It's open for 5 minutes and already a BMW has been knackered
I feel like these people don’t even realise how fucked their car is.
That car is completely totalled. There’s no coming back from that.
Hope they have good insurance!
@@99domini99 No insurance is going to pay for deliberately driving past a "road closed" sign into a flood.
It's not 'open'. The road is still closed. It's just temporarily not blocked.
Correct me if I'm wrong but don't BMWs have low air intakes? Meaning it is easy to hydraulic lock your engine, and thus need an engine rebuild.
@@TheSpotify95 I think some do but in that depth of water I doubt it would make that much difference!
Nobody seems to know what an air intake is, or where it is, except the guy with a snorkel and he is very pleased with himself
But did he remember about where the axle breathers are? Do you reckon the axles are pleased with themselves? Or do you bet that the oil in the diff is now a sludgy mess of brown mud and contaminated oil?
nah sealed units@@brianhoskins1979
How do people think that cars work?
I really don't understand how so many people can be so clueless.
@@brianhoskins1979 Diff breathers on a vitara of that era are plumbed pretty high - top of engine bay and near the top of the rear light cluster IIRC
@@jongmassey good information! 😊
0:17 At least it has enough blinker fluid 😂
Seems very murky though, so no wonder it broke down.
Of couse it has, it's a BMW 😂
It's a blinker fluid refuelling station
ChrisFix will be very impressed 😂
Look at all the tears building up in the BMW's eyes
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😢😢😢😅😅😅😅 0:28
The car is so upset what the driver did to it.
It's the new goldish aquarium option.

I really despair for humanity, and the UK 🇬🇧.
Me too!.. it's embarrassing!!
Don’t despair for me, I’m intelligent.
Don’t worry about us. We’ll be fine
@@jonniepotter1194ja ja das sieht man ich sag nur brexit😂😂😂😂
The intelligence of the English has been falling for centuries, especially following the Industrial Revolution. Each generation is dimmer than the last, as the hordes of morons out breed the few remaining intelligent people. Normally in survivalist nature, intelligence confers a survival advantage within anatomical restrictions, but in modern times the dullards are rewarded with breeding success. The ability to learn from experience as illustrated here has all but died out while any rare spark of critical thinking and adaptive reasoning is met with indifference. It’s an ideal breeding ground for sociopathic government and autocracy.…a trailer for the film “Idiocracy” illustrates the situation.
Apparently the road is closed for a reason but people don't understand why why 😢😢
A farmer has decided it’s now open 😂
@@AilingSquid Long live the farmer.
Anyone driving through a body of water like that has serious flaws in their thinking and maybe shouldn’t be driving in the first place.
At the end of the day, tractors and some vehicles are quite capable and should be allowed to use it.
Why should they suffer because of village idiots in lowered BMWs.
The coppers are going to have a field day with these videos, as the road is closed and there is a TRO in place, as well as the insurance companies, when they put a claim in they will say no thanks... time for these idiots to lose there licenses full stop
Jesus what was that BMW thinking. Recovery guy looked like he was trying not to crack a smile
I imagine that if you ignore the " Road Closed " signs , that your insurance claim will be rejected .
Hope he's finished paying for it .
Pretty sure that's why the road was officially closed long ago anyways. Insurance companies kept seeing Rufford as the location the flood damage occurred and just started denying the claims knowing the owners were probably negligent, thus leaving the owners holding the bill. Owners started pointing the finger at local municipality (since they can't take responsibility for their own decisions) to foot the bill since it was a "hazard" and they simply shut the road down.
@@DunderMifflinPaperCo. It was closed due to safety concerns from dangerous driving. Nothing to do with car insurance companies.
@@gregmarking6716 yeah, had nothing to do with the local municipality getting phone calls from people demanding that they pay for the damages to their vehicles since the insurance wouldn't.... totally not the reason.
Dipped headlights indeed😅
😂😂😂👏
There's some really thick people out there..😮
I don't understand why people still drive through there, especially when it's officially closed. I generally don't understand why people these days KNOW SO LITTLE about a car that they don't understand how the intake is sucking air into the engine! I feel like people get totally disconnected to the the cars they drive. The further back you go the more people know basic functions of a vehicle. 😰
Oooh new sport, fishing using a JCB instead of a line
There's that joke about 80s cars' manuals describing how to check valve clearances, but new cars' manuals warning you not to drink the antifreeze.
That's progress. We don't need to know how our cars work, because they're so well-designed, so we can spend that time and energy learning more important things. How much do you know about the inner working of your computer or phone?
cars filled with water are write offs - i had my BMW sprayed by the fire brigade for a small fire on the rear seat - had to wave bye bye, annoying cos I'd just had it re-bored. At least the insurance paid out. They won't for this guy as they will deem it deliberately destroyed.
Sie werden davon ausgehen dass es ein Vollpfosten ist und ein extrem dummer Mensch😂😂😂😂😂 schade um das schicke KFZ mit der schönen blauen Lackierung 0:28 😢😢
You wouldn’t want a drowned car back either.
Even if you dry it all out, that car is going to be an electrical nightmare for the rest of it’s life.
Every single connector in the wiring looms running under the carpets is gonna get corroded, ground loops are gonna get corroded and make poor contact, modules that got wet can be kissed goodbye, it’s rarely worth it to put a drowned car back on the road.
A fifty year old car with no more electronics than headlights and taillights maybe, until it falls apart as everything starts rusting from the inside out.
@@99domini99 exactly, it might run OK for a while but then get weird, hard to diagnose problems
The guy at the end who got paid to make such majestic waves with his orange machine was under a lot of pressure to perform yet he did not falter.
Guy must have driven down, seen all those 'road closed' signs, concrete blocks in the road and feet deep water and thought "Huh, I wonder why all that is there" before driving in.
And probably didn't learn from it and will do it again.
That's fun, always wanted to drive a luxury car into a flood.
Man in the JCB is a legend. Doing a public service.
Matey in the JCB will need a bigger bucket to bail all that out 🤣
I couldn't work out what he was doing, was he putting the bollards back?
Very normal look for the BMW. Broken down. From St.Paul,Minnesota.
Looking for the other barricades the tractor demolished lol
What is that guy thinking in the bmw, never gonna make it.😂
His midlife crisis had a point to prove! 😂😂
He had no idea what an air intake is!
I drove through some flooded roads in Cheshire a couple of years ago. EVERY car that was stuck in water was a BMW and that's no exaggeration
Perfect bow wave from the Vitara.
“I’m in a BMW, I can do whatever I….oh, wait…”
Maybe we should stop putting warning labels up everywhere, and just let stoopidity weed itself out!
lmfao the concrete blocks are still left there by that farmer's tractor dredging them up when he drove through
Admiral Insurance: "If you take a risk and drive your car into a flood, you may not be covered for any damage caused." Oh, dear! 😂
fully comp covers accidental damage, no loss
@@EazyDuz18 Driving through a "road closed" sign into a flood isn't an accident. Try claiming after driving deliberately into a wall and see how far you get.
@@EazyDuz18willingly driving through water on a road that is closed (albeit not blocked) is not an 'accident' though.
thats literally what fully comp is for@@ubergeekian
@@EazyDuz18 Try reading the "small print" and you will find that it does not cover "STUPIDITY" and then only pays out for third party damage.
Thank you for the videos from Rufford ford today Tom, we really appeciate the videos that you do.❤
No not all of us, some of us consider this is fueling the stupidity by encouraging exposure on social media.
Nice to see that the "Road Closed" signs have miraculously re-appeared after all those who were commenting on the tractor, only yesterday, failed to see them.
Thanks from Costa Rica.
Good luck claiming on the insurance for that BMW if the road was still officially closed .. which I believe it was
Looks like there's a sort of range war going on with those concrete blocks. I guess it'll come down to who's got the most powerful tractor...!
That tractor driver reminds me of the fellow who lashed his horse despite the animal knowing it could not manage the task.
Honestly he should be fired for treating equipment like that
@@LegendLength I think he owns it...
Liquid cooled headlights. 👌
A new meaning to dipped beam 💦
The wet look makes that blue really pop !😊
My ❤ always skips a beat when I see a Suzuki here🇯🇵
I think a broken splitter on the bmw is the least of its worries
BMW. The Ultimate Diving Machine.
I'm watching from Houston where we get a fair share of rain and flooded roads! This boggles my mind on how so many people just non-chalantly speed through a flooded road like it's nothing!!!!
The guy in the blue Beemer - you can't help but laugh at a dung beetle.
one less BMW on the road LOL
Well that's why they call it a splitter! 😂
I only watched a video a few hours ago of huge concrete blocks being put down to stop numty drivers going threw it. Have they been removed or where they put down after wards I’m assuming.
A tractor driver went thru and pushed them out of the way. He might be the pillock with the BMW as he didn't seem to care about the damage he was doing to £100k+ of machinery
@@Fabulousprofound168 😳
@@smorris12he didnt damage any farm machinery 😂 good on him and the rest of the farmers trying to get through, they got promised a quick solution 12months ago and are being made to travel miles around it instead, just think of the fuel bill they're having to pay out
@@smorris12 When the tractor went through, the blocks were already moved and submerged in the ford. It dragged them out again. It wasn't the tractor that moved them from their wall formation.
@@maybenot6075 A fuel bill is a lot cheaper than a new engine because you hydrolocked the cylinders.
is it gonna open again?
Thats why their indicators never work 😂😂😂
...."but Dad!....the car's LOWERED!!" "Ah, don't worry, Son....it'll be FINNNE!"
Is it open again?
good to see it open ha ha
Omg the water that came out
We had two BMW's wreck their engines in a flood outside our house on Friday. Is there something about BMW drivers???
The short answer to your question...Most Definitely...!
Needs a sign that reads"Your car will NOT run under water"
Typical BMW driver, thought he was invincible. So funny. 😂
An RAC man told me 20 years ago that BMWs in particular as screwed in flood areas due to their very low air intake . Yet still ......
Tonight there will be police cars with bored looking officers blocking the road off for a fortnight until the council come to put the barriers back.
Another three minutes of having my jaw stuck firmly to the floor.
It’ll be fine. The M Performance decal on the side skirt will repel all water ingress
With fixed permanent road signs clearly stating "Flood ROAD CLOSED AHEAD" will the insurers even bother paying out to this tool of a BMW driver...?!?
Nope
They most certainly will not pay out. They will want all the detail, what day, what time and WHERE..... the last one will instantly seal his fate. Also they will most likely be aware of all the filming at this "now famous" ford......He's well and truly fkd. What idiot does this to a cool car like that ( even though I am not a Beemer fan )
A cat has better sense than these humans. 👇
BMW = Buggered by Muddy Water
Ahhh the cabbages getting their vehicles recovered !!😂😂😂
BMW drivers 🤣🤣
Intelligence is definitely missing😉😉
Oh, another BMW, how predictable. Oh, and the driver is wearing a cap and bluetooth. 😅
Liquid-cooled headlights: the latest must-have option
Blinker fluid is a must have👇
Closed, indefinitely.
2 minutes later! Cars on film
I think the JCB driver wanted to play in the water 😅
What was the boke in the JCB doing? Just out to waste a day away?
The BMW aqua ain't working out...
The Vitara shows how it should be done…….. that and a periscope air intake 😂
Depth sign = 3 feet deep
BMW driver "yeah my salon car can ford that"
❤
...and do the insurance companies look at this and note the registration numbers and sit back waiting for the "it was parked and the road flooded around me" claim?
BMW needs a headlight fluid change, thats looking a bit too murky
😂😂😂😂.. Couldn't have happened to a nicer car brand.. 1 less muppet bmw driver off the road.. Would love to have heard the phone conversation with his insurance company.. " Yeah hi, im an idiot bmw driver who completely ignored the road closed signs, because road rules don't apply to us bmw drivers, and i drowned my car.. what do you mean you wont oay out?"... lol
What was the jcb doing mucking around in a road closed situation ?
checking to see where the other concrete block was
The road leading up to Rufford Ford,
should be renamed Plonker's End.

You cant take on the the infamous Rufford Ford and expect to survive
BMW! It's a fish tank!
Freedom for Ruffords Ford!
OH NO he damaged the splitter
Do these people not watch rufford ford videos or do they see it as a challenge?
Anyway, I'm off to centre parcs next month. Game on!!
Why do people go through ‘Road closed’ signs ?
I’m guessing this will void their insurance claim???
Why was it reopened after clearly no road modifications and after storm babet where it was already flooded?
It wasn't reopened. There was some combination of the barriers getting moved by the flood waters and a tractor towing a large farmer's trailer deciding to take matters into their own hands and literally drive over and drag the submerged concrete blocks out of the way. See the other video, seems quite deliberately done (I guess trying to use the flood as an excuse).
Something definitely a bit fishy though with one of the original CZcamsrs there at suspiciously the right time to capture it happening even though the road has been closed for the best part of a year.
@@maniamuse1319 now seen the tractor footage, odd behaviour. Cheers.
00:35 splitter is last thing that owner is worried
🤣😁💯👍👍👍
Your gearbox and axles can still draw in water with the “chill” effect on the air inside… unless you have sealed, high level breather tubes fitted to your gearbox etc, … don’t wade…
All these people driving into the flood look educated
Some people really shouldn't have a driving licence!
You made a tourist attraction there, start charging people money to witness the beauty of car destruction
Did they really opened it and people dived in straight away to submerge their expensive cars 😂😂😂😂 those BMW drivers 😂
I see the concrete blocks laying there, so I guess this is after a farmer moved them with his tractor.
Why don't the council add a pair of gates similar to what they have in Scotland or on the Snake Pass when the snow closes roads. The ford is an important route for many residents and farmers but treacherous when it floods and the idiots are running late on the winter school run. The obvious answer is to close it only when its too deep.
looks like a good place to buy flood cars
😂
if people had brain cells hey lol
