Here is an idea for all the green or blue bottles that are really common. Make a bottle tree. I see them often here. Basically a pole in the ground about 8' tall with wooden dowels sticking out like branches at about 40 degrees. Bottles are placed on the dowels neck down and you can add LED light in each bottle. They can look awesome at night all lit up. Might be something Mamma Mud Pie would like.

WOW ... what a rain storm. That bottle you Dad picked up with the roundish bottom ... did you find out what it was used for. Maybe a bottle used in a lab?
We think it was a laboratory boiling vessel of some description. We seem to have misplaced it though! 😀

I watch a lot of crafting channels and their sticking bottle brush Christmas trees in everything, even doorknobs. They look amazing. so tell momma mudpie. Those little jam jars make gorgeous ornaments also.

Firstly,darn it,Josie,I forgot to thank you for a second mudlarking dinosaur drawing!!
I love it,I’m looking at him right now,as he,NO,She,is blasting fire from a clay tobacco pipe!
I suspect this particular pipe dates to 1760 or thereabouts,judging by the shape and size.
Also,as I peruse the mighty tome,written by the equally mighty Richard Hemery,the voluminous stack of information known as “Sherd”,I see that a certain Josie and Andy are,amongst others,that are given thanks by Richard.
Others were thanked as well,which only proved that the two of you,NO the THREE of you(Hi Momma Mudpie❤️) are in very honorable company indeed.

I was recently talking to a great guy ,Adam,a young mudlark down in Kent.
He mentioned that he knew who you guys were,and that you were no strangers to his local squelching ground.
I said to him,totally joking,”Dood!! You gotta hook me up with Josie!!! I’ll treat her to a fine fish and chips date!!!”
He had a good laugh,as I am 52 years old,a Josie date would be downright absurd!
Regarding the fish and chips fantasy date with Captain Josie,it just occurred to me,you are vegan,I think.
Fish is a delightful vegetable,it goes so nicely with chips and the sauce known as Tartar.
Ah,I tried to make a dream come true,can you blame me?

Hunting after a storm is always fun. I detected a five foot beach cut a few weeks ago in Florida and was picking up coin after coin 40, 50 and even 60 years old when they were made of alloys that stood up over time.
I received my order from spingobeans in exactly a week in the US. Some sweet little glass stoppers and a photo-zine. Those pictures would make great stand alone prints suitable for framing 👍

I'll take a look at that brass piece later on. I'm still watching, but it looks like something from a carburetor.
I can promise you two this, once my woodshop is up and running I will be getting in touch for all sorts of items, the tiles, sea glass, broken bottle tops and so on I will buy to add / integrate into my custom tabletops and furniture items made from Canadian driftwood. Your items are absolutely beautiful. And as a direct descendant of British / Irish immigrants I'd be stoked to have your stuff exclusively in my designs. Wish me luck that it is up and running in 2024.

Unfortunately they were all too wonderful....I'm going to have to keep them all instead of giving for Christmas gifts. LOL. Thanks for sharing the finds and wrapping so lovingly.

I sure hope you took some pictures of that mossy barge, and I give you both credit for putting yourselves in the riverside during that major storm.
Whenever I go mudlarking along the Delaware I find several indigo poisons, some of them are complete. They're some of my all-time favourites!
There's actually a site nearby where I live that use to manufacture a "medicine" from the Victorian era called Greens August Flower Syrup, they used to discard the unused bottles in the ground near the production plant, and I have found some of them in tact.
I love the fact that people were so sloppy back then, yet we're able to harvest their sloppiness into treasures of today.
Keep digging and squelching, and thanks for selling your Photo-zine! I love it!

The Delaware River is south a few states from Maine I think.
I confuse it with the Potomac in Washington DC.

That first insulator is a good one! It's a rediffusion radio terminal type from the old days of wired radio! It's always nice to get radio relay insulators as they don't show up everywhere! I'm only 3rd of the way through the video, so I'll comment more most likely 😂

That was quite a storm you two brave souls ventured out in. Too bad the milk glass pot with its top was so smelly.
I would have ground the goop out in the mud just to keep it. They are super rare.

Can’t you, papa Mudpie, cut those egg cups and other broken round objects so they are flat on one side? Then Mama Mudpie can attach them in a shadow box or onto a flat board and have a small plant or dried flowers “growing” in it. I love your enthusiasm!!!!❤TN Nana

When I first looked at tour brass mystery item, I thought (periscope). Hmm .... Very Cool green doorknob and tiny blue poison. I laughed when Josie was brave enough to give that little container the sniff test at the bottle dig, after seeing that episode with the face cream container, on the mud flats Lol. Do they make all-weather insulated cases or umbrellas for go-pros? Collectors of insulators would probably do a swap for those beauties you left behind. Congrats on twenty thousand subs! Your holiday shop items are looking good, especially Mama Mudpie's creations. : )

cold & wet! but love our beautiful mountains & forests (we see Mt. Hood every time we drive out of our neighborhood). but if i could travel anywhere in the world i'd choose England 1st as i've come to love your country thru all the videos on utube in the last few yrs.
Don't forget to get all the broken uranium glass. It sell for high value . People grind it down to mix in paint then make crafts with the glowing paint . Because the uranium glass was outlawed here in the states in 1940s.

Also wanted to say how I just love the father-daughter bonding. I am lucky to also have that same bond with my dad. I am heading to Scotland to do some mudlarking and bottle digs. That little white dish with the lid may have been used for cold creme, although it sure as heck didn't resemble cold creme when you opened it. Lots of belters on this dig.

I can't believe you guys went out in the mud in that storm. Reminds me of the time you were huddled underneath a bridge or pier shooting a vid in wild rainstorm. Have you ever seen the CZcams user Below The Plains? He's a young guy in the northern midwest region of the U.S., he finds where old houses and hotels were 100 years ago and he digs up pits that used to be outhouses. it's amazing how many bottles he finds in tact. The fact that he digs through 100+ year old human waste to find belters is pretty amazing to me.
