The shoes worked great, love em!❤
@@jennywalborn7769 Same principle as snow shoes- spreads the weight over a greater area.
@@lauriesquires5924 kind of can't believe we didn't do this earlier!
You should try to make some sort of candle chandelier out of all of those bottle necks. It would be stunning!
@@kpax2066 working on the candlestick holders at the moment, should be able to share them in a couple of weeks, take care 😄
All those onions! 😳 we’ve never seen anything like it! The pipe is awesome too. Amazing lark guys xx
Thanks so much lovelies! We couldn't believe it! We truly stumbled upon a gold mine... We're sure there's a complete or almost complete below the surface here! x😍
Yay it's Mudpies day!! Can't wait to see how the mud shoes work and seeing all those onion bottles :)
Awhh thanks guys! Hope you enjoy it! The mud shoes are revolutionary!🤩
It really amazes me that you can just walk out there at low tide and pick up so many old finds. Hundreds of years old and just sitting there. Absolutely amazing!
Oii, Oii Mudpies,
Those mudshoes you have make an amazing sound effect, a sort of squelchy splatt sort of noise.
I can see the local headlines now, mysterious bigfoot tracks found all over the mudflats. 😂😂😂
Hello there, they are relentless in the noises they make! 😄
✨ AMAZING DAY ✨
The shoes 😱, the bottles, the pipes and super long stems!
Now comes the legend of the mud creature! New species leaving those giant pair of prints! 😂. Great day you two! Loved it! Stay safe. 🦋
Hello there, thank you! The shoes really were revolutionary! Have an awesome weekend 😃
You're the Lord's of the mallets! Incredible!
Hahaha love that! 🧅🧅
Hurray, someone has actually done it. Everytime I see mudlarkers sinking I've kept wondering why they don't use boards. 🙂❤️
Thanks Kay! They are amazing and can't believe we hadn't created them earlier! 😍
Pipe itt!!! Brilliant as always. The mud pattern boots are a stroke of genius. So many onion bottles. And the pipe, stunning. It's astonishing that it has lain there for 400 years, just waiting for you to pick it up.
Hahaha pipe itttttt!! haha the mud boots are our best invention/time investment yet - can't wait to take them into new locations and see what we will find...Thanks so much for watching + Take care Carl! x
Fabulous mud shoes. It looks like they work even better than the commercial ones Simon Bourne has. That really old pipe is amazing, and the bottle bits - gasp! Gorgeous. I hope you are able to reconstruct the one from the pile of parts, Andy.
Hello Shanna, they are really effective. I guess we could make them bigger and float even more on the surface! We'll keep you posted how we get on with the reconstruction, take care 😄
Yay!! A duck footed MudPie! It must have been both wondrous and disappointing to find so many pieces but no whole ones.
Hahaha we are so pleased with our new duck feet! Yesss, you're right - we couldn't quite believe the number of pieces we stumbled upon. Sad about lack of complete but super excited to construct our own from the pieces we did find! x
Andy, your first few steps were hilarious!
Easily your best video ever! So many onions. Really (jealous) happy for you. Absolutely brilliant.
Awh yayy thanks Darren! it's a little treasure trove this spot 🧅😃
Amazing those mudflaps, they sure made me smile, I love the marks they leave behind, like some giant monster crossed the Chichester mudflats. Another great video and good luck getting the Frankenbottle alive, see you next episode!
Thanks, we did laugh at the odd H shaped footprints we left behind, that and the farting noises! 😄
Cracker of a video guys! That graveyard of mallets definitely needs another visit to unearth that hidden, complete mallet. The old pipe was a beauty. Those mud shoes have really expanded your access to many more finds. Looking forward to more videos. Sue and Ian, Australia
Hello Ian and Sue, hopefully it's access all areas! Lots more to share next week, take care Josie and Andy 😃
Well, to me those mud shoes are a great success.!! well done Andy. At last, they will save you both from sinking into the mud.😳 your leg muscles must give a sigh of relief.!
Hello Susie, they really did make such a difference 😄, I guess it must be like riding an e-bike, you still get a work out, you just get to make it twice the distance. Thanks for your support 😃 Josie and Andy
The new mud wear changes everything
I know right! Best tool ever x
I knew you where going to find something amazing!!!! You hit the jack pot! Those have been there for over a hundred years! I can't believe they are still there! I am so happy for you both!! How exciting and with your mud blockers!
Hello there, I guess you could see from the video we were just astonished to find so many in one spot! Take care Josie and Andy 😃
It's always soo cute to see you both so excited😊. Very nice finds. The Mud Shoes looks a bit funny😜. Thanks for taking me with you on your tour, is always a pleasure.
Take care of you👋
Greetings, Tina
Our pleasure! Thanks so much for tuning in Tina! Yesss the mud shoes definitely look a bit odd - we did get some funny looks as we squelched out of the mud and into the village lol!
Take care and catch you next week x
The picture of all the flat scalloped shells is so beautiful. I can't resist beautiful shells. I go to beaches in Mexico, There is a wide variety of shells. I have to control myself and resist how many i bring home. 🐚🐌🐟🐡
They were such a brilliant orange contrast with the brown mud! Take care Josie and Andy 😃
What amazing finds!!!! I can hardly wait for the candlestick holders!!!!!!!! Thanks so much for sharing!
Yayy thanks Mary! We will keep you updated on the candlestick holders!😍x
🍿😎👍 Mud shoes! Old inventions are sometimes the best. Many times I have made my own tools. 😎✌️♥️♻️
I agree, can't believe we didn't try them earlier! 😄
Josie....you look so much like your Dad! Genes do run deep at times! I enjoy the relationship you two have. Happy Mudlarking!
Hahah I know right?? We're basically twins lol. Thanks for watching and take care! x
Love love loved your "ballet on boards". Such mudaliscious freedom and so many finds. Very exciting, have a great week ❤
Hahaha Mudaliscious is a good word for it! We’re very pleased about them and looking forward to the access these give us to new areas! Take care and catch you next week x
Wicked mud flatters work a treat. Once tied planks to my feet as skis but weren't easy to steer ha ha. Unreal mallet and onion bottle cemetery and what a beaut of a pipe.
Your skis sound hilarious! Stoked with the pipe, take care 😊
Sweet! Loving the pipe, the bottles and especially those mud shoes! Brilliant!
Thanks so much Robin! Over the moon with how they function - we have access to new areas now! Take care, catch you next week! 😍x
Those pattern boots were amazing, what a great idea to make them. You had loads of juicy finds. I bet your eyes were everywhere. Thanks for sharing xxxx
Thanks so much Gaynor! The boots are incredibly effective, we're so excited now to take them to new locations we couldn't access previously...So hopwfully some extra juicy finds soon! lol! Take care x
Clever mud conquerors--- not quiet, but then your quarries aren't going to run anywhere.
Haha yes! The most squelchy boots! We were so surprised at their effectiveness
They are like Snowshoes only for the mud! Fantastic!!!
Yes! They work so well!! 🤩
Hahah the mud shoe invention is actually a good idea! There like Penguin feet 😂
Hahaha they certainly look a bit funny, but they work so well! 🤣
Think the mud shoes stole the show they belong on the catwalk surely😊
Beautiful bottle necks, pipes, you couldn't really have had a better day!
Hahaha love that! Definitely a fashion statement 😂 you should’ve seen the looks we were getting when we returned to the beach!
I think you guys are my new favorite mudlarkers...
Awhh love to hear that, thank you so much Robert!
A bottle grave yard amazing. I loved the old pipe a nice find. the duck boots worked very nicely.stay lucky..V..
Thanks V! It really was incredible how many of them were just sat there - it took our breath away! We're sure there is a whole or more whole one lying under the surface in this area...
Have you been out for a hunt at all recently?
Thanks so much for watching and take care x
@@Mudpies I went walking in a local creek just old bottles not that old but i did find a nice marble yellow and green in Herne Bay park while out walking...
Those mud boots are fantastic! I love seeing you guys adaption to them through the video. That old pipe is stunning and those long bits of pipe stem are amazing! So many gorgeous fragments of onion bottles wow!!
Thanks so much Erin! They really are revolutionary boots 😄
Hi Josie and Andy,
have an idea for those beautiful bottle tops. Why not taking these handmade rings off for making chimes (balkony or terrace sounds?)
Or taking these huge bottoms, smoothing the rims, turn them over and put candles wax in, for floating candles in the garden fountain? That bit of air under the ring (rim) will prevet them from drowning. Test it, give it a try, it's beautiful! 😉
Stay safe!
Those are some interesting ideas, i particularly like the idea of adding wax to the bottle base. We are working on the onion / mallet neck candles at the moment and will be able to show you these in a couple of weeks. Have a great weekend, take care, Josie and Andy
Great finds! All those bottle bits are insane! LOVE the mud shoes and the sound they make as you walk! What a great vid! I do enjoy the scenic views. 😃🙋🏽♀️🦋
Thanks so much Rita! The sound is hilarious, we love squelching in the mud on our hunt for finds! 😃
Next thing the News will be saying, "strange tracks of unknown creatures found on the Mud"...Wink...lol Cool finds as always.
Thanks Todd 😂
Brilliant footware!! Some great finds, bored sailors breaking bottles!!
Thanks, if only they spared a few! 😄
Awesome honey hole of onion bottles. Enjoyed your excitement.
Wow! You two have hit the mother load of juicy finds! 😲
Hahaha thank you! We really did get lucky!!
It's amazing how well the wood planks worked I bet you'll be using them more often and as always some awesome finds once again.I can't wait to see one of your faces when you find one of those bottles full.I hope you find one in that amazing place.Blessings and have a wonderful evening thank for sharing.
One day, we will keep looking ! You have a good weekend, 😊
It bless's my heart to see your joy when you find a pipe, great video
Awhh thanks Michael! Just love pipes so much!
Been watching every video on the channel over the past week starting with the first one. I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THE MUD PATTEN UPGRADE!
Ayyyyy lovely to hear that, the pattens have changed the game!! 😍
@@Mudpies I'm sure it has. Totally addicted to your videos. Keep em comin
Great video guys! Excellent finds and thanks for the shout out especially 😊
Our pleasure!!😊x
With the beautiful bases, you can make wind chimes.
Put holes all around the base and hang whatever you think best. Small pieces of necks etc.
That's a really lovely idea! we certainly have enough to experiment with now, so when we have some time we will try this! 😊
Love the footwear, amazing finds. Love watching.
Thank you! We had so much fun!!
Great finds!I think the shoes were great and seemed to make an enormous difference when schlepping across that mud.
Thanks Jan! They really did make the world of difference!! X
Dad and Josie you look like you were having such a good time plopping around in the muck 👍👍👍On the pipe find, can’t wait to see you making your candle holders. ❤️from Ontario Canada
Thanks Nancy! We really did have so much fun testing out these new shoes - the finds were a bonus!🤩 will update you on the candleholders in a future vid! Xx
Keep looking!! Nicola found an onion bottle in many pieces and put it back together so it was basically whole. So I cross my fingers and toes that if you keep looking in such a wonderfully mucky site you will find what you you wish for. Love the wee pipe!
Thanks, we remember when she found that and keep hoping... take care😊
The mud skippers
Awesome results
Up here for thinking down there for Skipping
Awh haha love it!!! 😍
Oh those shoes are absolutely fantastic 😊 such great finds 👌 well done guys 👍
Thank you! They work an absolute treat! Can’t wait to access new locations now with them! Take care and catch you next week ☺️
Awesome adventure Mudpies! Loved both sets of Mud Tie-ons! You each made Mudpie T-Rex trails in the mud! Also liked your finds spot; that's a spot for more adventures. I did worry about the possibility of Josie doing a face plant with all the glass in her front pouch! What a good haul!
Glad you enjoyed it Karen 😊😊😊
I had a good giggle at your mud 'slappers', but obviously they served you well. What a lot of bottle remnants! Can't wait to see your 'Franken bottle' 😉. Also, you found your oldest pipe more or less at the same time as the Aussie Mudlark found one.
Loved the Mud Shoes, they certainly made walking on the mud better. Looking forward to seeing the candle holders made. I really enjoyed your video, take care till next week ❤️🇦🇺🦘xxx
Hey Siona! Thank you, they work so well - we can't wait to use them to access new locations! Will definitely be featuring the candle holders in a video soon! You take care and thanks again x😁
You should get a patent on your mud pattern shoes!!!! What a great invention! I would buy a pair if I lived there. Don't have mud like that in south Florida. We have treasures but their are in the ocean off the Treasure Coast where I live. So many ships from the 1500's on, are on the sea floor. Like the Atocha!!!
Loving the footwear lol! Those pipes are awesome. Looking forward to seeing the candle holders, the bottle necks are beautiful! Great video 😃 x
Thanks so much Amanda! The footwear is revolutionary! We can't wait to construct the candle holders and frankenbottle, We're gonna be very busy! Take care and thanks again x
Please go back there! What a treasure trove that is!
We will be back here very soon! Such a fruitful and beautiful location! Thanks for watching x
I found a fully intact mallet bottle while diving in the Caribbean Sea, just off shore of an 1800’s military fort, 35 years ago. I cleaned it up, took it home and still have it. Best of luck finding your first full one.
They are going to make fabulous candlesticks, what a place,.Many an inflatable dinghy probably met an untimely end drifting over that jagged reef of doom ! What are your plans for the bases, a window, a glass sphere ? so many goodies !!
Hello there, need a bit of time but the bases are going to be used in lamps. So many projects on the go at the moment. Take care 😊
Great video & finds. I love the mud shoes & what a juicy sound, sluurrpp sluurrpp. I love it. Thank you for sharing your happy experience.
Thanks for watching! Haha they are veryyy noisy! But also very effective - can't believe we hadn't done this earlier! Take care x
Mud shoes brillant! What an antik bottle grave. Congrats👍👍
Thanks so much Gabriele! They help an awful lot. Can't wait to take them out in new locations! 😍
Wonderful finds!! Great idea for your mud boots. Awesome video thank you for sharing👍👍👍
Glad you like them! They work so well! Thanks for watching Penny! x
Great mud shoes made the mudlarking easier
Definitely! Thanks for watching Ann! x
That was fun! The glass from the body of those bottles must have been extremely thin to not be found. Oh well, still juicy!
All you two need now are some poles to do some x-country mud skiing!😉
😂 I think you're right ski poles would really help! 😄
Smart " shoes "!!!!! I like this episod as every episode ....
Thank you so much! Pleased you like the shoes - they really are effective! X
🤣🤣🤣 challenge for Josie....... No wellies or sock lark next trip🤣🤣🤣
😂😂 imagine!
loved the noise they made as you walked in the mud some really good finds my fav was the pipe and stems xx
Thanks Carole! The noise is so funny, such noisy things! 😂 you take care and catch you next week x

Hello 👋 from New York USA WOW i can't believe all of the onion bottle pieces you guy's found I definitely want to purchase you're candlestick holder's when they are ready I'm so excited to see what you both find next 😀😊
Hey Tarra! Amazing, pleased you enjoyed it! We were completely stunned by how many pieces of these old bottles were out there! We will feature the candles in a future video and definitely let you know when they're available on our Etsy! x
Amazing mud shoes! Great video with all those lovely bottle necks. I loved how clear the water was when you got to it and the scallop shells , you should collect those for projects. Add a few to your candle stick and driftwood projects. Good job all around.
Thank you! We are blow away by the mud shoes and can’t wait to take them out into new locations and access new areas! The scallop shells are beautiful, you’re right we will have to pick some up next time 🤩. Thanks for watching, you take care x
What an adventure! Love the mud shoes. 💞💖💞
Thank you Louetta! We're super pleased with these mud shoes and will be taking them to new unexplored areas! 😊😊
I expect that you have started a trend with your new footwear and I wouldn't be surprised if we find other mudlarks on CZcams taking up this new mud gear!!!
We will see! Super easy to make too. Thanks for your support 😃
You might want to consider taking a probe out to the onion bottle location and gently probe for bottles in the mud.
We definitely will be! There’s just got to be a whole one around there somewhere...
the mud shoes are so smart now you wont be as tired when you leave. great idea from the past still works great!!! didnt see the one bottle with all the pieces i hope hou got most of them and can put them back and glue them into one whole bottle.
Thanks Dana! They really do work a treat! Yess, we still haven't attempted to piece one together but that will definitely feature in a future video! 😃😃
Still watching your videos that I haven't seen before
Thanks Janice!
Another great day out n video.you are both so funny n entertaining.lovely duo.cant wait to see your crafting.x
Thanks so much Julie! Can’t wait to show you the construction of our candle holders and frankenbottle!! 🤩
The Onion Fields!!
You may have to bring a toboggan with you next time! I would live to see something done with all the bottoms of the bottles to put in a window or a light-feature. The colours are amazing!
The mud-shoes are great!
Meant to add that the sound-effect is extra squelchy!
A mud skipping toboggan would be a great addition 😂 and yes the mud pattens are like permanently making farting noises ! Take care 😊
The mud shoes are great. What fun.
Pleased you enjoyed it!!☺️
After giving my Son some Lego for his Birthday I found myself saying Brick iiit! thats Josey's influence Lol!
Hahahaha amazing! x
Nice handmade mud boots!😜
Hello from Russia!👋
Hey!
Thanks so much we were really surprised by how effective they were! X
Loved watching you discovering the pattens. Beatrix Potter wore pattens on her farm. Would love to see a pair that she wore. Will try to find.
Yay!!! I was actually thinking there had to be a way to use something like snow shoes to walk on the mud and then here you are withe your mud-shoes!! Awesome finds, especially the pipes and stems! 💜
Thanks Alisa! Haha how funny! 😍 they work a treat - give them a go if you fancy venturing into thick mud! X
You both cheer me up! Mudpies forever!! Pure sunshine 🌞
Awh that's so lovely to hear Sue! Thank you 😊
Excellent finds 😊
Just a thought, but as a guitar player, I thought you could make slides out of bottle necks ? 😊
That’s a really cool idea! Neither of us play so not sure how that works but sounds wicked ☺️x
Hi pies I reckon someone got barred from all the local pubs and set up he's or her own pub boat 🙄🍀💯👍
Haha love that! Looks like they knew how to party 😂😂
Those mud shoes looked like so much fun 😁 loved all the finds especially the pipes and pipe stems 🥰 thanks for sharing 👍😊
Wow ,the iridescent on the bottles is amazing and more pipes and stems . Can't wait to see what you make with the bottle tops . 😊❤
Thanks so much Lynn 😊 It's our favourite thing about the old bottles too. Look forward to showing you the candle stick holders in a future video! x
Thats a great idea with the wood and simple, what fantastic finds, it looked liked modern art display with how you positioned the bottons, lovely area and Swan, q pair of Waders might bea good, investment it would save the washing ! Luv from UK 🇬🇧
Hey Jackie! Sorry for our delayed response, pleased you liked the bottle composition! ☺️ we’ve considered waders but they are a little heavy and the mud patten boots have so far enabled us to stay less muddy ( all relative though lol ) but we will get some at some point for sure!
Take care and hope to catch you in the next one!x
You’ve definitely found the motherload of onion and mallet bottles 😄. The pipes were also a great find, those long pipe stems were also impressive, shame there weren’t any bowls attached, hopefully there will be next time. Those mud walker thingies did a great job, maybe you need to start selling them on your Etsy store!
One day I’d like you to film yourselves getting into your car after a muddy adventure, I’m sure it’d be comical. 😆
Hello Tracey, it really was a great day out, treasures and adventure! We get some very funny looks and comments as we change in the car park before getting back into the car. Have a great weekend Josie and Andy 😃
Mud shoes are brilliant - and they made their debut at a perfect time. Great pipes again, I have always been a huge fan of pipes, but after seeing and hearing your excitement over the onion bottles - I'm becoming a fan. Will watch your Etsy site for the candle holders, I want one of those.
Thanks Bill just need a few weeks to make sure the design is sorted and they will be up in the store. Take care 😊
😂😂here in Holland were famous about woodenshoe's!
A little different ! But you you tried!❤🙄😂
Hahaha thank you for watching Marcel! 😂😂

@ Marcel, nee op klompen zompen valt niet mee
Love the pipe and the bottle bits are amazing.
Thanks Andy! So pleased with all the finds this week.😃
Loved the pipe
OMG! It really works. So simple and fun. They are just like snowshoes. Just a great video again. Now exactly I am trying to glue an onion bottle together. Just a shame we don't have all the pieces yet. But most of it we do. It is fun collecting pieces that belong together. Looking forward for the candlestick. Thanks for the video again and see you next week.
You are so welcome, can't believe we didn't make the mud pattens sooner ! Take care 😊
Love your mud shoes! Excellent innovation! You both walked so well in them! I’ve seen the bottom of the bottles made into trinket bowls. I’ll see if I can find an example. Well done on the pipes and stems! It’s proof that there are more out there!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you Nancy! They really are revolutionary! Ohh that sounds wonderful about the onion bases/trinket bowls, do share with us if you get a chance! x
Oh wow guys you did so good and had some amazing finds .. loved watching the adventures across the mud 🙌🏻
Thanks so much! Pleased you enjoyed it 🥰
Mud boots were ace, I can breathe out now when I watch you in the mum.
We kept wondering why we didn't make them sooner! 😄
Another great video thank you for taking us with you it would be lovely to find all the parts you could make a full onion bottle.
Hello Susan, wouldn't it! 😄
Oioi guys, wow mudpie tracks 😂😂😂 well done on the pipe and stems plus all the bottles and tops. God bless and stay safe and well and I’m glad your out and about. At least now you have mud walkers and can to some places you couldn’t before 🙏🙏🙏🥰🥰🥰👏👏👏👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️🇦🇺✨✨✨
oioiii thanks so much Chris! Hahaha yess the tracks look rather odd! So excited to venture into new areas with these shoes - hopefully our juiciest finds will reveal themselves!! Take care and catch you next week x 😃
@@Mudpies sure will 🥰🥰🥰👍👍👍
Loved it so much I didn't want it to end. I know it must be knackering but the time goes so quickly. You and your dad are adorable clever too. The Mudpie Mashers were an excellent idea and your dad is a neat builder, measuring and aligning screws. Just saying 😋 Love and Light to you both 😊
Aaah thanks Jane that's very kind of you. I have to say Mudpie Mashers is a great name for them😂. We've been out for hours in the Mashers today, they have really opened up so many areas. Hope you have a good week, Josie and Andy 😃
