🧡🧡🧡
I love the relationship you have with your dad, Josie. You're 2 peas in a pod, both in looks AND personality! Lovely!
That beltometre is a bomb fuse dial.
The corked bottle and your reference to it being a Dracula bottle instantly made me recall you both in skeleton costumes last year. 😂
Just you wait till our Halloween video this year😂😂😂x
The brass mystery item is a WW1 Artillery shell fuse.... Great finds as usual 👍
Thanks so much Marie 😀x
@@Mudpies By mistske i put WW1... I meant to say WW2.
Yo Sludge Trotters!! Loved the video. 'Creeking' is my favourite vlogs you do. Take care, cheers, John.
Thanks 👍
I thought I liked the digging more but after this mudlark I am split down the middle.Really enjoy just watching the whole father & daughter aspect of your videos!❤
Thank you. We'll we'll be having plenty more digging and creek walking adventures 🙂 x
Can't believe you left that "butter dish" lid with the beautiful leaf pattern. I'll bet Mama Mudpie will let you have a tongue lashing for that!
It was just too big! 😂x
Oh sure.....😂😅😂
I was yelling at the telly when you put the Cheese Cover back in the mud. The Acanthus leaf design where the handle attached to the cover and the fact that it wasn't broken or cracked made it a Keeper in my book. It was missing the plate it fit on, but a rectangular plate might not be too hard to find!
Hello you two. My son said that your brass ring with numbers is a timecharger (or so) of a bomb nose. He has a complete one in his ww2 collectie. Nice finds ass always.
Interesting, it does have a solid feel to it. No broad arrow mark that we can see so unsure 🤔. Send us a pic if you can 😀👍x
My link may have been blocked, put shell delay fuse into your favourite search engine.
Probably U.S. then. No broad arrow on our stuff!
@@Mudpies would love to. How can I send you a picture??
@@joncolcord6047 not all components had a broadarrow and certainty none of the German stuff did.
I think your brass "dial" has to do with an artillery shell of some kind. I really liked the spectrum of finds
Interestingly that's the second comment that's suggested it's artillery related. That creek has seen a lot of life! Take care 😀 x
Yes, that is what I think, too. Also did I see part of a broad arrow which indicates government property?
Yep! Artillery. SiFinds finds them but not in such good shape.
You really need a Garrett carrot. So many coins seen on your video, were your dad found the big penny there were 3 more coins he missed. Maybe drag a magnet behind you as you slide along . Great video none the less.😂❤
By the way I am from Hamilton Ontario Canada.
Always love seeing those marmalade jars in such good condition.
I absolutely agree, being a big fan of marmalade ,,😀👍
Love the cre🎉ek walks,
They are our fave too! 😻
your father/daughter relationship is so awesome! I also love the items you find. 😊
Thanks so much 😊 x
Digging is cool but so happpy to see you back at the creek. It’s like that is your individual thing . Love you two and your videos. Always glad to see you too. Donna Michigan USA
Hello Donna, we will make sure we head back to that creek sometime soon! Take care ❤️
I Don't care what you guys do. Mud, Creek, or dump digging. That brass thing, to me looks like maybe a fuse piece for anti aircraft or something. Awesome video! Thank you!
Digs are always awesome, but I've definitely missed the creek! Weather and conditions permitting, am always happy to see you guys back here. ❤
Right, well we're heading back there soon when there's a nice low tide! Take care 😀 x
Mudpies you are spoiling us!
2 videos in the same week?!?!
Wonderful 😍
We're trying 😀x
I loved the leaf design on the large Cheese Keeper you left. Maybe you'll see it next mud Muck and be prepared with something to wrap the handle in before putting it upside down in the bottom of your bag... put smaller bots to bed in the Cheese "Sleeper'!
great stuff, that creek is a winner! love that green bottle, mostly for the color. too bad the low life lid wasn’t complete, I wonder what the whole image looked like? 🤔
It's from a famous painting by Sir Edwin Landseer ❤
The ball looks like the pumice from the wand of a Cape Code fire starter. Put it under the logs and light it up! The stone is submerged in a brass pot of kerosene between uses.
This was a super awesome episode! Thank you all for making and sharing this beautiful video!😊❤
Oi oi ! Thanks so much, we love those creeky explores x
I would love to find a BARTMAN jug with that Beltometer ! 😂🤣😂 Love it when you go to the creek, you find lots of treasures. Good job guys.👏
You and me both!💗
I adore your channel for the finds, the fun and the excitement...but...as a 57 year old USA person I watch MOSTLY for the awesome times and outings and experiences with the father/daughter relationship...and I've said it once before and you've commented on it (telling me how you know how blessed you are to be close) so no need to take time to comment again, but it makes me SO HAPPY to watch your adventures and outings. Thank you so much for sharing them!!!
Thanks Melanie, very much appreciated x
Pampered menial copy , just like Pavlov's dog . Awesome!👍
The brass dial looks exactly like being the dial of a special clock, with minutes and seconds on it. It is used especially for cooking and baking, if your oven does not have an alarm, which goes off at the times, when the cookies should be ready. It is kind of short time alarm clock. I can tell you the German word for this: Kurzzeitwecker. 😘 Try to say this. 😉
Thank you for sharing the experience and have a great day!
What a great slimy lark. You have recovered very good items this week. Always can't wait for your next video. I am awaiting my t shirt and cap. Take care, ❤️👩🦳👩🦳🐾
The brass mystery item looks like some kind of bomb fuse part. The other one is a No Clue.🤣
Thank you for the lovely video. Love the cod.
The round clay ball could be a depth checking weight from an old ship.
Hello there, just found out it's a fire ball and would normally be found in a Victorian fire hearth . Take care 😀 x
@@Mudpies
I looked up fire balls because I hadn't a clue what they were. The first web site stated ' fire balls a modern replacement for the fake logs, in ceramic or clay'. The old adage holds true, ' what was old is new again'.
Love the creek walks.
Great selection of finds.
Can't beat 'Up the Creak'. ❤ UK
The mystery piece looks like a fishing net weight. Good to see you at it, ty for taking us along
nice little adventure guys....love the codd. between you guys, ally sherlock, and nikola white, i spend most of my time in that hemisphere. love the brits unique expressions.
Thanks for watching!
Unreal first finds!
I love your precious kitty. Great episode too!!!
She's adorabubbles 😊❤
I can hear my late father used to say to us x5 sisters and a brother " when in town keep your window down " meaning to look around all the time as you don't know what is under your feet, whilst watching the video
Totally, there really is so much history literally under our feet! 🙂x
alright stoneeveryware nice 😊 excellent choice off colour Dad you nicely blend in 😂 nice finds my favourite is the big one. see you next time greetings Pieter
always a good watch
I would love to walk that water way. I see the mud skis are working for you,I love your finds today.
Mystery brass thing is the timer ring from a shell fuse, the annular channel in it would have contained the fuse powder and controlled the burn time before it detonated.
I love all of the videos!! Wet or dry… keep them up
Creek larking is my favourite :)
Outstanding finds mudlarking….thanks for taking us along.
Thanks Mickey, we were stoked with the blob top 😀💪
My favorite creek!!!
Wow, incredible day! Was this not the best bottle hunt ever?
Banger of a video!
Thanks Jesse! It's up there on our best creek larks, apart from the finds its just a beautiful place to spend time 👍😀
So glad you went back to the creek. So many more interesting finds there and a lot less work for your back compare to digging. 😉
Oh absolutely! We love messing about in this creek!
Brass dial ring is a delay fuse adjuster on a large artillery projectile. Google old artillery fuse.
Oh, my finds after finds. Josie, I LOVE your hair!!
Why thank you 😊 x
Hey hey lovelies! 😊✌️
Hello Karen from your heavenly blue creek to our muddy one! 😂x
@@Mudpies 😍💙🤩⚱️
Excellent muddy lark!
hI, love your videos, happy to watch whatever adventure your having, mix it up please. Great haul from the creek, don't know how you see the treasures among all those shells and detritus. Cheers, thanks for taking us along for the journey, and have a great week.
some awesome finds mudpies wow thank you x
I love the creek mudding!
😊❤
Great to see you both out squelching again! Love the cod bottle and ofcourse the stoneware! Some mystery objects as well! Oi..oi from Oz! ❤️😀
Glad you enjoyed it Oi oi back at you! Take care 😀 x
love a bountiful creek haul.
😀🙏x
I really love watching you find your treasure on that creek!
Thanks 👍
It doesn't matter where you are or what you're doing, I'm there for it. Just can't get over the dynamic the two of you have, just lovely.❤😎😎😎😎
We really appreciate that! 😀x
Wonderful finds , can't but be sad that you left the cheese keeper top. Would have been a great shelf sitter at minimum, it's beautiful.
Agreed...🧀😢.
Great finds and so many of them and unusual ones too. Great lark. I like all you do as its all so interesting and you work so hard on the dumps. Keep them coming please.😁😁😁
Thanks 👍
Loved the video! Think the old brass object is a fuse timer from a projectile fired at enemy aircraft
Thank you! Yes , confirmed it's an artillery shell fuze 😊❤
Very much enjoyed!
Thanks Sean, we love this Creek! We were stoked to pull out a blob top just like one you recently featured.Hope all is well with you. 😀👍💗
I would also love to explore that creek!@@Mudpies
@@SaltwaterSean of you're ever in the UK we'll take you!
So much fun to watch your interaction with each other, seems like a wonderful relationship between Dad and daughter! Thank you for slopping through the mud to find such great discoveries! Your videos bring great chuckles!
Our pleasure we love a good bit of muddy exercise 😁
We would search for bottles along a stretch of mudflats where a town once was located. We found bottles laying on top that were turn of the century but I decided to bring a rake with me one day to dig down a little deeper. We ended up with five Cathedral pickles! With the help of that rake we found so many more bottles! You guys might try it in that creek. Might find a few nice onions down deep.
We've thought about this, just don't want to damage too much of the bank /river bed. We've got good relations with current boat users along this busy creek. Sounds like you found some epic bottles ❤️😀👍
I love watching you whatever you do, but it was amazing to see you walking the creek bed again. Stay safe and healthy!
Thanks Anita, our happy place 😀 x
So glad to see a video from you
I had been missing the creek walks, I like and appreciate all your videos. I love your interactions with your Dad. Some great finds this week!!
Thanks so much😊
I love the Cree king and the Roman spot you hunt in.
I like the creek walks along that particular creek, you always seem to find a lot of bottles when you walk there. I'd say that it's better to focus on creek-walking and mudlarking during the warm months, and bottle-digging in the winter when the nettles are dead. Don't know if you already do this, but carrying a bit of wire coat hanger with you would make it easy to clear the mud out of bottles when found and allow them to drain out.
Top idea, funnily enough Dad spent a while looking for twigs to clean out the bottles! We'll be back at the dump in a month or so and wait for some storms to stir up the mudflats! Take care x
I love when you go to the creek!
👍😀x
Great finds! My theory about the ceramic “ball” is that it was for conking unsuspecting people on the head with a rope through the middle.… possible used by a press-gang.😜
Oh!!! And I meant to add that I love all your hunting trips but I especially like your creek slogging, something I absolutely couldn’t do because I am not mobile much any more. Walking in mud would be impossible. I can participate vicariously.
I just love it when y’all visit that creek !!
Great finds Andy and Josie. Happy to see you back. 🤗💛
Thanks Karyn 💗
It’s great to see you back sloshing around the creek.
Here’s hoping you go back soon. It’s turning cold here in Ontario. We were spoiled all summer up to last week.
I really enjoy the watery episodes the most.
Your brass dial makes me think about a safe dial.
Till next time… bye for now 👋🇨🇦👋
The red ball could be an old clay fishing net weight. Brass piece is artillery shell fuze piece.
"Activating hunchback mode"😂😂
🤣
What a great stream slog !! Belters and oddities galore 😛😛I haven't got a clue on the numbered dial (?) I go with boaty thing too. I kinda thought the big round thingy might be a decoration off a fancy wrought iron fence 🤔nope, has a hole in both ends, unless a tiny sat on top 🤨😆🙄 Oh dear, there go the bats from my belfry... 😵💫..Loves my funny Mudpies and puss too. Stay safe and healthy, don't care if it's mud, water or dirt next time, I'm there !! Hugs 🥰🥰 xx
Well done! Great episode.
Ohh, I love the genii bottle Josie found! And the blob top.
It's so good! x
I must say i loved the glide across the mud, dads got that technique to a t
Pleased you spotted that I was quite proud of it too 😄 x
Getting down and dirty with the Mudpies!
Very dirty, believe me washing up those bottles was horrendous 😂
@@Mudpies labor of love no doubt.😊
Great finds and video. Such fun. Thank you
Hello 👋 from New York USA you Guy's found some Amazing finds my favorite definitely was the two stoneware ink pots Thank you for bringing me along with you guy's I can't wait to see what you find next 😊
Thanks Tarra❤️
Thanks for sharing with us
Thanks mudpies, I think the mystery item is off some sort ordnance !! Maybe 🥴
What a haul! The backstory of the creek is fascinating! God bless!
Thank you 👍😊 x
Loved the creek!
These were all super finds. I would have to list pretty much all of the items for my favorites. I love watching your videos. I don't have a favorite type of trek, though I love the muddiness. Just please keep up the adventures and videos. You are my favorite on You tube for mud larking, both alone and with guests.
That's a wonderful comment, thanks so much 😊x
Glad to see you back in the mud making great finds. I like the cod the best.
Thanks 👍
Love the cod!
I always enjoy watching your videos! Thanks so much for sharing! Great finds 👏 😊 ❤
You are so welcome💗
I love the creek finds.
😎💕
Love it when your video hits my feed!! Beautiful finds!
Our pleasure, this was a great adventure x
Catching up on your vids with a binge night of Mudpies malarkey lol! Cracking video again, guys! Loving your hair down Josie, absolutely stunning!! 😊😊
Oh, the knife. Your scratching it 😮
What a way to start back to the mud! Wonderful finds...the mystery finds have my imagination going. Round heavy ball, could it be a mould for a cannon ball? The brass item reminds me of the timing mechanism for a WWII air dropped bomb. See? Imagination overload, lol! Have a wonderful week Mudpies Family, thank you for a great muddy adventure!
Hello Julianne, we have since found out that the round object is a Victorian fire ball. It was used in the fire to lift the coals and help radiate heat. Spot on about the artillery fuze. Take care 😀 x
Wonderful episode Mudpies, love dads blob top and the cod, the creek is always a winner
Cheers Iain! The sense of having to sneak up on those disguised muddy finds in the creek is lovely x
How wonderful ! A great selection
Thanks 😊👍 x
She throws the strange cylindrical object and it explodes like Gurney Haleck blowing up the shield wall at Arakeen. Atomics!
The sleeper must awaken 👊
I wonder if that ball maybe a fishing net weight to hold the net down to the ocean floor or perhaps a warp-weighted loom weight? , either squelching in the mud or digging through the soil, I love seeing your awesome finds you get,
that brass item looks like the timer for an artillery round
Yes you could very well be right 👍🤔
You guys collected so many cool things time! Congrats on finding a full cod bottle Josie! That clay thing looks like it may go on a boat somehow! It kinda looks like a giant bead! Mama Mudpie could probably make a fall wreath and use that as the center, with some rope ribbons and wire! Just saying! I’m always thinking of how craft things!
🙋🏼♀️🇺🇸🙏🏼
It does look like a giant bead! It's so heavy it would give you a serious neck work out😂. Thank you, take care 😊x
I love all your larking videos! Keep them coming!
Thank you! Will do!
Great adventure ! So good to see you on your feet again!! ❤🦘
More to come! ❤️
