In today's video I'll show you how I made this two tone keepsake box. This box was made using with box/finger joints. The top and bottom are plywood and the outside is walnut. You just made an advanced project look ridiculously easy 😂 All I need is 16 clamps!
I can let you borrow some 🙂
Great video- The box came out beautiful!
Thank you 😊
What is it with you guys, asking to hit the "like" button right at the start of a video??? I click the button, once I actually like the video, not before.. It's a bit like giving tips at a restaurant... Anyways, guess whether you got a like or not. You deserve one...
That is a good point in my new video I ask around 3 minutes because most people stop watching at that point 😆
Great job!! Is there a way to adjust the cut so the amount of finger protrusion is kept to a minimum? Just asking . Loved the video. Thanks
Yes, you can easily adjust the amount of fingers you want by just changing the stack of the data stack. thanks for watching 🙂
Adjusting the finger protrusion would be adjusting the saw blade height, not the width.
Curious...what is the advantage of using the pull saw to do the final lid cut as opposed to the table saw??
I have cut the light off before Sometimes the blade will pinch a little bit in the lid does not sit flat So using the pull saw prevents that
Just some constructive criticism, sand your interior before glue up, your product will look more professional, recess your hinges so your finished lid is completely flat. And cut the rabbit in your lid before you cut it off, less chance of it breaking, Other than that, this was a nice build.
Thank you, and thanks for watching. I love the feedback.
Could you please tell me what router bit you used?
rabbet router bit 1/4 shank sorry I didn't get back I am at work 😅
@@CraftedbyRay awesome thanks
What's the size of this box?
Sorry I don't remember I need to start writing the size of the thing I made down 🙂
That’s not the way to fit a hinge is it?
I don't know but it is it works 🤔
The music makes it hard to watch Sorry dude
