This was a live video, the internet here isn't good, that's why the video quality isn't good. Sorry for the inconvenience
Looked fine from here Tom.
It's OK ty for sharing 🎉
If only councils put this much haste and action into filling potholes.
Their No. 1 priority is to exercise their power.
Our servanst have become little Napoleons.
💯
Meanwhile downstream, Retford has been issued a danger to life severe flood warning that you would think would be the only priority. But no, their priority was to ensure that drivers can't go through a ford for clout.
Or fixing actual problems…….
They should have built a bridge
What we do in Lincolnshire is build these bridge things. They are very clever.
U wot m8?
sounds like witchcraft to me
@@mackattack192yes,then they dangle women from them to determine if they are witches. Made me laugh out loud, comment of the day.
It will never catch on
Mark my words.
What's a 'bridge'? Sounds like somekind of medieval witchcraft or dark mystic magic?⚠️😲🤔
If the Council had any sense🤣 they should have put the barriers as a chicane then at least the Farmer's tractor can get through
my thoughts too
No council has any sense
A chain can make quick work of those in about a minute lol, if the tractor guy really wants to pass through there.
The closures should be noted at either end of the road of high water. This way the residents of the area will be able to still get to their homes without all the extra traffic. The barriers should be bright in color, but not blocking the full path way. If a farmer comes down the road to the barriers across the road, there is not enough room to turn around with hauling a large long trailer. Hopefully things will be sorted on the councils part.
@@bobtailedtrucker2521I don’t stay there but the are doing what they are told to do
Council working on a sunday, what universe is this!
Council working🍾🍾
Expensive one!.
Overtime.
Double bubble
❌ Town downstream has threat to life flooding.
✔ Increase barriers at ford to prevent CZcams clout.
Priorities.
Looks like a fun John Deere obstacle course they’re setting up
The Rufford fjord rally should be an annual event!
MAKE RUFFORD FORD GREAT AGAIN
You brought me a smile, many thanks.
@@danielmarshall4587 Glad to be of service 🙂👍 Keep smiling 👍
@@MattyEngland I will, thanks again.
Who's the guy with the crazy haircut on the little walkway bridge at the beginning, it cracked me up as it reminded me of one of the Muppets or the guy kept chained up in the Goonies 😂😅I had to rewind it. Made me cry with laughter .😅😂
It's the guy out of Yazoo.
Give it a couple of days, those barriers will be outside the town hall, in a heap.
Hope so, farmers are getting angry
Already been dragged out by a tractor with trailer.
@@JohnJackson-mn4ts nice one, lol
Days? A couple of hours.
It's like what the point in keeping it closed, there are no businesses there now. Plus, I'm sure that the farmers Tractor was bigger, and he's going to be pulling an Arnie in T2. " I'll be back " 😅
I hope that the farmer with the green John Deere tractor comes and opens it back up again 😂
He already did.
@@simontay4851 I was on about doing it again
😂😂 the bloke with the worn out bog brush hair cut was worth the watch 😂😂
what a guy!
...I thought it was Sloth out of the Goonies for an instant.
Do you mean Kim Jong Un ?
Beaker from the muppets 😂
Possibly someone having a 'mid life crisis' nudge. nudge !
Somebody go give that Farmer a shout who shifted them all the first time!! He will deal with this in 10 seconds flat!! 😂
someone give him the bill for all the work he caused
He is already being investigated for moving the blocks last time and breaking a TRO! And I am sure he is more sensible than you.
@@Rumouruk"investigated" 😂
Nice to see a trainee on the wheel digger having a crack at it, we got to give the novices have a chance.
You are far more charitable than I am, I just thought 'that chap has never driven for a private firm, must be a council worker'.
@@flower-ss2jtafter this he had a 3 day tea break
@@stephen3654 Council workers and tea breaks...it took council workers 6 weeks to build a play area near me as they gave themselves 3 tea breaks a day - and the 'day' ended at 3.30!
Yes that jake operator was useless 😂😂🤣
@@richardcowdrey5124 I'm sure you mastered it in your first hour yeah
Where can i find the GoFundMe page for that farmer?
I'm sure the farmers can come back and remove them once they gone 😉🤣
This channels most recent video with the farmer in shows exactly that 🤣
@@LondonFazerRider Well done that farmer.👍
All they need is a similar JCB or tractor with front loader. Now the council has shown them how it's done.
Surely those blocks would need reflectors added to be legal obstructions of the public highway?
Not necessarily. If a "Road closed ahead" sign is installed further up, along with an "Access only", it's fine. Just like you driving down a dead-end road and expecting flares at the end of the road, I guess - so you can see the house you are about to crash into
@@deanknight4789Expecting to see flares 😂😂😂😂😂😂
It never ceases to amaze me why they just don't build the road 2 feet higher and be done with it.
Too thick for that. And the money it'd cost ...councils won't spend anything now.
How would the water flow ? You do understand what a ford is ? A bridge would be the only option.
@@arokgod They need money to feed illegals.
@@scottigertiger6430 There is a thingi called culvert, you dont need a bridge for a creek.
@@ingo_8628 have you seen the amount of water that flows during a flood at that site? If a completely open ford goes under 5ft of water, how bad do you think it will be if you just have a 50cm culvert? It would need a bridge of some kind, but it would have to be very open to allow the water to keep flowing, even in flood.
Is it just me being picky or would it have been smarter to but the painted block in the middle/front so it could be seen easier?
And who are you? Head of the common-sense-council? Don't you know this costs extra?
common sense is a rare thing these days
You're not a council employee, are you.
@@dcdc358 Love that comment! Regular council would require another working day to implement such procedures too! The overrun on the budget would be insane.
@@daveffs1935 Sadly that's a fact. Should be obvious to most.
you can get concrete blocks with gaps spaced high and far enough apart to let tractors though, but not cars. Would seem like the perfect option for here..
The guy putting those blocks there, used to be an orthodontist.
speed bump either side. is that difficult?
Amazing they found budget to do this. But when there's fly tipping on the entrance to a field or a road full of pot holes its a different story.
Hey Tom keep me posted so we can see the completion, I am really excited to see what the new roadway will looks like and especially after the heavy rains.
Will continue to follow the videos on the construction process if you will.
They never act this quickly for anything else 😂😂
Retford has a threat to life severe flood warning with homes ruined, lives destroyed and infrastructure at a standstill but their priority was to barrier a road to stop drivers seeking CZcams clout. Priorities.
The insurance companies had a whip-round
Yes what a difference, remarkable.
Good to see you back in action , 😊
I do hope they are going to make the blocks more visible at night otherwise it will be costly for both parties
Just keep moving them. Come on farmers 👍
GO ON...... I'll say it, like to see the tractor "bunny-hop" that lot.
I'll have to protest against these barriers. They are taking away all the fun.
A tight chicane and massive speed humps would slow traffic to a reasonable speed rather than shutting it completely.
That would be simple logic. But knowing councils its much easier to waste money on other things like net zero LTN's or similar.
Council leader probably has shares in concrete barrier company
This is a temporary solution while they work out the best way for all concerned. But that doesn't include CZcamsrs!
Opinions should be welcomed from everywhere. Most will be unworkable, but there is always the chance that somebody will come up with a brilliant solution to any given problem.
How long does 'temporary' last before it becomes permanent? This needs sorting, the local council needs to make a decision rather than keep wasting money, and potentially breaking the law, by sitting on it's hands. @@Rumouruk
looks like they hadn't decide what to do when they started "working".
As a equipment operator this is hard to watch 🙈
Aye. It was like watching the Saturday boy having a go.
Do you remember the first time you ever operated one ? Didn't think so.
@@graeme9679 yeah I think I was like 10 years old
all very good but it doesn't stop a tractor !
What a crude way to move those concrete blocks. I feel sure the manufacturer would have put lifting points in them. Imagine using this method to move the hundreds used in motorway maintenance.
guy on right at 1.31 looks like he escaped from sesame street lol
That's beaker from the muppet show that is 🤣
i thaught it was bert from sesame street
Bert and Ernies love child.
Ruined sadly by a small group of clowns who drove at max speed through the water. There were a number of bits of footage where cars were on the edge of control. That’s the reason it was closed - just imagine the complaints if there was a crash and people were injured or worse. Then it would be a mass of ‘why didn’t they close it sooner’ comments.
It's always for your own good you need looking after🤔
thing is though - those people would never have had their vehicles insured after doing that if they flooded the engine! So natural justice would have been served on them anyway - so why cause major inconvenience and the loss of local businesses for the few?
One of the worst offenders was a police car being driven at high speed just a week before it was closed. I do find it funny that the police , farmers and businesses are now being inconvenienced by one or two residents who complained
Down with this sort of thing!
@@liamo8932😂😂😂 👍
Just in time for the floods 😂😂
Don’t you just hate the council 🤬 Oh well they’ll be removed again in a few days 😂
In a couple of minutes actually.
Thx from video mr.Tom
Them council drones have no right to close the road.
I hope people will see those barriers at night time, before they hit them!!
Good of Kim Jong-Un to turn out!
Are they doing any construction or just inconveniencing everyone and taking their freedom of passage and choices away? i.e. "we know what's best for you."
the latter
Maybe they're making a 15 minute city 🙄😂
@@alastairward2774 5 min village with a 30 min go around
"We know what is best for you" seems to be the maxim of almost every government.
what's best, would be a damn bridge lol
They need to install anti Tank / Tractor barriers
A sign saying farm vehicles only is all thats needed there is no need to block it off like that
I’m not surprised the farmer and the many locals had had enough of the idiots going through it, I’m so glad no one got seriously injured or killed there 🙏🏻
So we have a danger to life emergency downstream in Retford but the priority is to ensure that drivers don't go through a flooded ford for CZcams clout. Priorities.
Guy on the JCB was hopeless.
Those blocks are heavy and no fork point underneath only lifting eyes on top. They are normally moved and positioned with a hiab crane.
It does actually take a bit of skill to pick them up with the 4 in 1. Further they would likely be on overtime being a Sunday so no rush.
Bravo por lo conseguido gracias a todos los que pusieron en riesgo a los demás
Ahora a disfrutarlo
Que lastima
Ha ha the Council got embarrassed😂🎉🎉
Good help anyone who needs ambulance or fire crew after they block off a whole road with huge concrete blocks 🤔
The people driving through at speed were more likely to cause someone to require an ambulance.
@@alastairward2774don’t think you understood, I put it into simple terms “The emergency services won’t be able to get down that road”
John Deere!! Power 😮
Wasn't that the same two blocks dragged out by the happy farmer
What about the farmers access, this is just madness
They work for a living and provide food.
Apparently, that’s not very valuable. Working and food are back of the priorities. We must make life difficult because some office worker bought a house next to an Old Ford that was here before they were born.
I was really hoping that the JCB would conk out through water in it’s intake!
I bet there’ll still be some twerps in their 4x4s that’ll come piling round the corner and smash into the barriers.
Never mind, I'm sure there's plenty of flooded roads around at the moment for the morons to trash their cars in.
Don't build a bridge or anything, just get a jcb out to block the road and 2/3 guys to watch him.
Try getting the council to fix a pothole on a sunday, well anyday.but they can find a load of guys to do this.killjoys
some clamping force in that bucket. phwoarr
"And ye shall build a bridge, and ye shall get over it. "
Greetings from Australia. Your comments crack me up. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well, it was fun while it lasted...
Wait until the farmers come back , they will deal with that block again
That local farmer. Going to be moving them in about a hour. That's his short cut..
Ive a good idea as my 5yr old Gson says, why not supply the drivers with some brains Grandma? 🎉😂😂
A monument to Karens everywhere
The barriers wont last they will be moved quicker than you can sneeze
I want to know the barber that guy filming went to. He’s clearly got an amazing sense of humour 😂
You guys are obsessed with this place.
With the amount of money the council spend on wasted road projects could they not put in a ranp to go across that river
Cue the General Lee.
And the local farmer comes tonight and moves them
why not lay a few across the road flat and raise the height of the road, water would still flow
put up a couple of ramps and knobheads try to jump it 😅
Won't stop tractors! or unimogs
In Devon we have these things to help us out, we call them bridges.
Not in Plymtree near Cullompton Devon, the road is often impassable due to the Ford running too deep, and the number of cars and lorries that fail in this is huge numbers.
Oh it's a barrier. I thought it was part of a multi million pound flood defence
That driver must be on day rate with how difficult he made that look 😂😂
the jcb driver must be off today.
Looks like the digger and bucket Snowball Engineering just modified.
Remind me; these obstructions were created because locals did not want a water splash, or do I recall that wrongly. If you don’t like living by a Ford why buy a property there? Do I detect a bit of property revaluation here?
hope nobody will hit the blocks
Farmer moved them out the way during the flood as they couldn't see them, shocked me when the video on this channel came out with the farmer and just dragging the bollards under the trailer 🤣
They will, as soon as they're under water. Then they'll have a wrecked flooded car instead of a flooded car. Don't see how that's helpful.
Why not bridge it with concrete blocks, gurders and wooden planks?
Because when it collapses, the insurance companies will have to pay out.
Вот и всё ....
Такой контент перегородили блоками! :-((
This is the end, my friend....😮
Not for the John Deer driver, it wasn't. He just drove straight over them.
All because people don't understand what a Road Closed sign means.
Did they block the other side as well. ?
Build a bridge
Get trump to build a wall
Bet the local mechanic ain't happy 😁
Just build a bloody bridge, then at least it can still be used.
They can’t close it for agriculture use is there any farms near by?.
Could of built a pre made bridge
Across the ford.
Would not of taken 2 weeks to do.
Have these carrot crunchers heard of bridges?
Is that sloth from the Goonies
Hey you guys!!!
Sad days in Rufford Ford.
This was after the farmer driven through?
The Driver of that Constructio machine still needs to learn how to operate it! Thats totally fine btw!
im confused is it open again or this the farmers work to
