Same thing here. I have a drying mat that I like and one I don't care for the colors (Costco 2-pack). I'll be using this idea for making the one I don't care for into one I really like.

Oh sure, you could use bias tape around the edge to finish it off or tuck the ends in and sew them down.

You need LIGHT fabric underneath! Hard to tell online, BUT the black/dark mat distorts the lighter fabric strips, awful

Omg! Give it up lady! Boring, uninformative, slow, repetitive and not fit for utube. How many times do you have to pick up and put down scraps? Count the times on the first extra boring 10 minutes.
