once you know someone’s age you shouldn’t be attracted to them even if they dress adultish but you know they are 12. Knowing their age should change how you feel if not I think that makes you a pedophile. Talking about strictly young kids. Not almost adult kids. Where a 17 year old can look like a 20 year old. However a 12 year old even dressed up, once you know their age that should immediately turn the person off.

    6:10 hi, metrologist here, so knowing how to measure anything is my job. Although I am not a native English speaker so I will refer to the picture as measuring tool.
    the picture shows a perfect reading of 50mm.
    The measuring tool is close to well installed (if you wanted it to be perfect you should only have the angled touching the points in between which you measure and not the parts of rectangular section)
    You see the zero doesn't start at the tip of the measuring tool because it is not used like a basic ruler.
    The little 0 in the right is what you use for your "big" reading, you pick the graduation on the great axis that is is on or just after (if it is between 49 and 50 you pick 49)
    Once that is done the resolution of your measurement can be improved by checking which of the graduation on the small axis is best alligned with any on the big axis.
    In this picture, although the reading wasn't done by aligning the camera with the reading to supress paralaxe error, the small zero seems to PERFECTLY stand on the 50,0mm reading.
    So they used the correct tool, in a good enough way for their application, with a reading conform to their demands, and claimed the opposite.
    Their error seems to lie in the way they read the indication by not using the 0 but the "foot" of the moving part.
    For you common reader I would say to expand the moral of the story : read your user manuals before using anything or claiming you know how to use anything.

Then we were both school kids but he was a junior and I was a senior, then he was still in Primary School while I was in High School. That 4.5 years looked less of a gap when I was 30 and he was 25ish and we were riding our motorbikes around as two *_adults_* and now I'm sixty, he's "around my age". 4.5 years is a far smaller - and less significant - percentage of my life than it used to be.
    Whoever wrote that "bE cOnSiStEnT" twaddle has no concept of percentages. At age 20, 4 years represents a 5th of your life (20%). At age 40, 4 years is only 1/10th of your life, at age 80 it's only 1/20th (5%) - a 40-year old dating a 36-year old would be equivalent to a 20-year old dating an 18-year old, *not* a 20-year-old dating a 16-year-old. Yes, this makes it difficult to do art. But it's still very much possible. I just need to know my limits by taking breaks and figure out ways to work around the pain, like by using a special grip on my pencil. And people with even more severe disabilities can and do create amazing art by finding ways to work around their issues! AI "art" can be a valuable tool, and it can be fun to use, especially for those who struggle with art. But using just AI to create images doesn't make you an artist since you didn't actually put in any work. And as long as AI makers are allowed to steal art to train their models, it simply isn't ethical to use.

Yes, AI images are quicker to make, but they lack soul. (And I have to admit I use them as reference/inspiration sometimes, because it's easier than trying to find the subject or especially style I want on google etc, but I'd NEVER call that creating art)

    Being neurodivergent, I often noticed ambiguities in math word problems in school. My teachers would alwys say there's nothing ambiguous. But when it says, "there are 3 apples on the table. Take 2. How many do you have?" and the answer ends up being 1, you learn to be suspicious.

    • @mastermarkus5307

      Agreed! Because you've TAKEN two, therefore if you're asking how many _I_ have, it's two.
      I definitely had this issue before, but sometimes explaining how it's confusing just... confuses the other person, sadly.

    42:35 I have dyscalculia. I can NOT to simple math in my head, I NEED a calculator to do something like 26+44. But I’m able to do math really well with a calulator to do those small details for me because my brain functions very formulaic and needs structure so I’m able to understand math because of it. However- teachers would take my calculator away on tests etc bc “you wont always a calulator”
    I was 8th in my class and taking freshman level algebra in 6th grade. I explained the reasons why I need it but was bullied by teachers and peers for “not trying/being smart enough”
    THAT is why I hate that phrase and why I silently twitch every time Click says this in defense of the phrase. I agree we need to be able to understand in order to use the tool: but thats not what that phrase is about.
