They never close these roads off water in the Engine means a rebuild or new this Ford claims hundreds of cars amazing how the public just watch knowing what's going to happen they let them drive in & after ask if they need towing who is charging for this, they all start giving advise why not shout & tell them it's to deep

But you've also got to question the stupidity of the onlookers who don't seem to be discouraging the drivers from attempting to cross, or the local authorities who aren't closing off a road that's clearly impassable to the majority of vehicles.

We think we have somehow reached the pinnacle of intelligence when really we are just driven to try stupid things and we learn the hard way, that's how we got where we are, not by being wise, being stupid enough to do stupid things and when it comes off claim we are geniuses when it doesn't we get to laugh and video has made it all better😂😂😂

are you all seriously demonising the onlookers? theres nothing more than stupid people driving through something they shouldnt, not knowing the limitations of their own vehicles.
when a lorry goes under a bridge that theyre too tall for, ripping their roof off. do you blame the onlookers, the council or the person driving the vehicle?
this ford for the most part is very passable in any average car, after heavy rain its obviously going to be deeper. hence why there are water markers on the bridge so drivers know the depth, before they enter. its only the stupidity of people not thinking, or not knowing how to drive properly.

tbf the advice not to stop is spot on once youve commited that far to going through the ford, because the moment you stop forward momentum, the bow wave just rolls back, swamps the air intake & engine and its game over, and you cant reverse if the exhaust is under water already. the moment the car starts to float its open the doors time, they wont seal properly anyway so you have to accept getting wet at that stage and you might just make it through.

Everyone is quick to slap a snorkel on but doesn't think to check where their diff breathers are, if you plan on going in high water, make sure they are above it.

I am astounded by the stupidity of some people. Is it their first time going down the road? Where does this road go to that they need to go through it and skip any other route. Pretty much the majority of all these cars are totaled.

You can avoid it completely with a 10 minute detour. People are just really dumb and/or impatient.

I google mapped it out of curiosity, picking 2 points on either end. It was a 0.2 mile, or 1 minute difference to avoid this

I reckon some of it must be sat navs claiming its a quicker route or something, theres no way that Royal Mail truck is going that way because it has to

More than most of the others. She asked and thank god became an honest answer to try to back up. Only an asshole would tell her to get going.

Are there no signs warning of the deep water & its lethality to your engine? This is more baffling than the 11 Foot Bridge.
