- Heya Squelch Squad! Today we went full send and dug our biggest hole yet at our local Edwardian / Victorian dumpsite...It was rather fruitful🤩🤩🤩

The bone disk looks to be part of a baby pacifier . The CZcamsrs Northern Mudlarks have covered this in a couple of their vlogs. Refer to their 1year old vlog titled “Deadly Dummies & Mystery Finds” starting at 8:24 for another piece of the pacifier & at 9:17 to see the pacifier assembled w/ the disk.

I like the little demon 😈 I've found a fairly local dump that I got a rare local Cheshire pub beer bottle from and a lovely compass brand green coffee bottle, but it's right by a road, so I get nervous digging it 😂 Some cracking finds there!

The round bone thingy with the hole in its middle goes to a babies Dummy, or a Pacifier as we call them in the states♥️ only know this on account of Northern Mudlarks ☺️ 10:11

In the States we did have stuff called devilled ham that had a devil on it, but I can not remember what it looked like. That could be what your mom is thinking about. I have been gone from the States for a while and I do not even know if they still have it or not.

I noticed that someone is now trying to sell antique bottles at one of the consignment shops. You have made a big impression on someone here.
Hi guys! I love the deep blue bottle! My mom and grandma have always collected colored bottles! Usually blue, red and green! My grandma was mostly English but she had Irish and Dutch too! She lived to be 100!

What a Pleasant Surprise to see your video posted!! I think whoever was drinking the fruit salts needed the the magnesia to recuperate from the sour stomach. As far as the Philip's Milk of Magnesia goes, your bottle is an earlier blown variant. They later switched to a cobalt bottle that is very common here in the states. I will say that the dirt was flying out of that hole. Well done, those visits to the gym have definitely paid off Josie. Can't wait for part 2!!😀💪🚴♂🥐

There were many Red Devil brands in the US in the early 1900’s - one was a paint or varnish.
There was also a brand of lye called Red Devil that was used as a drain cleaner, it is mentioned in various blues songs - - and throwing lye in a person's face was how more than one blind bluesman became blind - - Blind Willie Johnson was a victim of this sort of assault.

The bone disc with the hole is from either a bone baby's dummy, or the horrible baby bottles of the day that had long rubber tubes that could not be properly cleaned, and caused a lot of infant mortality. The Northern Mudlarks have a couple of videos about them.
Dear Mudpies, the first bone piece you found is a nail implement. The point is for cleaning under the nail and the rounded end is for pushing back the cuticle.

The bone ring at 10:10 is part of a baby's dummy according to the Northern Mudlarks. The nipple would have stuck thru the hole.
I've never seen such a complete horse and soldier dug before.

Your mom was right about the devil being in an American advert campaign. There is a deviled ham in a tin good for spreading on what ever and eating it. It’s tasty with a tiny bit of bite to it. 👹😜♾️

You need to put large limbs and sticks crisscrossed over your hole. That signals that there’s a hole there for other people walking around and it mainly signals to other diggers that it’s a claimed hole and your coming back to it not to mess with it. I learned that on Manchester Mudlarks Sara showed a couple of holes that was marked like that and she spoke to the diggers and that’s what they told her.❤ very nice finds several unusual ones I love…❤
Awesome video! Great finds. Apparently the Eiffel Tower drink didn’t agree with someone who needed milk of magnesium! I believe the bone disc is part of a feeding bottle for babies. Love the stoneware. It is my favorite. 😊 The devil looks like the Mascot for Underwood’s Deviled Ham. It was quite gross. 😮

Josie, the bone ring is a part of a pacifier. The little devil is a vintage halloween devil that is usually put out with a black kitten. And Momma Mudpie was right, it hails from the 1970's.
Love the new video everything is super! The bone tool looks to me like a shuttle that would be used for making lace or fishing nets

Wondering if you ever thought of taking some of the pottery you find and cut them in half vertically and glue it to a board. This can be made into a wall hanging in which flowers and/or plants can be placed in for decor.

The mystery bone item looks very much like an old nail file with the metal piece missing. The sharp end is for cleaning under nails and it looks like there is a part for pushing back cuticles too.
