  • USA Today released their list of the greatest NBA players of all time and Skip’s guy Michael Jordan came up with the No. 1 spot. To no one’s surprise, LeBron James then came in at No. 2, followed by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, and Wilt Chamberlain. Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe react to USA Today's rankings.

      Aren’t kidding me with that??
Everywhere u go for nba info theyre trying to convince u lebron is the goat!...Man this is one of the weirdest ones I’ve ever heard!
Bro, EVERY sports show, debate show, radio show, whatever show literally pushes the same agenda and have been for a while now.Seriously what are u talking about??Everything is about trying to actually TALK lebrons career higher or MJs lower. Every other day someone’s trying to TALK or argue someone’s career to a dif place.
They’re constantly going back in time and trying to redefine things in MJs career to try and make it sound worse and make lebrons career sound better. They got people in the daily nba media constantly doing that stuff every day or every other day at least and u know it...
If people are influenced in any way as to which side to lean towards in this ‘debate’,it is clearly and OBVIOUSLY to get u on team lebron.
Theyre so desperate they literally tell actual lies on live tv about MJs career. They change number/,stats,they change circumstance and they’re favorite thing is to tell half-truths and half-stories and always no matter what,at all cost, leave out common sense context!!

Don’t act like u don’t already know that.
And even lebron himself is running around politicking & campaigning on tv for people to call him the goat lmao!!

While 6-0 is great and all that, what really matters is the ability to show up on the big games ALWAYS. One of my favorite quotes from the wolf of wall street is "Judge me on my loses because I have so few" Michael always showed up when it mattered. You cannot point to one game where Michael was absolutely god awful when it mattered not unlike Lebron on finals against the Mavs. Lebron is so great that even if he fails once it will be held up against him. When I rank my greatest I do not go with their greatest wins because all of the top 10 has them, but their greatest failings because they have so few and Lebron's was a travesty compared to his legendary career and you can't even make excuses for him, he had great co-stars and supporting cast, he was on or nearly on his prime and he failed hard by his standards, that's what really matters to me.

@@tmoney360 I feel like this debate between the two will always be weird because they are so not alike. LeBron will beat MJ in almost every major category because of longevity. But I am of the kind that LeBron is the better PLAYER in the totality of basketball. We could have someone be the first 40k pts, 10k a, and 10k reb in history but some won't even put him in conversation with Michael. I also think it's weird because MJs hardest comp was getting to the Finals, while Lebron's journey was only about the Finals. And some of those Ls LeBron took, like those KD Warriors, I don't know if prime MJ with Lebron's teammates would have faired much better. This topic will be debated for years and years.

Jordan made the playoffs with a team that was like 30-52 or something. Tough conference? A good bit of the rosters around the nba back in Jordan’s early years wouldn’t make the G-league the last ten years. Lebron didn’t win in 07, 09, 10 because it was him and a bag of chips against three hall of famers. Why do you give Jordan credit for tough competition but not Lebron? Garnett, Perice, Allen, Duncan, Parker, Manu, Pop at coach. Is that not good competition? He was absolutely carrying the cavs, they went straight to lottery when he left and didn’t make the playoffs until he came back. All that said, Jordan is the 🐐
